The adoption of Bitcoin at fast food stores has been commonplace in crypto-accepting countries. There may be many more stores that accept Bitcoin without our knowledge. Cryptocurrency adoption is a global trend as now global means of payment have included Bitcoin in their systems, most recently Paypal.

Probably soon with Paypal, which have the cryptos. Don't forget Cash App already accepting Bitcoin and Starbucks. In Cash App case it's pretty much Bitcoin and it already accepted at all fast food restaurant.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Paypal will offer its users just to buy, sell and trade bitcoin. Maybe in the future Paypal will have an option to transfer bitcoin, that is not "soon".

There is a weird way to pay directly with crypto. By using coinbase or binance cards (but first you need to preload it with crypto and funds will be exchanged by VISA exchange rate still) or with Revolut card (but you will face monthly amount spent limits).

Unfortunately my country prohibits using crypto as payment, even though I really want to spend my crypto at fast food restaurants.
Hopefully, with Paypal accepting cryptocurrency, it can make other companies accept cryptocurrency too. And finally cryptocurrency
can be accepted in all countries as a global currency. I am still optimistic that this will come true, although it will probably be 10 years
from now.

Several establishments already accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment to their products or services for quite some time already. And this is no longer surprising as time passes by Cryptocurrency masa adoption is being in the trend now. We can see some giant companies already joined the cryptocurrency adoption.

This feature is also not suitable for everyone. First of all, for me cryptocurrencies are an investment instruments, and I am not ready to pay for food with it. I would use USDT on Tron if I had it.
The increasing value of cryptocurrency makes me think to become a hodler as well and I rarely spend my bitcoin to buy things, and since food is very affordable I think using my fiat money is much more convenient to me.

We have our local restaurants bitcoin who accepted bitcoin as mode of payment but it didn’t last since not everyone are willing to spend their bitcoin and not everyone knows cryptocurrency, although this is a good adoption but I think we are still far from this.
Yeah, truth. It is a perfect feature for regular traders, that own a lot of stablecoins as a profit. And now they get a good opportunity to use it as traditional fiat money.

I'd like to have one here, but unfortunately no fast food establishment here is offering Cryptocurrency as payment, but Cryptocurrency is popular here in our place we can easily cash out our Cryptocurrency to fiat, so if I want to use my Coins to go to fast food and eat I'll just need to trade my coins to fiat.

As long as there are 3rd party apps that are easy to use and are registered in your country it will be easy to pay via cryptocurrency now, the 3rd party app will be used to convert it directly in the app wherein it is partnered with known restaurants. Soon there might be more companies that will do directly accepting crypto without using 3rd party as payment for their services, items or foods since its adoption is getting more and more during this Pandemic.

I live in a nation where crypto acceptance is sky high, we use crypto for anything if we want to and other party accepts it, legality wise there is no problem at all. Yet we still do not have too much places that accept bitcoin or any crypto easily, adoption is very slow compared to what it could be, considering the law allows you to accept crypto I would assume it would have been a lot more common but unfortunately it is not.

This is why I believe it is going to be a bit different to have a mass adoption one day, it is not about legality, it is not about price it is basically all about people not having the trust in crypto enough to accept it and cash out later, they are afraid of the volatile price situation of crypto and this is why I think it is not going to have any sort of mass adoption until it is more stable.

It's something that not very usual as aside from fiat there are many digital ways that's being offered from where am I right now, but it's also  good

if someone who owns this business offer this payment process, I would love to use my crypto while ordering my food, not that much for now but

eventually it will happen and this process will known and be embrace by other businesses.

I think you can find some restaurants that accept bitcoin here: http://spendbitcoins.com/places/c/fast-food/

...

It's true if I am a foreigner, coming to the States and have lunch at KFC. It helps me cut the currency exchange crap before my flight, in which I have to pay a lot of exchange fees for the banks. Crypto with no middlemen does help a lot with this. But other than that, to be honest, I don't find any difference between paying by crypto vs paying by cash or cards.

Thanks for sharing. I can see that there are a couple of fast food restaurants accepting Bitcoin in the US. But they're still the minority as most accept Fiat on top of crypto. I think what's limiting crypto's adoption in the mainstream world is price volatility. Fast food restaurants are going to need to change their prices on the menu each time Bitcoin goes up or down in price. Stablecoins are a better option, but most fast food restaurants are still skeptical about crypto.

A foreigner would greatly benefit from a restaurant accepting crypto as payment method. The benefits of crypto far surpasses those of Fiat. Anyone can spend crypto as they would with physical cash. The main selling point of crypto is anonymity (sort of) and low fees. It's no secret that some cryptocurrencies have even lower fees than credit card providers such as VISA and MasterCard. For instance, paying with XRP or XLM will prove to be extremely convenient to both the customer and the seller as transactions settle near-instant at a fraction of the cost (usually less than a penny). As far as Bitcoin goes, fast food restaurants can make use of the Lightning Network to enjoy all of the benefits of alternative cryptocurrencies (like the ones mentioned earlier).

Nonetheless, the only way to pay with Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency at major fast food chains would be through a crypto-oriented credit/debit card. I hope that someday most (if not all) fast food restaurants in the US and anywhere in the world begin accepting crypto directly as payment method. It would make our lives easier by "skipping" the middleman altogether. While a crypto-oriented credit/debit card works, you'd need to go through KYC to be able to obtain it. This greatly defeats the purpose of crypto, as you'd need to trust the middleman. By paying with crypto directly at any fast food restaurant, you'd be contributing to the decentralized economy. With how fast demand has been growing for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the market, I wouldn't be surprised that someday major fast food chains will announce their support to "decentralized money". When that time comes, crypto's adoption will grow like never before. Just my thoughts Grin

The growth in cryptocurrency adoption in many businesses is a good thing and in the future we will hear that more will follow too. I don't think the volatility of crypto price should be a barrier because they can still receive more crypto if the price goes down and less when the price goes up but on the condition that they price their good in dollar and accept bitcoin as a payment system and I don't think they need to change the price. every time it change.

When that time comes, crypto's adoption will grow like never before. Just my thoughts Grin

op mentioned a payment method that has the ability to convert your crypto to fiat after payment . this useful for those business owners that are not ready to recieve a crypto but wants to widen the support of thier payment and theres also crypto users that wants to use thier crypto for buying more than using a fiat . one thing that i remember , there is now paypal that said to support cryptos . as soon as paypal finally done the update , merchants can also use paypal if they dont or they arent familiar ln the suggested payment gateway that were suggested earlier

The logical opinion to promote the crypto as a payment method but governments are the main barriers on this journey. We should think about the legal part of the story, the rest will be done by the companies. Imho, the restaurants can use altcoins with faster transactions, and paying with a QR code will make both parties happy.

Unfortunately, there are no altcoins that want to step up, the scalability is going to be a big issue, the transaction should be fast and easy, unfortunately, as much as we want it to, Bitcoin cannot keep up with this purpose, the transaction time and the high fee will not serve the purpose, you don't want to be in a fast-food waiting for your transaction to confirm it's good for delivery but not for dine-in.

I hope that when the day comes, there will be such a payment for fast food chains in our country too but so far nothing like that has happened. But who knows, as crypto nowadays are being well-known, and who knows that one day the restaurants will also accept cryptocurrencies as payment so that even if you are cashless but have crypto method then absolutely you can pay the bill of what you ate.

It is actually getting implemented in some countries, I mean crypto has been already making some buzzes and started to be integrated in different platform to use as method for payment. I saw an article a coke vendor machine in australia has now started to accept bitcoin as payment and some major store outlets as well so being implemented in fast food in restaurant is not far fetch.

Your opinion is good, but let's agree you will only appreciate it having bitcoin for payment and not that it will be better to using credit card of cash.... Not everyone will prefer it.
We still await more acceptance of bitcoin in many physical markets and stores, I heard of plans to use Pinkoin to buy goods here in my country but I have not seen it.

I remembered that in the year 2017, a lot of businesses and even popular restaurants started to accept cryptocurrencies as payment but they eventually withdraw their proposals and the new system that they applied when the bear market appeared. If I'm part of those businesses that also accept cryptocurrencies as payment in that time,  I think I'll also the same because it can affect my business and the organization as a whole.

Most of the cryptocurrencies are rally too unstable, it can be use as a payment but it is really confusing to the system of the business that you are running because the price are continuing to move every minute. There is a high possibility that most of the businesses will accept cryptocurrencies as payment as long as its value is stable like the USDT.

As a crypto fan, this becomes an alternative option to using bitcoin, not just for investment. Fast food restaurants that already accept crypto as a payment method will certainly increase the mass adoption of crypto at a fast pace.
It will also provide traction as payments with cryptocurrencies become increasingly common if they can be used to make purchases in the real world.
I guess in my country if it doesn't go against government regulations there will probably be a lot of fast-food restaurants that accept payments using bitcoin.
