A few days back I had received a mail related to UNISWAP airdrop which I know is a SCAM and therefore I thought of sharing it with you guys here.

  • The mail came from this address:
Code:
otateegeiwom@bol.com.br
  • The content in the mail
Quote
Good day to you, our dear participants of our Uniswap V2 developing cryptocurrency project!

Our AirDrop project was established to invite unique users to our crypto platform and we ensure you that it was proficient for us, and our new project has already attracted many serious investors!
Everyone who has conducted any deals on our platform at least one time has already received 400 UNI. But we decided to give other users the chance to receive 400 UNI from our Uniswap v2 crypto platform from AirDrop. Each of you can participate in the AirDrop Uniswap project!
Additionally, we want to inform you that the second round of AirDrop has been changed, now you have no need to make any transactions through our exchange system: you submit an application in the Uniswap registration form and then activate your address that was submitted in the registration form.
Uniswap, a totally decentralized protocol for the automated liquidity provision, has created its UNI governance token.Decentralized finance (DeFi) has gained interest in the crypto area with projects like Uniswap that attract both traders and agents.
To receive 400 tokens, you first must apply in the Google registration form and follow all described steps using the registration form. When you will complete all the abovementioned steps, you will get 400 UNI to your address.Uniswap cryptocurrency project registration form:
  • The link attached to the mail takes you to a google form

  • Scroll down the form and you will be asked to click on the airdrop link

  • This will take you to a clone website where you need to click on the claim button

As soon as you click on it a .rar file will download.

Therefore stay away from any UNISWAP airdrop as all of them are scam now.

Thats dangerous, the file could surely have some malware or any virus that could steal funds.

Few days back also another uniscam airdrop spotted. But ti be honest matr they do announced it whether they have one.

Kindly refer to this post of mine.
Check this out guys.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/uniswap-moves-closer-to-a-new-five-million-uni-airdrop

Its seems they are gonna do a second drop but this time with more wallets supported or interacted with uniswap. I read that previous receiver wont receive any this time.

They did have plan, I do hope that users stop believing mails and telegram airdrop. They can just simply follow the site and official uniswap links to avoid these fakes one.

I also received the email a few days ago and about the Uniswap airdrop which must be claimed, I am not surprised anymore if there is an incoming spam email like this and will be ignored and this is clear the work of the scamer who keeps sending different emails.

I really have the heart if Newbie who doesn't know anything about airdrops like this, I hope their level of awareness is high and not just fooled.

I also saw a catch from sujonali on 18 october and it was a different email to me that i received including this one too.

Uniswap is one of the most common DEXes that is trending now because of DeFi hype, scammers always have the thinking and always make use of mimicking common platform or events. I remember when binance was common, there are fake giveaways by scammers depicting themselves as binance coo, I remember when corona virus pandemic begin, scammers use the opportunity to scam. Also, now is DeFi hype and Uniswap become a common exchange this year, the popularity will make scammers to try to fake people like the message(s) is from Uniswap but just to scam in a fake giveaway. People need not to be greedy too, how can I pay certain amount of ethereum before I will be given the giveaway, I would have thought it to be scam because it is not a rear occurance anymore.

People need not to be greedy too,
This is an important point that all crypto user should remember to increase security. I receive such email quite often but have never been interested in any offer. These email are intentionally sent by scammer to seek profit by tricking other who are not careful. Ignore email and don't be interested in what email has to offer without checking for relevance directly on the original site. We can also block and report spam if we receive the same email more than once. Obviously this can be said to be a fraud attempt.

  • The mail came from this address:
Code:
otateegeiwom@bol.com.br
Every Inbox message that has been entered must pay attention to the sender address, there is no need to read or check the contents of the message to conclude a scam message or not, if the sender address and message title are irrelevant then 99% of the message content is a scammer then place the message in the spam box.

This isn't a new scam attempt, once there's a hype project was going on for sure scammers will always looking and find ways to scam naive people who are hoping to earn free money with an easy task and this airdrop is very often and prone to scammers to lure airdrop hunters to be their next victim.

Once you received an email like this, do some research before clicking the link.  It could be a trap that you might download the malware that easy for them to access your device used.

The comment above was right, don't need to be greedily looking for something free on the internet, because most of them aren't legit, and be always vigilant once there's a message in your spam box or much better ignore it.

A few months back, Uniswap gave out a few dollars worth of their token to those that traded with them willingly by sending emails.
Since Defi is on the hype, scammers are finding means to fake in airdrops and promotions relating to Uniswap.
Am pitying those that will fall for their trap at the end

Received several offers also via email saying about uni doing airdrop again. But when you look at the email's sender, you know that it is fake. I don't know how they got my email but scammers are really resourceful. Check the sender's address and compare it UNI's official mail or ask from their support group. I put it in trash right after I received it. I know, I'm not eligible for their airdrop as I haven't used uniswap even once yet.

Good try to scam there using the fake site which visible in above. It was a good catch also OP for there are many users here wishing to get free uni coins after it all went a good market price increase of that coin. Getting into hype scammers had done also their part by making advantage of this hype. Hopefully with this Post OP all members will be aware if this and for that they should avoid this kind of fake site and fake airdrops of uni coins.

The question is how that scammer get your email? I assume they never know who's the users of that exchange and who is not they send it randomly to crypto investors they collected from different scheme .

Where did he get that email maybe one of the airdrop you join before or the investment scheme we registered before.

my advice to members here is not to register anywhere using the main email if you are tempted to join in airdrop or any other website that ask for your email, use only disposable email to register.

Most of our emails are created in google accounts; that is why it is effortless for hackers and scammers to find emails who engage in cryptocurrency because our search queries are being saved in our account. Creating a dummy account and using an alternative device when searching on the web is the best strategy to avoid being detected and emailed by scammers.
