I am trying to optimize one of my RX 580 8 GB cards overclocking settings. I have numerous invalid shares with these settings in the hive OS:
Core clock: 1050
Core voltage: 900
Memory clock: 1950
What is the best way to go about optimizing a card for it overclocking when it's showing several invalid shares?
There are many reasons why a GPU might get invalid shares. Sometimes just turning off the rig and powering it back up can make the invalid shares go away. Another reason is if you overclocked too much and undervolted too much. If so reduce your core clock or increase your voltage.
Another reason can be the straps that you used. I used the 1500mhz straps into higher strap memory clocks and it gave errors on some GPUs, so I used other available custom straps for that GPU. There is a thread somewhere on here with custom straps for RX series cards for Hynix and Samsung memory. Other times there can be nothing you can do but keep getting invalid shares for certain GPUs. I had that happen before. As long as its a small ratio, I ignore them.
