I left a negative feedback on his profile.

It indeed seems likely that this account changed hands.

Especially the deals (trading BTC <-> Paypal and trying to selling software keys) after a long time of inactivity + password/email reset seem shady.

Since he has changed both his password and email recently after long time of inactivity, it seems the account has been changed hands. I will tag the account now, a neutral one although.
Edit- Changed my minds and gone with negative feedback.

I have checked through the posting history of the account and what OP says is surely more than enough to confirm that the account has changed hands. I have tagged and flagged the account with a newbie flag - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2401

OP, when investigating such cases, always remember to archive post history of such accounts especially the page that contains a post gap and where the account might have changed hands. Good enough someone has already done it for you  - https://archive.vn/V5zl2

I find the "evidence" inconclusive and am wondering why the three of you are so quick to give negative trust feedback (not to mention create a Flag) when there is no scam accusation.

  • What is the scam?
  • What is a "newbie flag" - (Archive)

Have any of you contacted the user and asked them to verify they are the owner via a signed message?  Why not?

Users who have woken up are likely to change their password after a while of inactivity (especially if they have been away due to Covid etc).

If I'd been away for a while and came back mid covid pandemic I might be inclined to want to sell some stuff to get some cash together (especially if I hadn't been working for up to the last six months)  This thread, the negative trust feedback and the flag are ill thought out.

It looks like he has a second account Rodvay
that has the same contacts.
I think the charge of change of ownership is indeed true.

Pay only: BTC or Other Coin

Skype: live:.cid.adfdd1b546f47fc4
https://archive.st/4tl4

Skype: live:.cid.adfdd1b546f47fc4
https://archive.st/lby4

Exactly the same "product" is offered by this account     CloudMarketing

PRODUCT FEATURES & PRICE
==========================

Office 365 Enterprise E3 (1 Year/5 Users)

Features:

These product keys can be redeemed at office.com/setupkey.

You can create upto 5 sub-users (including admin) and each user gets access to Office apps including 5 TB OneDrive storage.

You can also add a domain to your account and create unlimited custom email addresses (eg. name@domain.com) which can be accessed through outlook.
Each user can activate Office apps in 5 devices, therefore you can activate upto 25 devices with 5 users.
PAYMENT METHODS AND TALK
==========================
BTC, ETH and Other Coins
Each price: 46$
Bulk buy have discount
Skype: live:.cid.d06ab7c96bfc6e4d
https://archive.st/s00y

And the account  Rodvay assures of the honesty of his product.

My trade went smoothly. 2 keys buying.

I am not a reference.
But I had no problem. I just wanted you to know.

Bump

Scammed recently, transferred to him $23 as a down payment, after receiving he blocked me on Skype and never replied back...
if you send me the O365 Keys i'll send you the rest of the amount and give my positive feedback...otherwise i'll insist that you have scammed me nothing else...
https://archive.st/lnf3

Although people complain that they were deceived.

In the end, I think all three accounts are scams.

He is using now his another account Rodvay to sell some stuff/probably scam https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5283725.0

edit: Since they are connected through skype ID would type 1 flag be appropriate for Rodvay aswell?

edit2: He created exchange thread aswell https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5283762.new#new

Flag type 1 created to avoid possible future scams https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2404

What scam has occurred?

Do we always need to wait until someone lose money?
After getting accused this member did not come here to defend himself, instead of it he created a new and similar exchange thread with his proven alt account. Due to many red flags mentioned about this user and the fact that he does not defend himself is enaugh to create type 1 flag in my opinion.

"Due largely to the factors mentioned in this topic, I believe that anyone dealing with XXX is at a high risk of losing money, and guests would be well-advised to avoid doing so. This determination is based on concrete red flags which any knowledgeable & reasonable forum user should agree with, and it is not based on the user's opinions."

There is nothing mentioned about scam or losing money in type 1 flag.

You're exactly right about this (except for the "losing money" portion which it does say even in your own quote of the flag verbiage), and by his question I can only conclude that Timelord doesn't understand how the flag system works. Vouching for oneself is inherently untrustworthy and both a Type 1 flag and red tag are warranted in this situation.

Keep up the good work.

I will suggest you to edit your main topic now and add all the details about his Alt accounts with proper description. Don't forget to include both flag link for support. It was first about changing of account ownership but now we got a lot of new things and topic should be updated with all new information.

Both flag supported by me and user profile has been tagged with red paint.

They are so stupid or lazy that they do not even bother to create new skype account.
It seems they are so desperate to an extent that they don't even think straight  Grin If not, they probably thought forum members here are not alert. I have been through a number of forums but this is one forum where members are so alert when it comes to scammers and suspicious accounts. In other forums members just ignore scams even when they are right under their noses.
