Good to see Ethereum getting limelight from Australian Government. Though it might just be a temporary solution till they build their own blockchain but it would certainly make people buy Ethereum and get introduced to it to transfer the token. Everytime there is a news about companies, countries or projects that like to adopt or use Ethereum the scalability issue keeps popping up this is something that they should address and fix, Ethereum is the top coin in the smart contract creation and many companies are going to use this, they should be ready for this the Ethereum 2.0 is promising but we have to see how they are going to address this.

I think the reserve bank of Australia is betting on the success of the CBDC coin with Ethereum 2.0. Even though it's not out yet, we can still hope it's not as bad as the current version. Ethereum's transaction cost and speed will hinder CBDC's success.

That is really a great news both for Ethereum and the entire crypto space, who would have thought years ago that Ethereum will get to this stage of being recognised by the government, thus meaning that, it is very important to build something that will be worthwhile as time goes by, unfortunately this is what most new projects developers are yet to understand. Also, for Ethereum to get this type of recognition it means the blockchain is worth it and I wonder what those platforms that claims to beat Ethereum will do with this news. Yes, but for now I don't see any significant changes in ETH prices in the market and the transaction gas fees on the ETH platform are still cheap, so there is no effect on that for now, although it is likely that there will also be.
