this is good news for the crypto world. Paypal is a big company that is aware of cryptocurrency technology so they are adopting it. This is the adoption of cryptocurrency that will enliven the crypto world in 2021.

Since March 2020 Paypal has started reviewing their efforts to build a new framework for the crypto asset market. Paypal studies and oversees the global development of crypto and blockchain assets. Paypal emphasized that its phaknya want to harmoniously approach a number of regulations without hindering innovation.

Paypal also collaborates with BitFlyer which is a large crypto exchange that has licenses in Japan, the US and Europe as well. on the BitFlyer market, users can deposit and buy crypto assets using paypal, and not only Bitflyer, other crypto exchanges such as Coinbase also work with paypal.

Now paypal is ready to step into the massive adoption of cryptocurrency.

the fear the centralized payment systems is starting to become palpable at this point. they can feel how their days are numbered and are going to become obsolete soon as they are replaced by the decentralized currency that doesn't need them anymore.

That is the thing, they are finally realizing they are fighting a losing battle against bitcoin and they will begin to adopt it for themselves, and while this will allow them to get bigger profits for a while how long it will take for people to realize that they do not need them and they can settle their payments on bitcoin directly, pay less fees and retain some sort of privacy on the process? Sorry but the crypto you "buy" in paypal remains in paypal. This is as useless as it gets... In fact, its a trap. So you think paypal is better than using your own wallet? I don't think so. And what good is a bitcoin that cannot be used, just sold again to them? This is so foggy, they can even "pretend" to acquire the coins while never doing so, or do fractional reserve practices.

Yes, I can agree on this one but this is where the 'not for all who wants to stay anonymous' paypal isn't forcing anyone to use their platform, what I can see is that they are trying to convince people who does not trust crypto before making them think that Paypal isn't going to let them down with their investment. I personally don't want to use paypal for this since I know another platform could do it better. However this is a real adoption that will trigger the mass!

Good news indeed, though we don't like the way paypal payment system has been in operation becasue of their illicit games played with their esteem customers. They are known to be fraudulent payment system but with huge numbers of the customers. Wow, that unexpected to me! I mean, PayPal was doing alright without cryptos, and I thought they didn't want to adopt them because it would bring additional necessary bureaucracy they'll have to deal with. I wonder what pushed them towards this decision. Did Square play its part by showing that it can be profitable? PayPal works in a limited way in my country, but I'm excited to see how this will be implemented and how friendly towards users will the conversion fees and policies be.

same expectations but its over , they change thier minds  .

paypal is not limited in my country but people here love to use paypal while im not because i have a bad history of usage on them before but if the partnership of crypto and paypal are going to be success , i will give them another chance .

 theres other payment platform that im not a fan before but i used them after they support crypto transfer on thier network . same thing goes with paypal in the future .

At first, I was thinking that the "buy BTC with paypal" scams will dry up here, but it looks like you can't even send the coins to another wallet? How are you supposed to make transactions if you can't send bitcoin to arbitrary addresses? I guess this stops bitcoin doublers from proliferating among Paypal users who otherwise know nothing about how crypto works, but that's about as beneficial as it gets.

We can't just ignore a huge news in crypto like this one, I mean few years ago a lot of us talking about the potential of cryptocurrencies to be adopted by these giant companies especially the money transfer/ online payment company, Paypal. I already anticipated this events to crypto, a real huge potential it holds but to be honest I think it was sped up by the pandemic, I maybe wrong but I feel it is due to the pandemic, what you guys think about it?

Paypal giving the users the freedom to invest in cryptocurrency does not mean that the people from United States will be able to invest in ICO. It is a closed chapter and the authorities will not allow any payment solutions to provide that opportunity. When it comes to the valuation i do not think it has anything to do with the current rally either.

IIRC, a few years ago there were discussions about PayPal accepting crypto and here we go. That discussion came into reality because it's been known that Paypal is one of the competitor of bitcoin or any cryptocurrency as a payment processor. But as a large corporation, they've realized the huge market that they are taking after adopting it. They cannot beat it and that is the reason why they just have to adopt and accept it. We will more of these good news for other big and reputable payment processors soon.

We have been hearing about PayPal using cryptocurrency/bitcoin for the longest time.  It at first seemed like something that would absolutely never happen.  The fact that PayPal FINALLY did actually add cyrpto shows you how big bitcoin has become. May be this is a news that is lacking the entire year and the market jumped over 6% with this single news is fascinating as the news of Paypal integrating bitcoin helped break the resistance we were waiting to break for a very long time, i am not sure and lets see how long this rally will last and the month end is coming and lets see how the options expiry will make any changes.

Wow, these are some great news, i think most of the crypto users have been waiting for this moment in the past years. And for a moment we think this will never happen, but is awesome to read they are doing it. I would like to understand how well they manage the charge back feature they have, we know bitcoin is only one way, so let's see whit what solution they come to us.
