Pre-live is always more risky because you get an idea in play for example there is a match between favorites and underdogs and somehow the underdogs make the 1st goal then you can always bet on the 2nd goal to come from the favorites because they get aggressive and the chances are high that they will find the next goal. These are little things that sound weird but really they give better chances than you would find on pre-live markets.

Wagering or staking is all about getting the best odds and making sure to bet on the highest possible outcomes even if they pay less. I have often seen draw-no-bet markets and the game is at 80 mins gone and score is 2-0 now draw no bet is the best possible market for staking because the opposition might score 1 or even 2 goals but surely not 3 goals without conceding one.

I'm a pre-match kind of person. I think this allows to weigh in various things and make a reasonable decision. Betting while the game is ongoing means making fast, possibly very emotional decisions. This stresses me out, so I don't do it. But if someone can be calm and make an informed and reasonable decision in the middle of the game, the risk can decrease because in the game it gets more obvious how the teams are today. Then again, something unexpected can always happen, so I'm not sure if it's much of a use to take into account what's happening now.

favorite as in your favorite team ? you know how your favorite team play and there is no need for you to watch and observed the actual live game before you bet but you can decide as early as possible if your favorite team has a chance to thier opponents or not .

best odds means higher payout ? they are  risky but more rewarding than those smaller odds but high chance of winning . betting isnt about how small or high your odds but it depends on you or on the gambler if what play he likes .  you can wagger fast on higher odds and you can win bigger profits on the same time than small odds but you may want to consider the risk that youl be getting

I think both have a risk and I prefer both sometimes I do in-play and sometimes pre-match. But since I have some work and not be able to watch the live game I mostly bet on pre-match but whenever I have time to watch live games I do an in-play betting.

I prefer in-game staking though, at least you can see the match and probably get the feel of what going to happened, either the favourite is really doing good or the underdogs will have a chance and make the odds very attractive.

I have experienced this during the Miami series, I remember a game wherein I put a stake pre-match and then continue to beat on the Miami even though the Boston takes the lead, the odds grew like 3.xx something for Miami after that, so I take it and Miami regain the lead and won in the game, very fun and exciting to hit a good odds and very satisfying. 

The kind of satisfactions where gamblers always wanted to feel, keep pushing for your favorite team even they seems to lose the game and turned things favorable to you.

Most of the time after betting with pre-match I follow it up during the live games, checking what's the take of my bet and try to add some if I saw some interesting events.

Either to bet with something that can let me recover my possible loss or add some once my

I actually placing bets on pre-match however if there's a chance that I could watch live the game I would be placing it in an in-play match since I can see and create decision based on the team's performance live since even the best team have some bad days and through it I can make a good bet. I've already tested that multiple times and I can say that it's a good strategy for me.

Generally, I always prefer pre-match betting as I'm more comfortable doing it. The only reason why I can't do live bets most of the time is because of my unavailability to watch live games. But if ever there's a chance and for let's say, the said match catch my interest, then I will do live betting.

The risk is just the same since after all, your winning chance depends on how well you analyzed the game.

I absolutely agree that one should only gamble or bet with what one can afford to lose.  What I do not agree with is taking betting for fun. Many gamblers, myself inclusive, do not gamble just for the fun of it because we're hoping to make winnings and get something of it and it's because of that we do not just make guesses when we bet but calculated attempts at winning.
To answer your question, it's just a matter of strategy that works best for one. Personally, I prefer pre-match staking. I do this to avoid the tension that comes with watching a live match when one makes an in-play bet. What I do is simply make a calculated prediction, place a bet and wait for the result.

As long as there are differences in beliefs and opinions with who can win and who the stronger team is, there would be two opposite gamblers that would be willing to bet against something. That's why a gambling company is profitable. Additionally, with the house edge, it's an advantage.

I feel more emotional with in-play staking, so I prefer pre-match. It would depend on the odds that I would have. I think it's riskier with in-play because you are more closely watching the match and it would hurt more. Lol.

The odds are a big factor in sports betting and there are gamblers that would use the odds as a deciding factor like for example they'll make a bet just because they find a lot of value in that market.

My experience in staking is very limited. I think pre match staking depends a lot on your track record and how good you are in general, while in-play staking depends more on your daily play. The thing about in-play staking is that you have more information available, then when staking before. I would say that the latter is more risky. But overall staking shouldn't make a big difference in the performance of a professional.

I think the pre-match betting is much risky since you might not know what will happen during fight for instance a player or two injured on the team this would really affect the game and probably the result of the game but if you bet on a in-play game there's a chance that you would be able to predict which team will win.

What I do commonly noticed is penalty, there are many times I lose because of the penalty played by the opponent of the team I chose, and if the opponent team is strong, there is a chance to later win the game within 80 minutes to 90 minutes. I too have seen in-play matches to be very risky. But also, I have tried betting pre-matches, losses often ensued also. Although, I am not addicted to betting, and using funds that I can afford to lose as been my best option.

The odds depends, it depends on the type you selected. For example, if you choose straight win for a strong team which is 1.3 odds, in 60 minutes of the game, if the strong team is already winning, the odd could be at 1.01 and will continue to be reducing. But, on the other hand, if you choose 1.1 odds for over 0.5, if no club has scored at 60 minutes, the odd could have increased to 2.9 and the more it will continuing increasing. And know that in-play matches are truly riskier.

once my father bet on soccer games and was checking the news channel to see the results, he doesn't usually bet, but this time was his birthday and for some reason he did it.

Of course, betting companies cant not go bankrupt. If so, there would be no place for you to put your money and have fun with your homies. The gambling industry is very strong right now and many founders have been recorded of holding more than 1 billion net worth

In my opinion, both of them have the same level of risk. It is up to you. Find a more suitable way to make your bet and remember to use your money wisely. Each person has their own edge and as long as you bet, you will find your own point where you are most confident. My suggestion: Money management can make a big impact on your portfolio. The concept of control your pocket is not really hard. Try to read some book or follow some professional sports gamblers. Surely they will give you some useful guide
