Blood on the streets as chaos hits Nigeria

* When the evil doers/wicked/unjust rules, the righteous suffers (Proverbs 29:2)

This is the quotation in the Christian holy bible that governs nigerian politics. Nigeria has become a nation in crisis as it's youth take to the street in masses while a few others have fallen to their desk, pick up our pens and notepads to relay to the world our pain and the situation in Nigeria. The Nigerian citizens has been and continue to be oppressed even up to this day and so we our out to cry that our government and the world might hear our voice of lamentation through peaceful demonstrations.
As I slowly made my way through the foggy and crowded streets of Nigerian protesters to a destination a rather remain anonymous (sorry I have to exclude that detail for privacy reasons, I'm sure you guys understand) and YES, I'm a Nigerian and a proud one at that, thank you! I listened to the news over the car's transistor radio and got emotional over the series of degenerative news that came off it's speakers of the many hardship an average Nigeria citizen has endured for so long that, it has become endermic or sown into our lifestyle like a tailors hook and thread does to a fabric. These are the activities in which myself, the middle class has been enduring, praying and hoping for a change and it only gets worst and worst. The media house never carried a news that expressed development, it only carried sky falling news, news of deaths and more deaths, of human brains, intestines, bloods and more littered on our roads, news of flood not followed with preparation resulting in internationally displaced persons, news of flooded farmlands and food scarcity,  increased price of market commodities, protests, striking bodies and more news of this nature.

The problem
Nigeria has become a nation of where politicians fraud the people and goes caught free, where it's citizens are deprived of basic amenities, where the armed forces are unsure of their duties and choose to what extent of capacity to go about dispensing them, with the Special Anti-Rubbery Squad acting in the capacity of a drug enforcement agency, cyber crime detectives, carry out executions before prosecution and they live the Rubbery crimes to the local vigilantees, where an armed force agent will say to a citizen 'i'll you and nothing will hapoen' over demanding for human right and more unjust practices within it's section of governance. Nigeria has become a nation where it's laws and systems are against the youths, where youths have limited participation in issue ms of governance, where the youths are always at the receiving end of all negative actions from political ambitious leaders and high authorities seeking power and promotion, where Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strikes against the government and still go about their duties behind their desk in their offices, receiving every salaries owed in the process while the students stay stock at home, where the voice of the Students Union Government (SUG) is taken from them less they revolt over unjust policies, where a youth is questioned for owning an iphone, laptop, a car or even brutalized for being fashionistic. Owning Bitcoin, Altcoins and wallet applications makes you a suspect of fraud and Cyber crimes.

The revolution
The youths have awaken, united with one voice and one goal to do that which our fore fathers didn't finish, to reform Nigeria through peaceful demonstrations with hope that our cries might be heard, our parents have seen our vision and supports our struggles for a better Nigeria for every Nigerian child.

We match and write to demonstrate power in unity, to show that the power resides with the people. They came to us using national podiums during electorial campaigns to seek our votes and approval, we cheer and put them in places of power without any form of violence, now we come seeking campaign promises and reform in Nigerian politics, say no to corruption, they show us the lead rather than hear our cries, they call us jobless youths , we ask them:

* Are our the celebrities who share our visions jobless too?
¶ Are our parents who supports our struggles jobless?
¶ Are there any available jobs provided by the government to empower at least half of it's youths?
¶ Are the youths really free to participate in political affairs?
¶ We have all the resources to carter for the needs of every citizen but yet, we are deep in depths to international bodies...
¶ Are their amenities provided by the government for smooth living and running of business?
¶ Do the country have enough resources to carter for itself? YES we do!

Instead of looking into these issues,  they continue to kill us still, they use us to test their night visions. They provoke us to giving them a reason to kill more of us, using our own youths in the armed forces to fight us and even some deformed protesters. It's been over two weeks of national peaceful demonstration and the presidency is yet to say a word on the chaos in the country.

They pay deaf ears and wait us out to get warned out, tired or all drop dead but, even now we continue to grow in number and in strength. We have endured enough of their oppression, unjust practices, brutality, killing before prosecution, corruption amongst it's political ranks, exploitation, threat to free use of the internet and social media and more crimes against the good citizens of Nigeria.
Even as we continue to seek, pray and hope for our voice to be heard for a better Nigeria, we do so in peace.

Long-live Youths and Long-live Nigeria

This is currently the scenario in Nigeria where they open fire at the protester without hesitation. one of the most brutal ways to stop those people from expressing their own opinion. what is going on? those people killed for stating their opinion and they've just murder them without thinking twice.

I do not think that title really fit the topic, because SARS kill innocent Nigerians even during the day and as well as dhring the night. Raping allegations, money extortion, unlawful detentions and many more are characteristics of Nigerian SARS, they are more than wicked than vampires that sucks blood and operating at anytime of the day, they are nothing than imposters wearing federal government's given uniform.

If you are looking good, they will arrest you with false allegations
If you are driving car, they will arrest you with false allegations
If you are working from home as a freelancer, you are a criminal to Nigerian SARS
If you use bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, then you are a criminal to Nigeria SARS
If you are using vpn on your phone, that means you are cyber criminal to them, not to talk of tor browsers
They always try their best making sure they collect money from someone, including the innocents.

Nigerian SARS are friends to real cyber criminals
People that are the real cyber criminas, they find ways to know this SARS, they become friends with them, SARS not threatening them because they are friends, and making life good for them. Cyber criminals do not fear SARS in Nigeria, it is EFCC that they are afraid of a little bit, and still they bribe some of them and mingling with them. Cyber criminals only bribe and they are set free and enjoying in the country while innocents are excited, unlawfully imprisoned or killed.

SARS are protecting the cyber criminals because of the bribery while making life miserable and tormenting for good and innocent citizens that are looking good.

SARS must end in Nigeria. Nigeria SARS has to be dissolved and forgotten in its entirety..

I'd say have to say that this is one of the better posts that I've seen regarding SARS from someone on here.

Have to agree with everything you've said. SARS is a cancer on Nigeria and has been miking the innocent people out for bribes. They enable criminals by allowing them to continue to do their thing if they just kick money to them. Plus ya know, the killing, rapes, which are all horrible and are a plague on their country.

SARS = a leech. Politicians allow it to happen because they're also getting kickbacks from the operatives. Someone has to rein in on that corruption.

If you use bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, then you are a criminal to Nigeria SARS
It's so bad that this agents of the so called special anti-robbery squad also have their own Bitcoin wallets, there have been numerous occasions when they stopped young men, went through their phones/devices and found btc wallets such as electrum or other types and forcefully transferred btc to their own wallets, it's that terrible here in Nigeria and the government have done nothing about this for so long, that's why the protests is as heated as it is now and heading to a revolution the way things are moving.

This criminals in police uniforms have done more harm than good to the country, the government is one of the corrupt in the entire world, the last thing the masses needs is police brutality to add to that, and that's why citizens are as bitter as they are at the moment, the protests started peacefully, but atm, things have turned violent and there's been so much killings already, if this movement will oust the government and bring about a better Nigeria for Nigerians, then it has yielded something unprecedented.

Two days ago the Nigeria president, Muhammadu Buhari, addressed the country on the recent happenings in the country during a 7pm broadcast and left out the Bloodletting at the Lekki Tollgate where the Nigeria army shot and killed several unarmed innocent protesters. It's a shame of a country, trying to suppress the complaints of the people in a democracy. Well, it's good a thing that the UN and other international observers are now concerned with that annihilation of protesters. Under the watch of Mr Buhari humans lives have become worthless as the level of killings and insecurity witnessed under his watch is seriously alarming.

To tell you how corrupted this section of the armed force is. They violate every law and make themselves the law and interpret them as they see fit. Imagine instead of you being arrested and taken to a station, your taken to the automatic teller machine (ATM) or given point or sale/purchase machine or even a BTC address to make payments and I ask myself, what were they preventing, is it the crime, or does extortion solves it?

This is made possible because, the politicians are more concerned about discussions and sharing money. That's a typical Nigerian politician for you, they don't play politics because of an idea which they believe in, they play politics based on what they stand to gain or archive. That's why we have a lot of Godfatherism. In contrast to America where politics is played based on an idea. Not like they don't have there flaws but then, you don't or barely see a Republican partisan decamps to the Democrats based on the difference in concept of ideas. On like Nigerian politicians that will decamp two parties in less than a month, so sad.

The Nigerian government and politicians has bitten much than they can chew and it's left for the youths to end their era of tyranny, corruption, negligence and oppression on an average Nigerian.
I watched the news and heard they've disbursed #25b from the youths reserve #75b for what purpose I'm yet to know but anything far from creating jobs won't be worth it. It would be just another way to show us to their corrupt ways of sharing and spending money while the country lies in debt.
It's time for the youths to seat on the presidency and let's see how far it goes.

Cheesy let not forget there are still good eggs among them, with the few bad eggs that caused this havoc on her citizens shouldn't be generalize IMO. There are good GALS among the formal disbanded SARS, those individuals actually are few which some are personally known to me becasue i once work with them. What i see was underfunded Police arm which primary duty is for the protection and safety of her citizen, they tend to carter for themselves and in doing this innocent citizens payed dearly.

It might interest you to know some hidden facts about serving police officers still engage into some evil. There salaries are nothing to write home about, those serving officers sometimes find it difficult to get their pay like other paramilitary because of their funding. The retirees in the police force are the worst hit bro, a retired CP (commissioner of Police)  after retirement find it difficult to live because of pension, the government of the past did some dastard act to these retirees, they diverted their retirements benefits to other section of the government in 2011/2012. Now, if the high rank officer after retirement find it hard to cater for their families, then, what do you think about the intention of the serving officers? they will definitely find other alternative of surviving, am not in support of their actions though.

The demobbed soldiers after the civil war are not left out, most of their cases are still pending with the PTAD while some can't find their way out of the darkness created by our government, these are individuals that served the country wholeheartedly but paid in bad coins, until the government release funds in their confer that belong to these retirees; believe me bro, things will still be negative after this reform. Remember this: those retirees children's are still those serving the country and they have seen what happened to their parents.

What i see was underfunded Police arm which primary duty is for the protection and safety of her citizen, they tend to carter for themselves and in doing this innocent citizens payed dearly.
Good eggs you say, good eggs, there is always going to be good eggs amongst any group of persons. You claim to know a few and for that you believe they are good! 😀... I believe every one has a bad side, a part of you that if let loose, it's going to change a lot on how people around you, see you. So, let me ask you this,

* Do you show that part of you to everyone?
* Do you follow the officers on patrol or raids?

If your answers to both of these questions are 'No', then I'll be left to believe, you don't know the person in question that you are talking about. You might eat and live with him or her but, your never sure of what he or she is capable of when in a tight spot and not in the sight of loved once. Even at that, I believe is common amongst the armed force especially during raids that when you see and don't talk, your seen to be a CULPRIT and charged as such. Either way it is, you've got to bail yourself out of custody after numerous beating hence, all the SARS operatives which you believe to be 'good eggs' are guilty of this one offense 'CULPRIT' of the evil within their ranks.

On this matter though not peculiar to SARS, I believe they are very much paid well compared to secondary school teachers. It's just not always going to be enough, depending on salaries or pay cheques. Your needs will always grow to equate that. Which ever it is, it doesn't justify them involving in crimes as laid against them as they should be the once preventing such crimes. Of what use is an armed force member, escorting a civilian suspected of a crime to the ATM or of what use is a force agent handling a Point of Sales machine.

The stations serves virtually no purpose except as a barack or place if residence and armory after terrorizing civilians. On the issue of pension, it's a general problem in Nigeria, I've seen it happen as I too have retirees from other fields around me but still, they've not involved themselves in crimes yet. This is a first time the Nigerian youths and some parents despite religional difference, come together, united and agree with one voice on a just course. To tell you what menace these operatives have cost the public.

If we go by your arguments here Becky666 it means that you are justifying the criminality of the sars officials because you believe they are owed salaries and pensions. You also said their salaries when paid is nothing to write home about. My dear, do you know that there are graduates in Nigeria who get paid less than what those secondary school sars officials get? There are many graduates who don't even have jobs or get paid at all. So those civil servants owed salaries for many months should also turn to crime and extort the public? Please, let us not justify what those criminal policemen do. They are bad. It is not true that there are a few bad ones among them. Majority of them is bad.

Nigeria has become a nation in crisis as it's youth take to the street in masses while a few others have fallen to their desk,

The youths are beginning to come for their right because the government don't care about the progress of those they will leave when they are no more. I think it was a positive protest and it is bringing all politicians to the reality of the possibility of being attacked. I follow in support that our fallen heroes should be named before the toll gate where their lives were cut shot by the guns of the military that have not being able to battle the terrorist in the Northern Nigeria, boko haram.
