Very cool project. Congrats.

I will just a make a suggestion about mobile wallets.

Same applies to mobile wallets. I don't think less popular wallets Samsung wallet and cash app really deserves to be there (isn't cash app even a custodial wallet?)
1. I chose Coinkite products as Top Wallets for their pure bitcoin support, I love Coinkite
2. I included Ledger, Trezor and KeepKey as hardware wallets, but feedback would be appreciated
3. I chose Cash App and Samsung wallet for mobile apps, due to their audience size and easy on-ramp capability. In my mind, mobile wallets are meant for carrying small amounts, and either of these would work great for that... especially for noobs. Suggestions welcome here.

I don't think any of those mobile wallets are good options

You should include those ones:

https://samouraiwallet.com/
https://electrum.org/#download (Android version)
https://wallet.mycelium.com/

Samourai is a privacy focused bitcoin mobile wallet.
Electrum is a top community choice.
Mycelium is also a wallet recommended by community.

Samsung Wallet and Cash App are just unkown wallets. Nobody uses them. They are not reliable. You should not be recommending them imo.

Edit:
You could add Lightning Wallets: Electrum, Eclair(?)

Bookmarked! Merited your OP and keep it up!
Yes, I would like to see some Lightning network data there as well too. Also follow the suggestions other have given about mobile wallets: I personally wouldn't suggest neither Cash App nor Samsung wallet!

... adding Layer2 like Liquid and Lightning Network stats would also be good to have.

I didn't check if you have information about Bitcoin ATMs and world map with locations, but it would be interesting for some people (map and list of all known BTC ATM machines)

Great idea on the Bitcoin ATMs... making a note for the next update. I know a few map sites I can at least link to as a Resource until I can build a proper database.

I've already started building data tables for Liquid and Lightning stats and they are going to be included in a data module called "Layer 2 Technologies" in a near-future update.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you for this feedback. I appreciate it.

So, I am going to add all these wallets... thanks for the suggestions... but let's discuss Cash App and Samsung Wallet, please. From the noob point of view... aren't these better options for onboarding than any of the more technical wallets? I know a few folks who have gotten off zero with either of these... they will either have Samsung Wallet already preinstalled on their Galaxy phone, and/or they can easily stack sats on Cash App. (Twitter has been pushing Cash App's Bitcoin hard over the last year, I think more people are getting used to it. Dunno.)

Thoughts welcome! Thank you.

Thank you, I will!   Cheesy

I will be adding Layer 2 Technologies data module soon... Stay tuned! I'll be announcing all updates regularly on Twitter at @LiveBitcoinData https://twitter.com/LiveBitcoinData.

For the mobile wallets... I want only the best wallets... but would you kindly review my recent question about Samsung Wallet and Cash App (scroll up a little)? I'm happy to remove them if that's what we want, but my reasons were around on-boarding. Your thoughts would be valued here!

Every best wallet we can suggest would always be the one we like the most: so if you ask many people here you will receive several different opinions.
If you want to base your judgement on trust and how the wallet is developed I suggest you visit  https://walletscrutiny.com/ in order to find a very good explanation on why some wallets are better (and more trusted).
So, avoid suggesting closed source wallets in the first place, and go for the ones which are open source and older: so I would say Green Bitcoin Wallet and Mycelium.
If I was you I would put wallets in a completely new page, but I guess that's not the point of your page  Smiley

All good stuff. I like the open source bit the best. So, I'll make some good changes based on this feedback. You're right, wallets aren't the focus, but I do want to have a good list for that particular data module.

Thank you! Keep 'em coming!   Cheesy

Initially, I didn't want to respond to this but your succeeding sarcastic comment [that was deleted for not obeying the rules] caught my attention Wink

  • IIRC, all of those data modules were already there when you first launched in here. Am I missing something [what's new with those modules]?

Update:

Thank you, I was wondering why it was deleted.

Why that was deleted, I am not sure.

Thank you, I was wondering why it was deleted. I guess it was misunderstood... the deleted post was just me saying "Thanks" to the group for all the feedback. It has been very helpful. I hadn't logged into BitcoinTalk for a few days, but then I did... and wanted to thank the group again. Why that was deleted, I am not sure.

The new modules are in the screenshot:

1. What is a Sat Worth?
2. Bitcoin Values
3. Available Bitcoins

They were not in the site before I shared them here.

Truly sorry if I offended anyone, that was never my intent. Just saying thanks to this forum for their help!

Thank you! Makes sense to reduce spam. I didn't mean to double up... just super-appreciative of all the help so far, and wanted to say thanks. It's been very helpful and several features were included in the website based on the direct feedback received here. Thanks, everyone!  Smiley

Keep using LiveBTCdata.com and sending those feature requests/bug reports!
