Haha, I m just a small fan borrowing the name bhai The man really was something else. Stories like Idgah and Godan are still relevant today, which says a lot about how well he understood people. Glad the name got some respect on in this community too.

Right, his quick thinking clearly made a big difference. I'd just not go too far into "what if" scenarios though, since nobody can really say how things would have played out. For now important thing is that everyone on board got home safe and the captain is recovering.

When it comes to negotiations, I doubt anyone can win if there is an Indian in the play.

Honestly I don't know much about our railways and traveled a few times on Vande Bharat which feels like extremely cheap for the benefits we are getting but I read that it is the extreme premium version of IRCTC and also saw a guy travel for a stretch of 4300km with fare of 850 on an unreserved choach of some express and if we have to provide these kind of economical fare then we have to be a tough negotiator for sure.

Indian IT sectors are known to be high skills IT service providers to big clients in the US and Europe. These employees of Indian companies have been blamed by the MAGA crowd as job snatchers. To satisfy them, Trump came up with this new law. I know this law will not change in the future if a different president comes to power. What will happen now? My understanding of this situation is that more GCCs will now come up in India.

Indian IT sectors are known to be high skills IT service providers to big clients in the US and Europe. These employees of Indian companies have been blamed by the MAGA crowd as job snatchers. To satisfy them, Trump came up with this new law. I know this law will not change in the future if a different president comes to power. What will happen now? My understanding of this situation is that more GCCs will now come up in India.

But Railway minister has given the official target of 15 august 2027, so we will see. Some news are saying that initial operations from Surat-Bilimora stretch will be Indian made not Shinkansen trial.

Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor is just the first one (and in a way the pilot project as well) with seven other corridors (incl. a Varanasi-Siliguri via Patna, so it looks like easterners havent been totally forgotten atleast on paper) announced in Budget this year. But that would be still in the planning stage and we will see how much realistic those are and their respective timelines would be once we see the performance of the first corridor.

All I see is a desperate attempt by the Trump government with false information like make Americans great so that we need to deport everyone else. In reality, those tech giants will lose revenue if no people is working from India and other countries, so there will be short-term effects and in the next term after 2028 this will be back to normal. IT companies can't pay that much for Western workers.

GCC growth had started picking up in last few years in country and the recent developments will probably further fast track the growth. Companies in the US requiring technical resources rather than dealing with the new rules and political hassles would prefer setting up or expand their centers in the country.

There would be some uncertainty for employees in the pipeline but in the long run it might be a good thing forcing Indian IT industry to move towards higher end solutions and hubs in India and not just bank on the US based onsiters.

Trump is getting everything from India but Modi will only stoop and believe that his best friend will come to his help. Elon Musk is clearly trying to topple the government with his tweets. Whereas on his platform, they have used so many racial slurs, which he has allowed for so long against Indians. This government does not care about Indians. They only care about power.

If there were a good leader in the opposition, I would have voted for him. It is such a bad thing in democracy when we can clearly see the opposition has been compromised.

CJP was always an AAP outlet. They came as student defendants eventually, they showed their true colors and now each leader of that party will rot in hell, as Amit Shah knew these cockroaches would show their real behaviour. It is the end of the story for them, but what about replacing the gov or a regime change? It ain't gonna happen.

Not in a month, maybe it will take longer and in my opinion, the desi community alone is not enough to make it big because we have our own version of TikTok in the name of Moj, but it didn't get the traction and there are a hundred others. It will take time but sure Indians can make it even better and they are the one already doing it but now they have to from the home, probably for the lesser pay but to live in the controled chaos which feels like home.

Not in a month, maybe it will take longer and in my opinion, the desi community alone is not enough to make it big because we have our own version of TikTok in the name of Moj, but it didn't get the traction and there are a hundred others. It will take time but sure Indians can make it even better and they are the one already doing it but now they have to from the home, probably for the lesser pay but to live in the controled chaos which feels like home.

Fine tune and making it clean would be continues process but think we already have alternative options already in place.

All we need is political will and group of based babus who are not looking for some sponsorships for their kids. Even vested interests won't be able to do anything if these 2 conditions are met.

There is a bigger issue that the US and Europe are currently facing, which is illegal immigration. Some of these nations have opened their doors and are spending billions on these irregular migrants. In the US, the Republican platform argues that the Democratic party has supported open borders and spent massive amounts of taxpayer money on feeding and housing them. A major hurdle Donald Trump faces is how to handle this crisis, especially when right-wing policies face intense pushback from what conservatives view as a left-leaning mainstream media.

In reality, those tech giants will lose revenue if no people is working from India and other countries, so there will be short-term effects and in the next term after 2028 this will be back to normal. IT companies can't pay that much for Western workers.

Even now, tech companies in the US are hiring remote employees from India and other Asian countries, a trend that has been going on for a few years. I doubt whether the next political term will make any drastic changes, even if the Democrats win, because the majority of these tech companies are firing employees as part of an AI migration. It is not only tech companies either; transportation, logistics, finance, banking, and the retail sector are all cutting down their workforces in huge numbers.

It is a far cry from the truth: the US is the biggest market for Indian exporters, and as long as the US holds the upper hand in technology and high-end military hardware, we—like everyone else—are also their partners. We have the market size, the US has the investment, and it is a mutual benefit we are sharing.

Regarding Twitter, Elon Musk spent $44 billion on a company that didn't have that valuation just to create a free-speech sanctuary where everyone can voice their opinion without interruption. Before that, the US government was censoring users who did not follow what they were told, and all the social media platforms were falling in line. Once Elon Musk purchased Twitter at that astronomical rate and revealed the inner games the government was playing, the rest of the platforms were forced to reveal why they were restricting users.

But the reason for firing the Indians or just their employee is not to hire more US citizens, but just to save unnecessary pay when those jobs can be done with the AI integration. So blocking the US green card process will stop immigrants from taking new jobs but I am sure that no US citizen is going to replace those roles, just some AI agent will do that.

And for the stretch these companies will just hire employees remotely and no need to pay huge fees for the withdrawal processing, more savings to the companies, while the politician has a reason to play the next election for the leaders, so it is kind of win win for both parties.
