The First Halving of PLEX

Halving is a reduction in the number of generated tokens for the creation of a new block by network participants exactly twice.

The deinflationary model of Bitcoin was taken as the basis for the PLEX token issue model. This means that the total maximum supply of tokens is limited, and halvings are provided.

The total maximum offer of PLEX tokens is 414,720,000. Their emission is divided into 4 stages and will last for 1,800 cycles (~ 5 years). When moving to a new stage of the issue, the PLEX token is halved.

On January 31, 2021 ~ at 20: 30 (UTC+3), the 120th cycle will occur in the MinePlex blockchain and the transition to the second stage of the issue of the PLEX token, and accordingly its halving, will take place.
The maximum block reward will decrease from 600 PLEX to 300.

The mathematical course of the PLEX token to the MINE token is calculated using the plexus complexity formula. It is based on one of the basic principles of economics: when demand increases and supply decreases, the market value increases.

PLEX tokens are distributed among the holders of the MINE tokens, and each MINE token released into circulation increases the demand for PLEX. Halving reduces this sentence. Thus, the PLEX token has a deinflationary nature, and its rate will grow over time.

Thanks to the use of the Liquid Proof-of-Stake consensus algorithm and the use of two native (base) tokens in the MinePlex blockchain, the PLEX token rate is known for 7 days ahead.

Already today, in Explorer MinePlex, you can see how the first halving of a PLEX token will affect its math course.

PLEX's market value also responded to the upcoming halving with a 16% increase.
