Hello everyone,
I would like to hear your opinion, is it worth purchasing Antminer E3-180MH ASIC Ethereum Miner. Will it be possible to use it for mining even after the Ethereum 2.0 release in early 2021??
Thanks

The E3 seems to have only 4GB Ram, so its out of business for ETH. If ETC isn't changing the Dagfile < 4GB this miner is useless.

Do you have ideas for mining equipment in the $600 area for ETH mining beside building a mining rig?

no, asics are done for, betting on btc mining is not good as well cause you can't compete x chinese farms, actually is getting hard for miners to compete x chinese farms, almost everything is built in there, reason why some people call cryptocoins the "chinese scam" ehhe

You can still hobby mine with a mid level CPU based gaming rig with a decent AMD card IF you have very cheap electricity. It may not earn much, but should be able to pay for the the next upgrade of your current card. You can't really do this with lend end cards as they don't have the memory speed/bandwidth to support ETH which now needs 4GB+. Something like a 5700 XT with $200 for the rest of the rig should work. You can get in some gaming in down time.

That's what I'm doing now. My Ethereum mining power works at 140 Hashrate on average. I am looking for a way to strengthen my mining power with a reasonable amount of money

Asic miner E3 is out of business, it's only reasonable if you have free power supply at your home but know that the income is coming from the electricity not the miner, it's even better if you spend money on graphics card like gtx1660ti or gtx1070

1660Ti might make sense because of its energy efficiency but there is no reason to get a 1070 with all the thrashing on that card the hashrate drops down to 25-27. If you insist on used nVidia, go with a 1070Ti which should only cost $20 more than the 1070 and will do about 20% more hash with the same energy usage. If you're not a tight on electricity budget nothing beats a used RX 470/480/570/580 as long as they're 8GB variant.

I think I'm going to purchase several used RX 480 with 8GB.
But this time the mining will be in a slightly different tactic. Instead of mining ETH I want to build a new rig and try to mine solo less familiar coins.

Its a good approach but however you will not make any more money that way. You will only save maybe 1% because you avoid pool fees, however you have variance to deal with. And if you mine a coin like ETC which still has a high difficulty it can still take a long time to find a block. Most POW coins these days generally are almost never listed on a large exchange like Binanace. Most of the new coins and projects are all ICOs and they use a ERC20 token. Gone are the days of instamining new coins and then selling for top dollar as soon as it hits an exchange.

ant miner e3 is outdated, even if you have free electricity it wont make any sense, you will be burning away too many electricity to make a dollar, if you have the money for this asic miner i suggest going for graphics card like gtx1660ti or super, these cards will last you for years and still bring you goo ROI since you are using free electricity and maybe someday these cards go obsolete you can still sell to PC gamers
