A second wave of Covid19 infections is tragic for Europe. Undoubtedly, it is sad that this is happening now in this important quarter of the year as businesses begin to accumulate their profits. The most affected will be small and medium businesses and those that need the public to generate income such as Restaurants, Cinemas, Gymnasiums among others. Businesses will have to reinvent online commerce and home delivery. This is a very difficult time for the economy in Europe that will affect everyone.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Well, the world is not ready for this pandemic in the first place let alone a second one. This will definitely hurt them but if they had formulated an economic strategy to combat the impacts of pandemic then they will be good for awhile. It will be most impactful on small businesses definitely as most of them during the first wave was not prioritized during the relief operations which is for the good because there are more working class than business class.

Unfortunately, due to today's pandemic conditions, many countries are obliged to make such decisions without thinking about such problems and preventing economic problems. My personal opinion is that even though this lockdown process will seriously damage the economy, European countries will overcome this problem, but I think that no European country's economy can handle more than this. On the other hand, I think that the side effects of these shutdowns will continue for much longer and the possible consequences will cause more damage than the pandemic process. It is unquestionably clear that we are in the period of the most serious economic crisis in the last 20 years, let alone the pandemic process.

It has been almost 8 months since the pandemic spread outside China. The governments are doing their best, but the lack of knowledge about the virus is playing a negative role here. But I would put the blame on WHO. They behaved in a very uncompetitive manner in the beginning. The director general (Tedros) was changing his stance every now and then. I am quite surprised that this guy is not fired from his position yet.

As Second wave of COVID19 spread rapidly in Europe, Govt has imposed this very strict lockdown once again. Still we're far from getting the vaccine so that would reflect on our business. Millions of stores will be shut down, the middle class and below have been left nothing for themselves but only left economical crisis around the globe.

I'm not sure when, but eventually governments are going to realize that they can't keep shutting down the economy to fight off the spread of a virus that is nowhere as lethal as it's being made out to be.  I think Germany and France are shooting themselves in the foot by doing this, and who knows when this is going to end?  So to everyone living in those two countries, I wish you guys the best.  And maybe you ought to follow the Americans and take to the streets in protest.

The situation is really critical in almost all EU member states, and this is just the beginning of the second wave. What is trying to be saved with lockdowns is the health care system, which in almost all countries is falling apart and bursting in all directions, leaving even the most difficult patients without adequate help. No one would knowingly shoot themselves in the leg if there is other choice, and if you have to choose between head and foot, most will still choose the latter, no matter how painful it is.

I understand from what perspective you speak when you look at the situation in your own way, but Europeans are (in most cases) much more susceptible to deaths than Americans - although some protest in the streets and come to hospitals a few days later infected, which is a really amazing display of human stupidity.

I understand that all the actions of governments, which include strict quarantine measures, make it very difficult for doing business and for personal life, but nevertheless, no one has come up with other real and effective methods of combating coronavirus. According to the results of research by American scientists, Even those patients who acquired antibodies and recovered after a while from the disease, these antibodies have their own duration and disappear after a certain time. One way or another, the disease returns again to those who have already been ill.

I’m sure by now all must have heard that Germany and France have imposed second lockdown, and this news shall crush small business owners morale, and even effect those people who rely on jobs cause it’s quiet possible that they may never be employed again.

Furthermore it’s pertinent to note that this lockdown has come during the holiday season, and if it continues to stay in place then Europe’s economy could be severely impacted, and therefore in my personal opinion it could take year’s before European economy completely recovers.

What is the worst case scenarios that come in your mind when you read this news?.

This will surely Hurt their economy mate because imagine that the first lockdown that happen in each country brings disaster in their everyday living.
government are borrowing Money from other countries just to support their falling economy and their Hungry people, now there are second wave?
this only means one thing that Their fight against Virus are failure and their People are the one to blame here, not going along the rules.

They went for the first lockdown, so I believe they already knows the kind of impacts a lockdown can make. Maybe for them to go for another lockdown they might have put everything place and have better plans this time as to how to handle things. I just don’t know for them, if not that, then they are going suffer for it.

Just like my country, everybody is against a second lockdown. During the first lockdown people nearly died of hunger, especially those that are poor and doesn’t have any savings, which means they had to go out everyday to work and get money for feeding. And after the lockdown, the situation in the country is very bad now, plus people are doing protest, the cost for food and everything has increased heavily, but people’s salaries are not increasing, so how will you get through this if not by God’s grace?

Take to the streets in protest is not a wise move at this time. Even if you strongly disagree with government policy, going down the road to protest is the worst option. In the midst of a pandemic that is getting crazy, you only worsen the condition of the country. Not getting a solution to the problem that happened, it made it worse.

However, I am very confused by the conditions in Europe, why the virus spreads so fast considering the conditions in Europe are far above the average for developing countries, it is not that the people should have a higher awareness of health and the government is better prepared to handle a pandemic like this. But in fact, the spread of the virus in Europe is higher than in my developing country.

I have recently seen a pretty good graphic somewhere which actually touched upon this issue pretty nicely. This actually is like a double edged sword. There are two options that governments have:
Option 1: To let things the way they are let people suffer and maybe let 2-5% of them die and therefore safeguard the economy for once but after a year or so you would ponder upon the amount of population you have lost as it would easily be around 5% and the economy therefore would take a steep fall with such news.

Option 2: To impose lockdown and safeguard the people but hamper the economy badly as the whole circle of life stops. But this too would have larger repercussions as even if people remain inside once the economy has shattered many people with lose jobs and would then die due to stress/hunger/poverty etc.

So in both the cases, both people and economy are going to badly suffer so I think this is a matter which would have been deliberated upon by the governments before coming up with this course of action again.

We all know the negative impact of lockdowns because most people and huge companies wouldn't be able to move because of lots of restrictions. There will be a problem with supply and demand. However, since we have experienced it before, I'm sure that those countries will be able to handle the situation better than the first lockdown for they already know a few strategies to help their economy survive.

The big question is whether the lockdowns are having a great deal of impact or not on the spread of the pandemic. These lockdowns are very damaging for the economy. That's why the GDP went down by as much as 10-12% when they were in place. So if the governments are planning to re-impose the lockdowns, then they need to make sure that the damage caused to the economy remains minimal.

Ill think this will be affected the economy but there will be not to long and we hope so some businesses are still in going but this will be restricted. And yes more on that country be being employed again but Im sure they are ready for that coming. And in my opinion this will be a the best way for that country to doing second lockdown to be sure the people that would not be affected on what happens now.

Well I'm pretty sure they have good reason for the second lockdown however their economy might also suffer hard but its Europe I believe their government has good plans to recover their economic loss in short term. Lockdowns could really economically but some governments don't have any option, its just a matter of priority.

It is not all European countries that have economy that can renounce easily after the covid-19. The countries that are being affected by the second wave will be economically badly hit because while other countries are rebuilding their economy, the affected countries are still shut down,  so it is going to affect Europe more.

Yes it can survive even the third world countries did after having lockdowns too. We know that most country in the europe are rich so there is no problem with that if we will be talking about their economy. However, the goverment ca actually lift it if they wanted their economy to grow. Here in our place the government decide to open almost all of the business sectors except for education because we cannot survive if lockdown keep us not getting to get opportunity to earn and survive.

because of many consequences, it is probably not only in their place that it will happen if its trunk is not cut off, I mean, if we thinking about the root of this scenario it is historically proven that poverty seems to be like more severe today. Which is compared then to the previous event that has already taken place in the world. The second lockdown will be even more difficult once the government budget for people affected is constantly decreased rapidly, and mainly the closure of companies. Through the impact of hard-headed people who do not comply with protocols, basically, not only in Europe, I think it will take a long time to heal but I believe that we are all surviving with these tests.

The second lockdown will worsen the pace of the micro-economy, this action have been carefully considered by the government to reduce the health impact even death. In general, in some countries the lockdown is applied for two weeks or even more for countries that are badly affected by this pandemic With the arrangement and preparation for the lockdown, economic will be able to survive that long.. I think people health is more important than thinking about the economic impact and even the forecast of recovery.

What is the worst case scenarios that come in your mind when you read this news?.

considering what i experienced in the first lockdown?damn this will be so much harder for the country to have second because for sure there are many people that will not do it again and this will cause radical actions.

Its really insane being inside the house for week or more, doing nothing and having nothing because of no work no pay.

Did you see this:
"More than 700 km of traffic in Paris as second French lockdown begins" - source: https://www.euronews.com/2020/10/30/more-than-700-km-of-traffic-in-paris-as-second-french-lockdown-begins
As I see it's happening in some other big cities in Europe! People are running away from cities, lockdown in the apartment, without yard,  can really be crazy! Economy is on the break, after the first lock down and printing money like crazy I wonder what governments plan to do next!? To print more money maybe?! We all know how will that end, so people it's the time to getting into crypto more than ever before!
Well as I said before, it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better, like always!

France's second lockdown will restrict people to their homes until at least December 1.
No wonder why people flee the city and for them who don't have any other choice but to stay are not in doom, they still can go to work, school, and shopping for essential things. Well, the government and citizens have learned from the first lockdown what they have to do and don't. So, as long as they can reduce the number of people infected with the corona, it will be better for future economic growth rather than having to deal with many deaths due to this pandemic.
