It seems we are back to square one! Same issue is happening like we have faced back in 2017 and we are now in 2020. Mempool is clogged with thousands of unconfirmed transactions and whales are paying minuscule fees for transferring billions of dollars while we commoners are paying high feed even for a hundred dollar transaction.

I am wondering if LN can help here! Probably it's high time we give LN a try!

Before sending any these days, check the mempool activity and check the charts where the activity is bit lower.
Also, if possible increase a lil bit your fee, 60 sat/byte is actually ok now.
But if you have urgent tx, don't hesitate to increase a lil bit more, but if you can wait for days, smaller fee but not too small.

If you check at this very moment, the mempool size is bit higher, wait for it to go down a lil bit.

You arent the only one who do face up such delays and we are all having the same experience when it comes to delay transactions. Why? Network is clogged
specially if the price is rising up where lots of people do make out transaction on that specific time. In result? Higher fees which had been a common
problem where fees on that time will surely be that high and if you are willing to pay up much higher fees for faster confirmation then its your choice.
What to do? neither you do add up some fees or just simply wait up for the transaction to push through.

Reason? low fee.. Of course miners will prioritize to those who pay more and when its cleared up then your low fee transaction would be processed or broadcasted
thats if the network isnt really that on having lots of pending transactions.This is why its always better to stick to pay up the recommended amount for you
to avoid headaches.

40 sat/byte might take several weeks for now. Mempool was too crowded this days so the fees are getting higher. I made a Btc transfer yesterday and took me 2 hrs of waiting paying 245sats/ byte from within 5 blocks and that cost me around $2.
So, for anyone who's planning to transfer some funds and not in a hurry, better send it few days ahead of schedule to save some fees.
This has happened in 2017, and this has always been the main concern with Bitcoin.

Normally, Bitcoin transaction is experiencing some lagging in terms of transactions confirmation but if your transaction is still not confirmed for 2 weeks then tx fee is too low and what you need is a Bitcoin transaction fee estimator that will give you the perfect fee according to mempool status.
However, if you still have a pending transaction i will advise you post tx ID on this thread for help.

You're not in this along as majority are having similar experience as the bitcoin mempool is congested. Those that set their fees to be very high are getting their transaction confirm though so if you're in a rush you can do the same next time assuming the congestion is still at its peak. With your current transaction, you can bump the fees if your wallet provider has that option and it was set up before you executed the transaction.

But if none of those options are available then you just have to wait like you did the other time. Its a good thing though as this isn't your first experience of similar delay which means you already have the patience needed to wait for your transaction to confirmed.

My worries isn't of the confirmation but the fees required to get a fast confirmation as I spent 50% of the amount of my last transactions just on fees. For the time being, I'm just waiting on the congestion to subside.

OP did not give details and I don't know how OP set up fee for the stucked transaction. Mempool is better 3 latest days and if that stucked transaction was broadcasted with fee 10 or 12 sat/byte or higher, I think it can be confirmed in coming days.

If the fee was used is 1-2-5 sat/byte, I don't think it will be confirmed in this week.

I see OP is active today but did not reply here with more details. No detail, no one can help more.

Keep on waiting or Add the Fee so it will run faster because maybe you use the lowest Satoshi as fee and this is the reason why you still have pending transaction.
Specially these days that Blockchain is being congested again and the transaction fees are really increasing week after week.
I experienced this recently mate but since i am not in a hurry?i did wait and the funds comes out after 2 1/2 days lol.

The long confirmation of your Bitcoin transaction is not a problem for it is a common scenario most specially when there is a congestion within the system due to lots of pending transactions that are all waiting to be confirmed just like the transaction you have made. You do not have to worry anything about that as long as you do know and sure that the wallet address you have inputted is sure to be correct. Now, if you are not really in a hurry, better just to wait until such time that the transaction has been confirmed. It is just normal to experience quite a long period of time to be confirmed but it will be fully processed in time. If you wanted to easily and fastly confirm your transaction, better spend a little bit of top up to prioritize your transaction to be confirmed fast.

I'm also facing the same problem over here mate, but I guess it's because I used a low amount for the tx fee that's why it's not considered a priority, since the network is congested now only transactions with high tx fee will get faster confirmations than transactions with lower tx fee, but mate if you don't need your coins urgently then there's absolutely no cause for alarm you will still your bitcoin, just try to use increase the tx fee next time if you need it urgently.

It depends upon the fees you input, last week all the low fees transactions were stuck and you can either increase your fees and broadcast again or you need to have the patience to get it confirmed. At present the average fees is around 90 SAT/B and you can get it confirmed within a few hours depending on the situation.

Maybe it depends on the transaction fee you used, maybe it was very small and miners don’t want to confirm it yet. You know it’s transactions with bigger fees that goes first before the transactions with a small fee will be confirmed. Then if you’re unlucky using custom fee and have entered a ridiculous amount as transaction fee, then you might end up being sorry for yourself.

Last week I did my last transaction with Bitcoin and despite that the fees I paid (regular fees) was up to five dollars, I still had to wait for like three hours for it to get up to three confirmations.

The price just rose another 700$ in the last two days and wow, look at the mempool, it's nearly empty!
Is it possible that all those theories about the price and the mempool are not valid?

And yet just 2 days not weeks after your prediction we have fees with 10sat/b getting confirmed.

The difficulty has been adjusted by -16%, which means in the previous epoch (2 weeks time which tuned to be 16 days) we were mining slower blocks by a 16% pace, thus increasing the capacity of the network by as much as nearly a block an hour. Now we're back to the normal speed and even a bit faster 12 blocks ahead of the target (another 20k transaction).

So even with the recent increase in price the fees will tend to normalize once all the backlog is cleared and people who have postponed their transactions will clear their queues.

all btc users did face issues same as you . my last transact was last month when btc value isnt that high as today so i cant tell the difference if the transacting time and fee were got slower and higher . what wallet did you use and how much fee did you put ?  2 weeks of pending is already a long time of waiting and there must be an underlying problem with that  . i remember last year the value of btc arent high as today , thats why your transaction was process  but dont be confident this time . dont just sit  and wait but you better do something like searching for help online or on this forum
