I dont think there is a way to escape scam tokens because people would always find a way around and scam others and since Uniswap is like etherdelta where anyone can list tokens then some people would always go and list unofficial tokens that would look like the original tokens... so we all have to be careful not to fall for the scam tokens

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

Who saw before?

How do you describe them?
The news have been going around on this forum about scam tokens on uniswap exchange, the scammers steals other legit projects name and use it to create or build fake tokens, there are few tokens with same name on the exchange, you need to be extremely careful and observe very well before buying any tokens on uniswap

If you are interested in a token and it's only listed on uniswap you must look for the token telegram group and contact the admins or team, ask them for the token smart contract and use that on uniswap to get the actual real token on the decentralized exchange

You can see all listed coin/tokens on UNISWAP on here.  https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/uniswap/

from CMC, we can see there are ~40 coin/tokens listed on there (5 of them don't have any volume anyway). I don't think it's scam or not, but rather about pump and dump coin/token on UNISWAP

How do we know if a token is actually a scam? Do we go by the volume of of the token in circulation? Should we determine by the white paper or by the team behind.
we can't say scam of any project if development is running. volume also big fact for a project without it we considering dead project and no one can not take risk to invest. how much projects are developed just in time which promised in whitepaper before launched? teams promoting to hit top listing before token sale but listing in shady exchange.

There are definitely scam Tokens on uniswap because everyone can list their scam token there by themself they just need to create a pool for it.
One way to scam is that people create a token that has the same ticker as another well known and wanted token, so that people who don't double check buy his fake token instead the real one.
Another way is to create a pool let people trade a bit and then remove all the liquidity.

In my opinion there is no scam token when the token is listed on the uniswap exchange or other exchanges, because when the token is listed on the exchange, of course the token will show the price, and whatever the price looks real there, unless the volume of the token price is not there, maybe the token developer is already leave it and certainly one day the token will be removed from the exchange.

Lots of coins that come from Uniswap that lead to a scam project, maybe we already know that there are lots of market games, prices are pumped then dropped and we have to take risks because sometimes we have to be smart to choose good coins for us to buy and sell in time. certain

Of course there are lots of coin scams on Uniswap, anyone can register their coins on Uniswap by entering the smart contract they have, such as on etherdeltda and forkdelta. To check for a scam or not, we need further analysis for example seeing their products, their partners, and their founders.

Scam tokens are obvious because they are not aiming at making you profit, they are aiming at making themselves richer. So, you can see the difference in places where they are focusing on making themselves richer instead, that is literally the issue there. If they are willing to sell you all the tokens, or most of the tokens, if they are willing to get out or look like they want to get out, that is a scam project without a doubt.

However if they really trust their project and if they do not want to sell their coins, if they want to have as much of their own tokens as possible, that means they really care about the project because if they are holding on to their coins that means they think it will worth something in the future and they will definitely work on making that a reality.

Yes there are a lot of scam tokens in UNI. The most recent was UNIX token, they were providing swap of UNI tokens based on the number of UNIX token you have.

These guys were planning a presale and some one found out that the CEO is a known scammer.

I would say avoid any project that promises UNI tokens.

What do you expect in decentralized exchange ? Of course there are fraud tokens, because anyone can list there as long they have the address and can create liquidity there. We should became smarter already because there were many scam cases like that in the past.
To prevent getting scammed by fraud tokens in uniswap, we just need to double check the address of the token we want to trade.

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

Who saw before?

How do you describe them?

As far as I know all exchange platform are implementing pump and dump system, now about in UNISWAP I am pretty sure there is a listed coin over this platform that the volume is not good either. And I also think that all of the platform site exchange had their listed coins on which are considered a shit coin were there is no demand volume.

There are more scams in it than legit tokens and it is affecting on the UNISWAP reputation, The volume of uniswap is decreasing every day also the UNI$ token price because more people get rugged every day and trust it less, I have been rugged in it once and try to avoid it as much as I could.

Every exchange has scam tokens, even exchanges like Binance have a lot of scam tokens. It is not guaranteed that trusted exchanges
will not have scam tokens. Therefore I believe that UNISWAP exchange has scam tokens too, it has often been discussed how to avoid
investing in scam tokens. So I won't explain anymore. Please find by yourself information related to detecting scam projects. Because
if it is explained it can be quite long.

Are there scam tokens in UNISWAP?

How do you describe them?
So many scam token in UNISWAP, many tokens with the same name but different contract address, so I think if you don't know exactly about uniswap better to choose a trusted exchange like Binance than uniswap. We want to make money in crypto, right?? So I think we should avoid risk from all side

Uniswap is decentralized, so easy to make liquidity and listed there, so be careful
Yes, it is true. yesterday I saw a token listed on Uniswap with a project name that had not been completed and was still in the presale and private sale stage.
and strangely the smartcontract checked blue, it means verified. but it is a fake token and many have been deceived.

If you are more careful, there may be lots of new tokens and tokens that have been registered at Uniswap in fact a scam. but for more details, you can research and find out each token listed there. i am observing that most of the new tokens don't have trading volume there yet. and some also end up with a scam.

There are tons of DeFi projects that comes in, maybe others were able to earn from them in the start but in the long run they will just lost their value like how ICO Projects before that have no trading volume now or been Delisted already in many exchanges. We will see more in the coming days who will only remain in the market actively tradable.

There are some scam for sure because the Uniswap team cannot handle checking or monitoring them all.

But I'm sure that the team will make actions in necessarily according to the report so what we need to do is report each scam that we will find across the line.

And also try not to get inside those scamw, before investing better ask the community regarding .
