MtGox it's sweedish for : making under the table deals to sell user information

I would think MT would be able to think a few steps ahead in the chess game to not do this....

I wouldn't be surprised if someone (government) has an identity that only exists on MtGox and waits to see it in the wild....

They would use that information to shut down MtGox...  I am sure MT knows this...

The excuse of a security breach only works so many times... before a pattern emerges__

So, it would be highly doubtful that what you suggest is going on.

As stated somewhere earlier on this Thread... This is just the TIP of the iceberg, get ready for some huge announcement within January.

As we said here to you already here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52846.msg636566#msg636566, a LOT is going to happen and show Mid January, so what you see here is, once again, the tip of the iceberg and the features that will be announced will really change a lot of things for Bitcoin.

Resurrecting this thread... so mid January has come and gone.  Any idea what these new features are and when will we actually be seeing them?

Oh, well you are right, we are finishing up some stuff, but since we disclosed this at CES, I can use update this thread too. We are working on many things some of them you have seen already and includes

1. Our transparency Program https://mtgox.com/press_release_20120201.html
2. Brick & Mortar / E-Commerce solutions. We are polishing a few things but we will launch pretty soon our full Merchant solutions with VERY competitive fees ;-).
3. More trading tools. A few things will come for BTC Traders.

Cheers

@ Mt.Gox Support

Why do you only offer an iPhone app for a jailbroken phone. Will the Apple Store not approve your app?

Exactly! Trading Bitcoin is apparently a NO-NO in Apple's world. Still there are some other ways that we are working on.

Mt Gox should design a website specifically for mobile devices. Google and Yahoo do this and it works great. If Mt Gox had this you'd just open the Safari browser on the iPhone and go to MtGox.com. The mobile site would also work great on Android devices and other mobile devices. But the biggest plus would be no approval from Apple would be needed.

You can't win if you don't play. But you can't play if you lose all your chips. First I found bitcoin (BTC). Then I found something better, Monero (XMR). See GetMonero.org

We are currently working on this... And HTML5 will help to bring many nice things!

Remember this?  I'm not sure if it was the first Goxxxing's but it was definitely one of the best.

Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.
