If I have a backup copy of the Android Litecoin wallet and I don't remember the unlock password, is there a way to take out the hash and try crack it?
I learned how to use Hashcat and I already created a wordlist with my possible password variations but how to extract the hash?
The format is Litecoin-Wallet-Keys-XXXX-XX-XX

not sure if backup words are enough without password.
better you install wallet on another mobile, import your words and see how things will go.

Encryption passwords will not stop your from importing those wallet to new wallet since you mentioned that you got the backup not sure you are talking about the seeds or the file itself.I don't think cracking is really possible to do so unless it is a weaker one that is why we are having passwords for security reasons.

The way I understand it, Bitcoin shares similarities with Litecoin, and with that said, we haven't heard anyone brute force a bitcoin with just the hash and unlock it, so I would say that it's not possible, well you can try and see how it goes, good luck!!!
