BTW.. Binance got hacked! I hope your funds are safe and that no one was using the exchange to hold funds. The hacked amount is in the billions, and before today's hack, a hacking incident was reported in 2019 & 2022.
No wonder the market was bleeding red today. I was thinking what actually happened to see the market moving down all of a sudden. The reports now say that Binance lost over $6 billion to the hack, and how are they going to recover from this huge amount.

~
Largest crypto heist yet.
Binance have confirmed that users funds are safe and they will cover losses. Around $3 Billion has been frozen. Initial reports point to North Korean hackers.
This type of situation shows that even the largest exchanges arent 100% secure. Long term self custody is still a better option.
How come the North Koreans were able to hack into the biggest crypto exchange? This won't be the last hacking news we hear this year. Is the site halted for the time being or is it still working?

It is common sense that you should not hold any of your funds on any third party wallet. Every year we hear about major hacking incidents, and if someone is unable to understand the risk, he or she should not waste their money.

I truly believe that any political ideology that is implemented to the extreme would create issues. Too much focus on the left wing and communism could lead to a totalitarian state. The same can be said about the right wing and hyper-nationalism—it will lead to supremacy. Too much capitalism will lead to monopolies and create a feudal state. If it moves to a theocracy, it will lead to religious fundamentalism. Anything in moderation is always good for a well-balanced society.
So you justify, from 1960 till now, the killing of active workers by both CPI[M] & combined RSS+BJP workers? It is a state that is known for high literacy, yet they work like a political party/OGW in WB. This is what communism does, which is one of the biggest failed ideologies in this world. Look at China, NK & Russia; if you say anything about the party or the leader, a citizen will get killed.

WB was destroyed by the Communists, and so is Kerala. BTW.. Cuba is one of the countries that is 100 percent educated citizens. But what they are educating their kids is questionable. This is how regimes works and since they cannot do it in India because of our democatic value they stage protest like Neha Vohra did. I am sure she will see prison soon.

We will see many more happening in Kerala a few months back we saw how an ex IPS officers daughter was caught smuggling gold. God owns country is know for having more golds than any states in India.
This is just one part of it, there's an another ugly side of it. Which eality un/intentionly didn't mention.

Muslim league, recently some mp from Kerala congress told in news seminar ki humne sambhal rakha hai inko warna pata nhi kya ho jaye baki logo ( religions) ka.

Gulf influence and power hungry politicians messed up this one bad.

Investigation is still on. It was done by exploiting engineers laptop that had been compromised to allow withdrawals. Binance have confirmed there was no leak of private keys.
They are currently pausing withdrawals and in this mean time they secure everything. Deposits are still open. With these huge hacks happening every year it really doesnt make sense to leave large amounts of crypto on exchanges for extended periods of time.

Look at China, NK & Russia; if you say anything about the party or the leader, a citizen will get killed.
I never justified any violence, nor do I endorse any political ideology. Hence, I made it clear in the above statement that any political ideology can only be conceived in moderation, and any excessive implementation will cause problems.

Is there any political ideology that is more successful? If so, I would like to hear about it so we can have a debate regarding that as well. Wink

You can say that West Bengal was destroyed by the communist rule because they ruled consecutively for 34 years. If any political party rules for that long, it will destroy everything and corruption will be the major issue. In Kerala, you usually have a term for the Communist party and a term for Congress. It was only in the last ten years that the Communist party was able to win consecutive times, and that too because of the good work they did during the COVID period. Now, after the latest election, Congress is ruling in Kerala.

In a democracy, everyone has the ability and should raise their voice against any political party without the fear of getting locked up, and that is the true meaning of democracy.

We will see many more happening in Kerala a few months back we saw how an ex IPS officers daughter was caught smuggling gold. God owns country is know for having more golds than any states in India.
You will find individual cases like these everywhere in India. Kerala does have more gold, and its households hold a massive amount of it. It is not provided by the government or grants; people earn their living going abroad, and the majority of families here have at least one member abroad.

If you look at the metrics in this country according to government reports, Kerala always tops the SDG indexes. The state leads the country in achieving the zero hunger targets and quality education, while also topping the Health Index, the Human Development Index, and literacy. Kerala is not a highly industrialized state, and its economy is smaller than other states, but it still tops the Social Progress Index in India.

The social infrastructure development in Kerala was there well before we got independence, and hence no political party can solely claim credit for it. Later on, after independence, there were major land reforms by the Communist party that provided property to the landless, which was a major change. Since then, both political parties have focused heavily on education and healthcare.

~
This is just one part of it, there's an another ugly side of it. Which eality un/intentionly didn't mention.

Muslim league, recently some mp from Kerala congress told in news seminar ki humne sambhal rakha hai inko warna pata nhi kya ho jaye baki logo ( religions) ka.

Gulf influence and power hungry politicians messed up this one bad.
I am not someone who is affiliated with any particular political party. I have friends from all social and political circles, and I do attend their events if I am invited. So, I do not view these matters with prejudice, and I do not intentionally ignore anything that is unfair either.

I am not sure what context you are talking about here. The majority of national news channels just run propaganda and do not even post factual content. The Muslim League is a party that was created just after independence in Chennai. During the initial phase they were with the Communist party, and for the past 50 years they have been in a coalition with the Congress party. Their unified team is the one ruling in Kerala right now.

Since the Congress alliance includes many different coalition parties, there will always be a power struggle, and it is not a big secret either. If this aspect you are talking about and you think I missed.

I can understand the direction in which the conversation is heading by mentioning the Gulf influence. The majority of the people here work in GCC countries, and since the 1970s, that has been the primary destination for everyone here. Even if you look at the major businesses in the Gulf, the majority are owned by Keralites.

For the past several decades, people from Kerala have moved to every continent. There is even a popular saying that you will find a Malayali on the moon.

^^ i believe you but how come you left out this angle specially in context of Bengal and kerala? You didn't mention at all,  like it didn't matter. Politically affiliation or not, it hardly matter as long as one is being objective in any conversation be it political or otherwise.

Pointing at Kerala CM Satheesan's statement where he basically justified existence of Muslim league in Kerala by saying that if it's not there then radical outfits will take it's place ( like muslim league is not radical enough).

Conversation moving in this direction because that's a fact. Gulf influence did fuck the Kerala and gave space to Islamists. No one forgot how Kerala provided indian foot soldiers to ISIS and believe it or not but in NATSEC community kerala is considered a breeding ground for Islamists.

Bhaiya, ye to khatarnak point out hai. I basically did not have the faintest idea about it. One thing I would like to point out here is the Moplah massacre, where an estimated 600 to 2500 hindus lost their lives. There were so many Hindus who were forcibly converted to Islam, and at the same time, a lot of the Hindu women were used as sex slaves.

Above all, an estimated more than 4 million Keralites are living in the Middle East. My question is: if the communist or the Congress government that ruled this state was so good, then why did so many of them leave their motherland to work in those countries. It is just like Biharis and WB people who can be found in every state for livelihood except their own state.

I simply cannot understand what special angle you are talking about. If I am going to list all the parties involved in all the major political parties it will take a long time and you could simply get those details online.

Since you have no idea about these minor details, I will list some of the details and you can search online for the rest.

UDF consist of a coalition of seven parties. This is considered to be the congress party here.
LDF consist of a coalition of ten parties. This is considered to be the communist party here.
NDA consist of a coalition two parties alongside minor unregistered allies. This is where BJP party comes.

Pointing at Kerala CM Satheesan's statement where he basically justified existence of Muslim league in Kerala by saying that if it's not there then radical outfits will take it's place ( like muslim league is not radical enough).
This is how words are being twisted to create a narrative out of ideas and words exchanged. Kerala CM Satheesan’s remark was a claim about what happens if the League weakens; it was not an argument that the League is radical.

The Muslim League party in Kerala is not radical, and if you think otherwise, I would like you to list the radical things they did. I am not sure about the party in other states, but I am certain about the party in Kerala, which is the reason they have been in a coalition with the Congress party for five decades.

I am posting the exact material he mentioned in an online chat, and you can reach your conclusion on what he actually said—or if there is a narrative being created.

https://youtube.com/shorts/4yj-ppR0uHo?si=sHb9HEmLBbIIebFs

One thing is clear: a CM will not call his coalition party members radical, because the Muslim League has been in a coalition with the Congress party for over 50 years. The logic is simple, doing so would destabilise his own cabinet and contradict five decades of shared governance between the Congress and the Muslim League.

Conversation moving in this direction because that's a fact. Gulf influence did fuck the Kerala and gave space to Islamists. No one forgot how Kerala provided indian foot soldiers to ISIS and believe it or not but in NATSEC community kerala is considered a breeding ground for Islamists.
The biggest difference here is that it is not a unique problem to Kerala alone. National security records show that ISIS modules and sympathizers have been arrested across multiple Indian states—including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.

To create a narrative of a breeding ground, you need to have low literacy, high lawlessness, and deep communal segregation, none of which is true for Kerala. Kerala is a state with zero large-scale communal riots, which cannot be said or matched by other major states in India.

You can fetch the complete details online. There were people who got radicalized, but they got their inspiration online and not from any centers here in Kerala.

The ugly truth is, it has been happening since a long time across different times and still continues to happen.
We are not doing anything out of it but keep facing the consequences again and again.
Even today, Muslims have unity and so they try to overpower others in group whereas the others keep facing trouble and nobody joins them for help.

@eality your first line clears all the air. You've no problem in mentioning rss or even bjp which was literally non existent in those States. They had virtually zero political power and no monopoly on violence but you conviently left out IUML, which is a big player. You can't hide their name in disguise of collision.

His statement sounded like pakistan military and political leadership, we are not radicals so please give us money and support otherwise our nukes will fall in to real radicals' hands. Only non radical thing about IUML is that they came into democratic folds. Anyone who is in favor of blasphemy is radical IMO.

First ISIS arrest happened in kerala, india way back in 2015, followed by first ISIS module bust in 2016, again kerala. In peak of arrests and investigation Kerala had representation of around 60% 70%. Which settled around 30%-40% in 2019 despite being a small state that's why it's considered a breeding ground.

Its a fair comment to make that IUML do play a role in Kerala Politics. However, this doesnt mean they support the extremist ideology.

Kerala being referred to as a breeding ground needs to be considered in terms of actual statistics. Are you referring to 60 to 70 cases (as mentioned in the ORF analysis of 2019) or are you referring to 60-70% of all cases in India? In addition, looking at the statistics from the NIA in 2019 shows more arrests relating to ISIS in Tamil Nadu.

While it is true that there have been cases like this in Kerala, it isnt fair to refer to the whole state as a breeding ground. The actual statistics and time frame need to be considered.

^^ depends on what do we consider as extremist?

ORF and every news report feels like sanitized version because overall Indian numbers were tiny in comparison to other countries but almost every major report had one common thing that how Kerala was in middle of it because of diaspora connection with the gulf.

60%-70% cases i am referring to when investigation started and those investigation lead NIA to various part of north India, specially some faction of tablaqi jamaat and Deoband in up and their plan wasn't travelling abroad but doing terror activities in India itself, which was connected to al qaida with pak handlers.

Call it ground zero or breeding ground but it doesn't change the fact that those fucks opted for Kerala as their base in south india. Radicals found a loopholes and fault lines in society and took advantage of it. One could accept as it is and take necessary precautions for future or keep living in la la land.

So the best argument is an event that took place 26 years before India even got independence. The content and the conflict you are mentioning here are not true either. It was an uprising against the British which turned into an all-out war.

Do not feed into the false narratives. People who participated in those events were alive and documented the events in detail, and you will find many legitimate publications about the event.

The major flaw here is that comparing Keralites in the Gulf to domestic labor migration from states like Bihar or West Bengal is economically and factually incorrect.

The fact remains that successive Congress and Left governments heavily invested in high-quality education and healthcare. If people in Kerala become highly qualified professionals, they will migrate outside India to find new and better opportunities.

The millions of global Keralites and their remittances has made Kerala one of the wealthiest states in India with the highest purchasing power, lowest poverty rates, and top ranks on NITI Aayog's development indexes. These are facts that can be verified by the central government data.

I am following the news and we all understand the narrative that the political north and media is trying to portray. Wink

@eality your first line clears all the air. You've no problem in mentioning rss or even bjp which was literally non existent in those States. They had virtually zero political power and no monopoly on violence but you conviently left out IUML, which is a big player. You can't hide their name in disguise of collision.
You can go through everything I mentioned. So you are basically telling me that only a political party in power has any say. If that is the case outside, that is not the truth in Kerala. You can find all the details and archives online regarding the fight between the RSS, BJP, Communists, and the Congress party, and the violent killings a few decades ago. If you are still leaving out a party even after the entire party structure was explained, what more should I say?

You are pinpointing a reality of a party structure that has been here in Kerala with the Congress party for the past 50 years as if it is something new. You can convince people who have no idea about the political climate here, but why should I neglect something that is part of the ruling and opposition history? The topic which started everything was not about different political parties, it was about political violence.

His statement sounded like pakistan military and political leadership, we are not radicals so please give us money and support otherwise our nukes will fall in to real radicals' hands. Only non radical thing about IUML is that they came into democratic folds. Anyone who is in favor of blasphemy is radical IMO.
Are you claiming that the Kerala CM said this? If so, I would like to see that video. There is a lot of political debate going on from other parties regarding some of the statements, but I view these as political drama.

The first arrest happened in Bangalore, if I am not wrong.

Official Ministry of Home Affairs data shows completely different figures than you convey. So what are the actual facts? Are you saying that the central government data is not true?

You can search online about Operation Pigeon conducted by the Kerala Police during that period.

^^ yeah I'm off on first arrest but not on other things and don't want to repeat same thing.

Check out this orf's report ( one of the many) based on NIA and statement from home ministry in parliament. MEA briefings are not included because it keep changing as it progress.

Also, like i mentioned to munshi premchand it's a sanitized version because of low number of participation from India.

https://www.orfonline.org/research/the-islamic-state-in-india-s-kerala-a-primer

Edit

Oh yeah about that Moplah massacre. Like shashi tharoor said on this topic " you have your truth and other side have their truth and truth somewhere is in between" that's why it's called moplah massacre/rebellion/ riot lol

Same moplah argument was used in Kashmir when pundit were butchered and driven out ( pointing at bharka dutt & co and secular jamaat of Delhi)

...

There is no denying the connection to diaspora. Money, ideology and other things have flowed through this route for years.
However, to say that Kerala is the primary source will need to be backed up with more data. As NIA investigations started to ramp up there were many modules and handlers being set up in many states. Cases have been reported in Kerala, UP, Maharashtra, Karnataka etc. But Kerala has more media exposure due to higher literacy and better local reporting.
There are cracks in every society. The speed of the local system to react to issues is what matters. In most cases there has been a relatively quick response between the Kerala police and NIA.
It is important to recognise this issue. It wony help to make a single state the bad guy when there is a larger network at play.

^^ lol it's actually true. Poorly handled because of TRP, they could have handled this privately but nope, have to create new controversy or maybe the msz is " it's a one way street".

@munshi Prem Chand
Its a term used by NATSEC community whenever kerala name pops up and it's unofficial term. Like i mentioned, majority of activities and reports etc in public are sanitized because of political structure and couple of other reasons like religion and the fact that india had a low participation, believe it or not it was actually bragging point for the politicians in world stage. Like see, we have big muslim population still such a low number from India.

Maybe we should think about why NIA and other agencies majorily focused on running de-radicalising drive in kerala with local police? Maybe someone from high command actually did danda and said get your shit together.

https://www.orfonline.org/research/the-islamic-state-in-india-s-kerala-a-primer
Since you posted this link, I will just quote what is mentioned in this article and check whether it has any similarities to your claims.

Quote
The southern state of Kerala has been found to have the highest number of pro-IS cases in all of India, with about 40 of the 180 to 200 cases. These are individuals who have either displayed an inclination to travel to West Asia to join the caliphate, or in fact did so; as well as a sizeable number who are currently being prosecuted by law enforcement agencies and the courts..
People who posted anything supporting radical groups were arrested, but this figure does not prove that these 40 people from Kerala actually participated in or joined ISIS. There is a huge difference between tracking someone for a social media post and proving they actually went and joined a terror outfit.

Quote
law enforcement agencies launched ‘Operation Pigeon’. It was a “de-radicalisation drive” aimed at timely and strategic intervention in an individual’s movement from ‘thought’ to ‘action’ of pro-IS ideology
This drive was conducted by the Kerala police

Quote
In total, 350 individuals (all male) were identified and approached by police with help of local community members including religious leaders, families, friends and parents to deter them from following the IS path. This number was higher than what other states reported across India.
This was the result of operation Pigeon conducted by Kerala police.

Quote
Pro-IS cases in other Indian states such as Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal were aimed more towards conducting attacks on local targets, and not necessarily joining the caliphate abroad, which is the common narrative in most Kerala cases. Moreover, the fact that Kerala has a generally harmonious inter-faith dynamic may have prevented Keralites from choosing targets within Kerala.
There might be a few radicalised or unstable individuals, but what does that have to do with the overall population here in Kerala? We have never faced systemic terror threats, nor has the average person from Kerala gone and carried out attacks elsewhere. You cannot use the actions of a microscopic fringe to label an entire state.

Quote
This comes on the back of cells operating in the Gulf, comprising both Indians and other nationals, working to attract Indians online towards the IS ideology and then attempting to help them to travel to Syria. This included online “influencers” such as Mehdi Biswas, an engineer from India’s IT hub Bengaluru, who was known as @ShamiWitness on Twitter and was one of IS’ biggest supporters and propagators online. The online sphere has also played a significant role in bringing IS propaganda to communities in Kerala, along with opportunities of interacting with like-minded radicalised individuals, both locally and internationally via social media..
These points are just copied from the article you posted. The people who got influenced were radicalised online, not by any physical groups operating inside Kerala. They are building a narrative that Kerala is a terror hub just because a few unstable individuals got influenced by radical elements on the internet.

If you go by that logic, Delhi appears to be the prime capital for theft and crimes against women in India. It makes it easy for people to casually label it the 'rape capital' or 'crime university' of the country.

However, people who actually understand the facts and the geography know that Delhi is a transit hub. It has massive corridors connecting multiple states, meaning a significant chunk of these street and property crimes are perpetrated by floating populations and criminal elements moving into Delhi from neighbouring regions, rather than the residents of Delhi itself.

You can bend the truth and change the narrative as you wish, but the facts remain. People were deported and jailed by the British in the Andaman Cellular Jail, and official reports always vary on whether it was 10,000 or 50,000 who participated in these uprisings, where so many were crushed and killed by the colonial rulers.

A hundred years later, when people try to rewrite history with the help of the media, I can only laugh and ignore this propaganda. I am certain that people who are sensible and have studied the actual history will not buy into an alternative narrative.

I do not have any relatives who participated or can personally vouch for this, especially since I live 450 to 500 km south of that region. But the historical fact remains the same.

~
I accidentally came across this post on Reddit. I am posting this image, and I want to know whether this really happened on TV. If this is actual news, then I have nothing to say about secularism in India.
This is exactly how narrative farming works—using a fake narrative wrapped in a religious context. The Bigg Boss reality show is currently ongoing, and you can watch it right now on Hotstar, where the participants mentioned are still active in the game. If you watch the actual episodes, you can reach your own logical conclusion. These participants never displayed or played up any love angle in the show, and the majority of the housemates only found out about this supposed angle when the show host mentioned the situation.

You can watch the entire episode—and hopefully, it has English subtitles. Do not fall for clickbait. If you have the ability to research a narrative, it is always better to do that before falling for false stories.

Just think logically about why there is a systematic control of public perception toward Kerala all of a sudden. Is it to achieve political, social, or ideological goals? Or is the main agenda simply political polarization and vote bank consolidation?

Usually, I am not that interested in getting involved in petty politics because I clearly understand their driving perspective and how they can manufacture the exact evidence you want to see. I am not saying this about any particular political party. Every party wants power, be it Congress or the BJP. They will create whatever narrative they need to convince the masses or confuse them.

I am mentioning these two parties only because they are the two main national competing parties, and I'm not ignoring the rest for any ulterior motives. Tongue

There is a video that is also being circulated of the same. I only posted the image, as the forum does not support video posting. Please do check the video once in the original language, as I do not believe something like this can happen on mainstream programs that is being streamed live on location-specific channels. If you authenticate it with your response, and if something like the image stated happened, then I have no issue with believing that secularism is only targeted at a particular majority religion in this country by the opposition.

I have no direct loyalty or favouritism toward a particular party, but after 2014, things have been so clear to me that I sometimes doubt what the communists and Congress want. I still believe this government and the ruling party should consider removing the current shit FM. The right media is always against our community, as they believe we are all agents of the PAK, BAN & US who are trying to destroy us. I know that is fake propaganda.

I have many friends from the peace religion and those who believe in Christ. They had interfaith marriages, but I have not seen anyone trying to forcefully convert me.  Grin
