I wrote you only a few basic news, but what will happen next?

Polkadot is not a coin but a whole lot crypto ecosystem and comes with multiple use cases and application a bit similar to ethereum network also one of the founders was previously involved with Ethereum so looks good to me. Personally i would wait a little before investing i want to see how their ecosystem performs and how big the userbase they can attract

It's certainly an ambitious project. Blockchain interoperability is something that many developers have been talking about in the past two years and Polkadot seems to be the closest thing. You cannot ignore also the support it's getting even after their funds raised through ICO in 2017 was exploited. 

What I don't like is how people are calling it as "Ethereum killer". I mean, how many projects have tried in the past? Remember EOS in the beginning and where it stands now?

So is it time? It depends on your risk appetite. It's still in the early stage but if you have money that you can afford to lose, it wouldn't be a bad idea to choose Polkadot. For me, I would wait for Polkadot 2.0 before looking at the project more seriously. I might be late to the party by that time but it's a safer bet (it's the same as waiting for a breakout in trading).

I don't know much about the project. Though I did some research on it few months ago but wasn't too pleased with the huge amount of coin/stake they required from network members to participate in their PoS. I wouldn't trust any cryptocurrency that make such big demands/requirements. It is a big risk and can easily lead to centralization.
 I strongly believe that consensus on shared or decentralized network/system should be based on merit and not how much stake you have.

If they're talking about development/support for the next five years, looks to me like the polkadot ecosystem may actually have something to offer the altcoins network, now and in the long run and it 'could' be a sign of a good investment; I don't know too much about polkadot cause I consider altcoins and their projects as only short term investments, but for those that don't, they could put a fraction of their funds here and see what happens with polkadot's development as time goes on.

People would always do that when there's a good project up in the altcoin network, I don't know if it's purposely to put more hype to the project cause they prolly have invested in it, but many times over, it turns out it wasn't actually an "ethereum killer". Polkadot should simply/solely focus on the development of their own ecosystem.

It's still very early to get Into Polkadot now, I have positive feeling about this project just because of the team and the project use case, this is for those who like holding coins for long term, this project will worth alot in near future but mind you this isn't an investment advice, I'm much more into taking my profits that holding for long time

I am quite confident about polkadot both as a project and investment, especially with the wide range of services and products that polka dot aims to launch is highly commendable, Im sure polkadot will be a longterm winner.

Although they have many new projects developing on Polkadot, it needs to be known and used more often by everyone. At least it should be as popular as Ethereum for its convenience, usage habits, and rich ecosystem.
The RUST programming language will not be well received by developers because of its confusing and difficult to control. Ethereum's SOLIDITY seems easier to implement smart contracts, so it's easier to engage developers.

In terms of investing in Polkadot, it is too early because this project has been overblown and difficult to increase in value. If Polkadot offers further discounts I will consider investing in it.

Yes for investors, but no for traders. Currently almost all alt has been dumped by investors/traders and focus or switch to BTC. Before you miss the train, DOT is very suitable to put in a bag. I believe in Polkadot (DOT), this project is very ambitious. Many people say that DOT will put ETH position sometime in the future, because basically ETH 2.0 is too much delay and can be said to be too late. this is just my opinion. But until now it remains "ETH The King Alt".

I don't know much about the project, but I remember that I bought that token at $3,90-$3,95 and the price now is $4,22. Nice to see the small profit that I can get, but I don't sell it right now, and I want to hold this token. I hope that the token is not back to the price I bought, but the price can increase. I don't know if that token can increase high or stay at the current price for a while, and I lack information about the token. I think I buy the token for testing how good the token at the market.

In the past, there have been many coins claiming to surpass Bitcoin or ETH, but up to now, there is no one that can do it. The majority of projects declare this to be just to advertise and entice investors.
Maybe in the future there will be a project that will actually replace ETH, but I don't think it is the Polkadot project.

Most times i think it is good giving a project enough time to develop before thinking of holding long term, this is because of the untrustworthy nature of most projects nowadays, just a random thought.
Although Polkadot is a good project with many projects onboard it already, but how far do we think it can get, considering the fact it got much attention this year. What about when the going gets tough, just like in the case of other blockchains that were claiming to be better than Ethereum, will upcoming or already existing projects still find it good for launching on?.
Nevertheless, considering its unique features which I find attractive and in my own opinion, i will keep watching it to know the right time to get involved, but not likely now because i need to see how committed the team are towards their goals from next year.

Gavin has a great impact on this project and yes, Polkadot was able to land on the top list and looking on its all time high compare to its price today, I also believe that this is a cheap token so grab this now because they keep on growing as expected. If you believe on Polkadot's future then now is the right time to buy more while its cheap and you also have to look at the market status right now, we are heading up and Polkadot might join the up trend soon.

I'm not sure how everyone will respond to this thread, because there is a lot of news about Polkadot and there is even an investor who gave a $20 million fund,
Polkadot has great potential like the DeFi Project in general because now DeFi is the newest cryptocurrency trend.
My advice for investors with limited funds who want to invest in Polkadot, invest at least 10% of the funds you have, the rest you can use for major coins like Ethereum which is clear and has high liquidity.

although a little late but now is the best time to invest in Polkadot. I think the project is the most ambitious project this year, they have a pretty fast progress in development. I'm sure this will be one of the best investment investments.

Polkadot still has a lot of hype behind the project especially because of Gavin Wood. Tons of developers moved their focus from ETH to the DOT ecosystem. DOT can really pull next ethereum but, it can't replace ethereum (IMO).

Right now, I am heavily invested in DOT.

The polkadot ecosystem which is a large one and too complex to understand (atleast for me ) is really interesting and they bare building it to be the foundation of web 3.0 and they have already established a large fund for donations for web 3.0
  But the price seems too high for my liking to invest before looking at how the ecosystem develops.

Polkadot is very promising but don't put your eggs in one basket, I believe that Polkadot will increase alot few years later but because nothing is certain in this life I advice you should invest in few other coins too, just make Polkadot a part of your portfolio, it's not bad if you have 5 good altcoins in your portfolio
