crypto have real products too, in term of software products.
no reason to invest in gas or real estate at this point. most big countries now heavy on battery vehicles and the u.s pumping out gas/fracting hard! in california around 15 more years all new vehicle can't use gas. low price don't mean it's going to pump later, gas is a dying industry.

real estate at all time high. no reason to buy house 400k in a couple years later worth 200k.

You know exactly software products not category as a real products. Software is not real

Nah the bubble got burst already, that’s why the DeFi tokens have dropped more than 60% (majority of them). It’s not new, I was already expecting that to happen, we have seen other similar things that came out and trended for some months and suddenly they burst and everything is over.

With the last drop in the price of bitcoin, many altcoins lost more than half of their value. But not all tokens of the DeFi sector are new tokens, among them there are projects that were created in 2017, such as LINK. Now, when the hype subsides, only such projects that will have individual characteristics will remain on the market.

And who told you that all DeFi projects don't have real products? I see you are a newbie, you'd better spend time learning what few DeFi projects have in stock, projects like Polkadot, Chainlink, Synthesis aren't here to play, not all DeFi projects are complete waste of time and money, DYOR

There are quite a few people in these comments who are coming around to the point that DeFi is here to stay. Atleast for as long as the regulators allow DEXes like UNISWAP to operate. Bitcoin is a completely different proposition compared to DeFi. Any serious person who is putting money into such projects is also keeping his bitcoin. Because bitcoin is the foundation that actually gives legitimacy to the whole idea of cryptocurrency.
Without Bitcoin, all of these other projects would simply be private servers run by a bunch of people giving away useless tokens and essentially engaging in unregulated, financial fraud. It is their liquidity with respect to BITCOIN (through USDT, ETH etc) that these projects are surviving. You remove bitcoin from the equation and i guarantee that all the REAL investors putting thousands of dollars into these alternate blockchains will just withdraw.

Also, for all the talk about PolkaDot, Synthesis etc, there is still nothing novel or revolutionary about any of them. The only real success in this whole space till now has been UNISWAP which has been able to garner a huge market share and attention with its Pooling and LP model. The rest are all just people with deep pockets throwing money at these devs hoping that they would eventually come up with the next biggest network effect.

Defi hype is not yet over. Many investors (specially newbies) are trying their luck to invest in defi projects. Its not going to end soon as long as there are investors that keep supporting it.

On the other side the idea of investing in real business is always good. Because you can see physically the progress of your effort, however its not going to easy. Like other investment business has also risk even there's a working product.

I don't think this will be the end of Defi but the defi concept is still in it's early stages and needs to improve a lot. The scam yielding projects need to wiped out too but who knows maybe defi will play a big part in the future.

indeed the exchange places that use the most ethereum gas are exchanges such as Uniswap etc. because the transactions there use gas and their respective fees, so in my opinion the Uniswap site has lowered its gas costs which are too high while for FOMO it will still be there just don't know when it happens again.

DeFi in the first place is not sustainable in the long run. People liked DeFi because of greed, for the high returns while not taking into account the inflationary characteristic of this scheme. This will be realized in the long run.
But on the other end, it started a bull run that affected the market as a whole, even non-DeFi coins had great gains.

This has always been clear from the beginning,,, that Defi has never been made to be long term and sustainable. Every thing about it was about boom and hype, even from the earliest ones. But people know this. And they knew this since ICO days!

Today Bitcoin is trading at 12000+ and majority of DeFi projects only brings 10% recovery, this is sadden and I have no choice but to accept what OP is saying, I think it's over for DeFi and only very few popular DeFi projects are still doing fine, it's better to invest in other strong projects that are old already, like BNB or ETH

This was just a replication of what has happened in the past when ICOs where actually used to extort potential investors. The errand of defi's projects where actually created for the vulnerables in whom never experienced the past during the ICO days. Some of my argument when this projects went sporadic was that, defi projects are purely for extortion from well known scammers around the ecosystem and that's what we have seen.

A lot of articles has been released on this Defi project, analyst say 99% of these projects are scam. I was wondering like Defi will be the future of crypto but thank God now I came to know it's a real danger for investment.

The frenzy on how to make profit by everyone made DeFi became crazy and foolish. The quick rich developers used that as opportunity to cart away with thousands of Usdt by bringing illogical projects to investors. It was during that period we began to see projects with a page website and A4 lite paper, anonymous team and little supply of token. The road maps were the funny part with zero magnitude and direction. As time goes on, we will be able to identify chaffs from the real ones, all DeFi projects are down as the hype is almost over, it's only NFTs tokens are enjoining the table for now.

The APY was one of the major factors that lure most of investors into DeFi. In a situation where you can stake your tokens with a guarantee of 200% APY will not bring fear.

For example : Token A offer an APY of 400%, you bought public sale at $0.1/token A
The token was stake as soon as tradiing start and price pushed to $1, after a year the price came back to $0.2 which has loss - 80% from all time high (ATH ), once you unstake token A, you will be having 400% of token at 2x.
This is why some investors aren't really bother about the price.

DeFi isn't dead, I believe some will survive based on their fundamental growth and team.

Sooner or later Defi hypes are foreseen to end but I dont see that happening this year and even if it those happen to invest in a crypto project with real world product usage is not advisable to me because most crypto investors and enthusiast are somehow not interested in that which the reason a crypto marketplace that needed fund barely get support from the community.

LOL, they really don't have any idea what's going right now, and they bitch around because they have seen losses on their portfolio and then it started to collapses. So for those who are smart, then they goes back to Bitcoin right now.

I don't think it's a trap, if this is, this will be short term though, it's hard to short Bitcoin when it is on a bull run already and you might get REKT running this.

But I believe users are now smarter than before. If you will look at the scam accusations board in this forum, you will see that a lot of them are Defis with various issues such as the chronic plagiarism issue, fake team members, obvious ponzi scheme and others. I hope users will not just jump blindly on these projects as most of them have no real use case. Just trying to rekt naive buyers.
