I don't know much politics in New Zealand.

But this only shows that the people liked her and with the response her government did against covid-19 was a big factor. I've looked for related articles and most of those are praising her victory.

And their victory against covid-19 made their lives back to normal which turned their people to still choose her to govern them.

This is an historic win for the labour party in 50 years. Her decisive response to COVID-19 pandemic was a major factor why people elected her again.
I have not seen any party won by such majority of votes anywhere in the world. She is a true leader who lives in the heart of the people.

@jossile you’re absolutely correct because their citizens saw how well she handled the pandemic, and that’s why she won the elections. Furthermore I believe that this is a clue for other country’s leaders that people will now vote on how well did they handle the pandemic, and if those leaders have failed to handle it well then they’ll be in big trouble as people will avoid voting for them.

New Zealand's Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been elected prime minister for a second term his party did worse than expected from opinion polls which saw them at gaining about 49 percent of the vote. But the second wave of coronaviruses was delayed by a month. New Zealand is currently the only Corona-free country for which the Jacinda government has been praised all over the world women are also far ahead in terms of opportunities.

With such landslide win on their election, the voice of the people is with her and trust her due to the response. And it's not only New Zealand that saw that success but the entire world did. While most of our countries are still struggling or at least now in moderation in the control and battle against covid, they've done it earlier.

Yes, this is the pattern for the upcoming elections in other countries too. If the current leadership didn't handled the battle against covid well, they'll both for the other party.

Seems that she has strong charisma to her people. But aside from that, I believe she also did a lot to her countrymen, that's why people love her. Let's see how she will handle the aftermath of the pandemic in her country. Can they easily recover ahead of other first world countries?

Talking about recovery.

They have overcome the pandemic. While the rest of the world is still in recovery, they're now living their lives normally. There's no need for them to recover, they are in the first phase and went their lives back and their entire economy normal.

First world or any type, what matters is they are not the same as us who are still dealing with the pandemic. They can go everywhere and their economy is just continuing while us, we're into lock downs and have travel restrictions.

Yep, well said mate. Like you, I don't know much about New Zealand's politics. But I'm not surprised she won and was re-elected as their country's Prime Minister. Their fight against Covid is really a huge victory and her being re-elected just shows how her people liked her leadership. I just hope we also have a Jacinda Ardern in our country.  Undecided

Nobody here, to my knowledge, has mentioned the magnitude of this win as well. Ardern's party won 64 seats in parliament, a majority that will allow them to rule by themselves. This means that if they want to, they do not need to form an alliance among other parties and can simply do everything from within their own party and not have to give up on any of their beliefs to get the votes to form a government.

Just for reference, I think this is the first time this has happened since the new proportional voting system was established 24 years ago.

I think many countries presidents and officials have done great efforts in controlling the covid-19 from spreading but no one has been recognized and awarded as much as Jacinda Ardern.  I hope NZ will continue the fight against pandemic and other countries should take lesson from them on how to control coronavirus effectively.
