Sometimes expectation are not really meant to happen like the situation of altcoins. We thought bitcoin can influence the price of alts to increase as well but that is not the case at this time.

For last 2days bitcoin is continuing it's uptrend run. It's close to 12000$ now. But why all the alts are going down? Especially the top alt coins which had a good price before the dump.
For example BnB was 31$ when btc was 11300$ and ETH was on 380$ when BTC was 11400+$ . Now BnB at 28.7$ and ETH at 370$. Any reason for the dump?

but maybe not for long, because this is only a corrections and in the near time crypto marketcap will grow higher and push the price of bitcoin and other good altcoins to grow

There's no specific time on when it would happen and theres no assurance it if would really happen again.If you've been here on this market for a while
then you do able to see those situations where bitcoin and altcoin price doesnt really mean that they will really be having always that similar pattern
when it comes to price movement.Sometimes they do correlate and go together but most of the time they arent or simply one is rising and the rest is dumping.
To think that market switch up do happen which is a no brainer where investors do transfer out their funds to bitcoin and leaving alts behind and the time
for profit taking then there's a time where money flow again on the alt market.

Those are necessary dump since Investors are playing with Bitcoin and taking their stakes on those coins but what happens couple of days after that?BNB and ETH pumps and gain almost 2 digits in percentage.

I wouldn't be so sure. In my opinion, it all depends on how quickly the Bitcoin price starts to rise. If it is a slow and steady growth, it is possible that altcoin prices will also follow the price of Bitcoin. However, if the BTC price starts to rise very quickly, I am sure that the alt prices will be dumped again and then we will have the opportunity to make shopping again

Bitcoin and altcoins had a different thing that people do not understand that didn't happen this time around that shocked others. What was the deal is the fact that when one coin worths 10 bucks that means it worth let's say 0.0001 bitcoin right? But when bitcoin started to worth more, that coin still worths 10 bucks but now it worth less bitcoin. That is how it used to be, bitcoin values changed but the dollar value was something more stable or at least more independent from bitcoin prices.

What really changed this time around was the fact that altcoins didn't went down from bitcoin alone, it went down in dollar prices as well which usually doesn't happen all that much when bitcoin goes up, usually there is a slight change like 3-5% at most but nothing 10+ like we had recently.

truth is when btc pumps big chance it might crush other alts for simple fact that the money that makes pump possible actually flows from the alts. it's not a magic money that makes btc pump suddenly but instead some part of market cap from these alts and I think that's quite logical in this case.
The only way for the whole market to be pumped is when the flow of capital coming from outside the whole crypto market just like back when the whole crypto market is so overhyped in 2017

This is very normal because when bitcoin pump then altcoins market down, again when bitcoin goes to down then altcoins market as same down. But one short if bitcoin price make sometime stable then all altcoins going to pump. It was a goo luck 2017 when bitcoin price growing continue then all altcoins market was very well pumping.

That's because instead of withdrawing their alts and exchange it to btc because of fear missing out the train or afraid of the alts gettin dumped so hard the people back in 2017 invest into some alts directly from USD.

But, that's simply because people back then has no clue what kind of investment they are getting into and turns out to be a big flop. Nowadays, bitcoin and alts to me seems like mantaining some balance to each other.

I consider this normal, bitcoin is really easy to mess up the altcoin market when they go up and down altcoins are always dumped first. But that's great because there's time to buy some altcoins

at this time isnt normal alt being dumped everyone leaving the ship, many alt already hit new ATL and stil continue to downward, many ppl hoping btc stop at 16k base on fib

i didnt expect to much down when i bought a month ago, now almost -30% and continue down, lol, no panic here, give btc room to growth and alt recover later

I see this as a great discounted price and nothing more, people act like things will continue to go down forever but I do not believe that, I think it is going to be something a lot more different, it is going to be discounted price now and it is going to increase about 25% or even more in the near future, probably inside this November month.

So, if you have any money that you could spare for investing (do not use money you need) you may actually end up with not doing that bad very soon when the prices increase but be careful about being able to wait, it may not be too quick so you need to be careful. I really do not know what people could do with altcoins going down because there is no way we can stop it while sellers keep selling, but when that stops it will be our turn to increase it.

This is also very confusing for me, because usually when the price of BTC has a significant increase in price, of course it will also be followed by an increase in the price of other altcoins, but this year the fact is that only a few large alt coins have experienced a slight increase in price and even then is still in the level of price increases. A reasonable rate of between 10-30% and there is no surprising an increase in alt coin prices as was the case in 2017, when bitcoin and alt coins hit their highest prices.

altcoins are dumped for BTC. its always been what everyone wants to hold when the prices are going up. if anyone still hold and altcoin while BTC keeps rising, he must be rooting hard for that altcoin and probably even accumulating while it dips every day.

the altcoins i thought would go up all the way because its tech is superb but its also dumped hard. UNI bottomed at $1.90, that's a good price to buy. someone who bought at such price likely have bewn celebrating by now.

Its always like that so there was no reson on why the BTC pump and the altcoins also dump.
That was not new for us even do in the past year the bull run started there are time the BTC will pump and some altcoins be dump.
And Ill think in this year are always the same, So must better to buy more trusted altcoins than to watch them to dump or pump.

Or vice versa, some random altcoins start to pop up on Coingecko due to the abnormal trading volume. Maybe the traders dumped temporarily the altcoin portfolio and the smaller marketcap altcoins have lost the market balance in short term, the price has been crashed. Right after the stable BTC rates over $14500 the same people came back to buy their bag with cheaper price and bingo, double win! Traders with big bucks can change the market conditions for their favour but this will lead to a vicious circle if there is strong opposition. The market is not always predictable and manipulation doesn't work always.

I'm not surprise to see the market like that, when btc pump other coins are dumping. This is the cycle I observe in the market, price is volatile so we see it rise and decline. If the project is solid it will increase let's just wait and hold for the meantime. This is why it is important to search a solid project for us to avoid getting lose when the markets in red marks.
