i would like to start mining and i read an article where they use a raspberry with an usb hub, with antminers, do you think its a good option?. im going to start with just 2 antminers u2(2Gh/s base), but i will buy more in the future. What do you recommend best for that, raspberry or micro itx motherboard? thanks

Raspberry Pi should do fine. As long as the hub is powered by itself. I know of people who run bigger machines on Ras Pi's. They are cheaper and really nice to have

Ok thanks. And which usb hub do you recommend me to buy? One with 10 usb ports will be fine to start with. A good one you can recommend me. thanks

Do not make the same mistake as I did! DONT USE USB 3.0 HUBS for Raspberry Pi... It doesn't accept USB 3.0 hubs at all. You can run BFGminer or Minepeon to make things easier...

The RPI is a great little standalone CPU that can take up to 49 USB miners (thats what I read at least). I use 4 of the the DLink 7-Port hubs connected to a Rosewill 10-Port hub running 20 Antminer U1's. I think the RPI is pretty neat since its customizable, and can be a standalone unit. I have mine in my room with a wifi dongle.

I don't think the U2's would be too different, but do take into consideration that the U2's have a thicker heat sink, so get a hub which can accommodate a handful of these to save you money on hubs.

Dunno where to buy cheap U1's since I bought mine on Amazon. I was late on getting into group buys, so I got them quite expensive... There's somebody starting a group buy for U2's if you are interested. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=528801.0
