Brad Garlinghouse of that he visited UK last month because he has plans to move their as US is really making it hard for them to exist on their backyard.

Quote
“What you see in the U.K. is a clear taxonomy, and the U.K.’s FCA took a leadership role in characterizing how we should think about these different assets and their use cases,” Garlinghouse said.

“The outcome of that was clarity that XRP is not a security and is used as a currency. With that clarity, it would be advantageous for Ripple to operate in the U.K.”

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/23/crypto-firm-ripple-considers-relocating-to-london-over-us-regulation.html

I don't think that it will make any difference though for Ripple investors, but it will be better if they can find home outside of the US if they think that they are somewhat being harassed and it's hard for them to continue their businesses there.

thank you so much for this article and from here I know that if ripple is the security coin.

It looks like the purpose of this relocation to avoid the regulations and some of its US investors who have been suing ripple as an unregistered security coin. Even if ripple will be moving its HQ to the SG and it will not make difference.

In fact, ripple can't prove if XRP being used as currency. It's sad to see the ripple investors were only getting the capital gain from its investment. This coin didn't even give dividend to the XRP holders when it has been classified as a security coin. Like SEC said if ripple is full of uncertainty.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

thank you so much for this article and from here I know that if ripple is the security coin.

Isn't it surprising though, we all thought that Ripple is not a security, but US regulators think different.

It looks like the purpose of this relocation to avoid the regulations and some of its US investors who have been suing ripple as an unregistered security coin. Even if ripple will be moving its HQ to the SG and it will not make difference.

Obviously, they don't want the US regulators hounding them because they can't focus on their job (whatever that was). So instead, they've contemplating on going out and moving their HQ somewhere wherein they can do and move freely and concentrate on their task.

As far as I know, they are heavily targeting money exchanges, or remittances, billion dollar industry that's why they have partnered with different companies. To take a piece of that pie. And the only difference is that they wouldn't look at their shoulders in they are in the US, and this will make their investors happy.

Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple had criticized US for their crypto regulatory laws and perception. And had threaten to move out if they don't change. It's not a long time so I guess they were already looking at alternative to move on. UK is surely a better option as crypto market is flourishing largely on Asia and Europe a London lies somewhat on the middle of everything.

If impacts from US. regulations and policies on the world are still big, soon the UK. and European nations will follow US' regulations on crypto. I believe that there will be a wave of crypto companies to Cyprus because that nation is very friendly with cryptocurrency.

The crypto companies might have to make their difficult decisions like gambling companies do. There are still companies operate in the US. and other nations. They accept rules, law regulations from their governments and won't move. Or they can also do as same as Binance: register different branch companies in different nations and each branch company obeys local law regulations.

Oh Ripple, the original abomination. When Bitcoin started becoming the first decentralized currencies that did not need banks to back it, Brad figured that he could be the one to tell banks to use their own form of cryptocurrency.

He did convince a few banks to become part of the "Ripple Network" in the early heady days of blockchain integration. Yet, most banks now have some sort of enterprise DLT based system of their own. Why would all of those just decide to use XRP instead for their settlements is difficult to understand. Does it even matter if he stays in the US or the UK?

Ripple is trying to establish itself as a money transfer for international transaction and remittance. And US is certainly a hurdle for that. Most of the crypto projects are moving their headquarters to a more free market and establish local office for individual opressive countries so that their entire market would not be affected by the repression of those governments. This is also needed to maintain financial transparency on the parent company.

Yes, I also believe this news will not change the confidence of Ripple's investors, if indeed Ripple decides to move to another country it will not affect anything, instead Ripple's price will rise because today's bitcoin position looks bullish,
but I am a little doubtful about the country that Ripple will choose, there are several countries that I think are suitable if Ripple moves there such as Singapore or the United Arab Emirates,
but who knows where Ripple will move, because it all depends on Brad Garlinghouse's judgment.

I think it is the right decision for Ripple to move out the company from the U.S. because the regulatory pressure from U.S. SEC is getting worst, for that matter, I think the US SEC has already highlighted its anti-crypto sentiments especially for those who do not agree with their decision, Since Brad Garlinghouse was criticizing the U.S. SEC actions thats why the company (Ripple) was targeted now, In that case, it is better to move out now and settled somewhere else that has crypto-friendly regulations.

They are already based in the US when they reached the number two spot, if they are going to move to a free country that will not restrict on what they implement they have a good chance to reach a new milestone and achievement, so it will do the company good if they move on to UK, I think they will have a spike in price once they move to UK or more free country.

It could spike the price because everything is based on news, but I doubt that they can reach number two spot again, it was dry and bearish when they hit the second spot but they didn't stay that long as ETH get back that position from them. If they move out of the US, then it's good for them and good for other crypto if they follow that Ripple as set. This is not the first time though, exchanges such as Binance move to Malta because of such regulations coming from China before.

This is the history?

If UK will be their new home, nothing will change that much if it's for the regulation. They'll just feel comfortable basing on UK now. But if it's for the development, I don't think that there will a lot of changes once they migrate there.

A good news for some or to those XRP holders but I don't really think that there's much in the news.

This is just a news not a big news that will pump the price Ripple I've checked the price after I saw this and nothing really change on the price and besides they have not made the decision it takes more big news to pump. , but why not Japan it's more open and strategic because Asia is where the action.

A shitcoin CEO threatens the world's most developed country? What's this, a joke?

Ripple's executives should be in jail already they are lucky they can still move out to some place else.

We'll see how long the UK can stand their shit.

This is the issue of projects and investors to the country. There is always restrictions from the country that they are living. Just like with US wherein there are restriction when it comes to investment in cryptocurrency. I believe that ripple did the right choice when it goes to a free market and cryptocurrency friendly country. I am happy to their development because I always use ripple in withdrawing my money in exchange to my designated wallet. I believe that this is a step for the future development of ripple.

If staying in the US hinders in their innovation and expansion and moving to UK will change that then they should move to UK, they have to make sure that they should come up with better products, services and extend them to the world to really capitalize the re-location.

Definitely, no difference between the Ripple Investors and HODLers, because it's just a place of operation unless the head of operations starts dumping *ahem*. I know that the UK is more open to cryptocurrency businesses because I have seen different companies establish and incorporate their business there.  I think it's an advantage for them to be there. If they have a person who is spearheading there, it's even easier. Let's see how it will turn out.

Wasn't he the same person who said XRP is more decentralized than BTC? Hehe. His being afraid of authorities coming after his company just tells you it isn't decentralized at all [not that you needed more proof].

He doesn't really believe he can hide from the SEC by moving to another country does he? How many investors are residing in US?

These kinds of move will reflect on the investors indirectly, if they are in the US and they are facing multiple regulations then it might impact on the price and if they move to greener pastures with less regulatory pressure it will help the company rather than the investors directly, tech companies have always followed this pattern especially in the cryptocurrency space, when China was implementing regulatory pressure mostly all of the companies moved to Hong Hong and Singapore and this freedom to move is the biggest advantage as the business runs on the internet.

it is good enough if they try to move to the UK company and coin Ripple can be grown and flexibility to be able to develop further and can create more interest and could be doing developments very rapidly and is able to create a new idea of   coin ripple can compete and is becoming more popular.
