So i'm trying to consult the experts here lol, I've tried everything I know.

I have a B250 ASUS Mining Expert. I originally tried runing the mobo with a Celeron 4900 and thought, why isnt it booting.
Found out this cpu is not on the list of supported cpus so I went out and bought a I5-6500T - that is on the list.

So now im thinking it'll finally give me a display. nope. Only plugged in the hdmi to the mobo, cpu power, psu power to section A of the mobo and the CPU.
Still it will turn on, fans running, keyboard lights up, but then no display even with minimal stuff plugged in.

I've tried different RAM dim slots. I have GSkill 4gb Unbuffered Non-ecc ram. it should work, ive seen and heard of others running this board with RAM that isnt on the list.
I have a motherboard speaker coming in the mail but its weeks away and the RMA will take similar time i feel.

Does this sound like an RMA to anyone else?
Any help is appreciated.

Which video card are you running?

FYI, this is the Bitcoin mining section, this should be moved down to the altcoin section.

belongs in altcoins not here, but lets try this is it new or used?

is the i5-6500t new or used.

the i5-6500t has an intergrated graphics gpu but the mobo may not be set to allow on board graphics.

make sure the hdmi cable works
make sure the monitor works

use a different pc to check that.

I would say pull the battery and clear the bios.

then boot the gear using the onboard hdmi jack.

if it does not work.

boot with a card in the one full slot and use the cards hdmi jack.

if all that fails rma it.

Ive tried resetting the cmos, ive booted the computer without the battery, removed it, everything, its definitely been reset, even tried different cmos batteries.

Ive tried with amd and nvidia cards directly in the x16 slot and the hdmi in the card doesnt work or the hdmi in the mobo also doesnt work.

Tried with different monitor and hdmi.

Tried with a different ram stick, ddr4 2400 from my rig using a h110 mobo. still didnt boot with that ram. tried it with both sticks in multi configs, still nothing.

Tried a different PSU with only power cables, ram, cpu and display and still nothing.

I feel ive tried everything.

Ive tried reseating the ram plenty of times too, literally everything.

P.S. The board is new from Newegg and the CPU is used but it came from a minidesk that works when i put the cpu back into the minidesk and fire that up it works fine so the cpu is working.

try with hdmi to vga adapter, i think the most stable output for mining is using vga output, but this MB doesnt come with it

and try using lowes ram speed, or using some gpus that have vga out. if no display again definetly rma is the only way

just advice gigabyte fintech 250 the most stable dedicated motherboard i ever used it,the output is vga & dvi, no hdmi output, its same price with asus

sometimes that works .

sometimes a display cable to the cpu and  dvi to the monitor.
or a display to hdmi cable
or a hdmi to dvi cable

I have basically every possible cable combo there is and sometime one will work.

I am thinking you have a dead mobo. but trying a few other cables could possibly work.

you are using windows 10?

but it sounds like it won't even post.

Running that mobos from asus b250 mining expert. never had issues, using celeron g3930. 8g ram 2133mhz and 120g ssd. unplug everything only leave mobo cpu ram and connect hdmi to monitor maybe change monitor, different monitor and different hdmi cable. if mobo is new and cpu working it should give post.
