One can see in the personal twitter page of Tanvir where he has tweeted about many of these projects.

I suggest people to stay away from any of these projects. I know these people since 2017-2018. They started with an exchange project and then created another exchange and other coins. Now, they are taking the benefit of hyped DEFI.
Yes, even being in cryptos for a very long time, I fell for their early exchange project where I invested a lot..
Also I ask for help to report these guys to proper authority. Please provide suggestions and/or take actions to save innocent people that might fall in their trap. In this way, we can take away the bad players out of crypto.

@OP, if possible can you add also how much money they collected from users on these projects.
thats a long list actually. if you have some of their websites, what about the others? already down? just like the cheesemaker website, only gullible user will send money to that project.

you can also elaborate about their exchange, where you lost your investments. the site related to it and what it is now?

and if possible, if you can follow the scam accusations format, that would be great for readers here.

Thanks for the warning.
I've been playing with Pancakeswap and Pancake on BSC for about a month now, and while it does look scammy, it does pay out.
However, one negative things is that the APY and the price of CAKE coins have fallen by around 60%, so that could be the indirect type of scam they're trying to achieve

Answering to your questions one by one.
a. I don't know exactly how much did they collect in each project as they didn't have any transparent webpage where one could see it.
b.  Yes, old projects and most of the sites are dead. New defi projects do have their sites still running. They started with Omega (OPM) defi project and immediately created PDAI. Below are the details of this project.
+ Website: https://omgswap.in
+ DeFi: https://omgswap.com

+ Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/u/omegadefi
+ Bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271046.msg55057787#msg55057787
+ Bitcoingarden: https://bitcoingarden.org/forum/index.php?topic=93091.msg523203#msg523203
+ OPM Contract address: https://etherscan.io/token/0xF4c17Bc4979c1dc7b4CA50115358Dec58C67fD9d
+ pDAI Contract address: https://etherscan.io/token/0x9043d4d51C9d2e31e3F169de4551E416970c27Ef
c. The exchange project is not in existence anymore. The exchange was buggy where the developer ate btc and eth deposited by the users saying he lost the key, not recoverable etc. All websites, projects mainpage, exchange, wallet etc has been dead. Hence, it is important to focus on his running defi projects where he is still fooling others. It would be nice for people to join their telegrams and ask questions and then share their experience here.
d. I will follow the scam accusation format in my next new post.

The pattern is the same. The developer makes the project, collects some money and move on to the next one. The community comes to know about this, the price slowly goes down. In some cases, I have heard that the developer has disabled the staking, hence those staking or providing liquidity are then stuck. I suggest you to get out of this immediately and follow the pattern closely. You will notice. This kind of pattern can be seen to almost all defi he has created. The main question is why to make 10s of projects within 2 months time???

Based on current situation crypto investors are running after DeFi projects like they did few years earlier after ponzi projects. Actually scammers are taking advantage of this situation and launching multiple DeFi projects. We have seen that Defi projects price growth is quite surprising and its because of limited token supply. Through this they are creating a hyip and getting investors on their platform.

Personally i am observing some DeFi projects recent price history and i got nothing but sudden price bump or dump on some specifc exchanges. Craze of DeFi is going on and investors are following them to make good profits in a short time and i don't think its gonna continue for long.

I agree with you, it is not going to continue for long. The craze of defi is going on and hence, some scammy developers are feeding on this.

I am doing this mate. Riding some crazy defi hype even for low quality projects and I could say money can easily generated when hype pours in. Same goes with fud it can dragged price easily. In my experience and rate until now. I could say its going down now. People become tired of continouos rugged and scammed by these same people. Yeah they are just the same people creating and making new projects everyday. Better to play games on a medium risk projects at least to be more safe.

Thanks for sharing. I like to read critical comments that help to further understand the mechanics behind specific DeFi projects.

I currently try to further understand the economics behind pancakeswap.finance which you also listed as a potential scam project. However, harvesting pooled yields worked always fine for me so far.

What I find contradicting to the position that pancake is a scam is the fact, that BINANCE published a pancake academy page under https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/a-guide-to-pancakeswap. However, they also highlighted, that PancakeSwap has not been audited to date, so it clearly comes with high risks, that's for sure.

At the moment, I not tend to claim with confidence, that pancakeswap.finance is a fraud as harvesting pooled yields seems to work so far.

Any thoughts?

Best,
Marc

I never said that the pancakeswap is one of his project. As I haven't checked & followed pancakeswap that well, I am unable to make any comment on its legibility. I only know so far that pancake was his project. Looking for swap kind of project, he has made cheeseswapbsc in binance chain and right now, advertising that in twitter. He has grabbed money from a lot of people and I had myself invested around 200-250eth in his old projects as well as loaned him eth with 10% interest rates for every 15 days on his own terms. I haven't received my money yet & this has been the reason for me to keep following him and knowing what he is doing. He may have developed many projects that even I don't know.

Thanks for your insight. I've been kick/banned (thrown out) of the https://pancakeswap.finance/ telegram group today after I did a follow-up to a post of another user that raised a critical question.

This is an indication of that CAKE token thing might be fishy as you stated above.

I also find this an interesting explanation:

Thanks for sharing your experience over here. If you go and check other telegram groups, most of them are in the mode where one can't write anything. There are some recent ones running but they are that kind of place where one can't put their questions, raise concerns etc. Those telegrams are like master and slave telegrams. The newest project in line is CheeseswapBSc. Be aware, it is by the same developer. I asked him to confront me in twitter, challenging to prove his motives but what he did is banned me from following his projects as well as has been reporting my tweets where many of them are deleted by twitter. I hope I could get some people to help me in twitter to raise awareness against him & his projects!!

Hi there.

Great detective job out here.

I don't know who Tanvir Rahman is but the BSC community has indeed semi-debunked some of the swaps mentioned on Twitter in October.

https://twitter.com/LetMeApe/status/1316781172840595457
https://twitter.com/LetMeApe/status/1317037584359489536
https://twitter.com/LetMeApe/status/1317026640346611712

It's known that Hotdog, Kiwi, Cheese, OmegaDefi and Beers are all made by the same person/group of people.

I'm a volunteer community admin of PancakeSwap, and I want to assure you that the project has absolutely nothing to do with Tanvir or his people. The project has grew a lot since November, to the point of even having a partnership with Binance itself (https://www.binance.com/en/blog/421499824684901288/Binance-Launches-$240000-Reward-Pool-in-Collaboration-with-PancakeSwap--Stake-BNB-to-Earn-Free-Tokens).

If you have any questions you can always use our Telegram group or you can DM me directly at @s1merr on Telegram. (or even ask here, why not)

Hi there.
...
If you have any questions you can always use our Telegram group or you can DM me directly at @s1merr on Telegram. (or even ask here, why not)

Thanks for your answer. I do need to say, that I completely changed my mind about pancakeswap.finance after conducting intensive research.

It turned out yesterday, that I was scammed in the pancake telegram group by a fraudulent scammer. This scammer sneaked into the group as fake admin and redirected users to a phishing site. The scammer was banned by telegram meanwhile.

This has nothing to do with the credibility of the pancakeswap.finance platform. Their forum users are friendly and the platform on the relatively new Binance Smart Chain works amazing thanks to the great work of the chefs and their close collaboration with BINANCE. I also love their ridiculously low txn fees on the BSC chain.

Big thumbs up for pancakeswap.finance.

you guys came here to fud regarding $cake token? why is that, project is solid. DYOR

Agreed, my intention was not to FUD, I was scammed and concluded that the platform owners were involved in the scam.
It turned out to be wrong and the scammer was blocked meanwhile.

I certainly agree and the pancakeswap.finance platform is just amazing. I am daily compounding out substantial profits in a transparent and fast way that I've never seen in any other project before.

Cheers

Hi there.

Great detective job out here.

I don't know who Tanvir Rahman is but the BSC community has indeed semi-debunked some of the swaps mentioned on Twitter in October.

Thanks for your insight. I've been kick/banned (thrown out) of the https://pancakeswap.finance/ telegram group today after I did a follow-up to a post of another user that raised a critical question.

This is an indication of that CAKE token thing might be fishy as you stated above.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Please feel free to DM me on Telegram at @s1merr, I'll answer any question you might have and also look into your ban.

You can also use our Ban Appeal group: https://t.me/pancakebanappeal
I have never mentioned that it is pancakeswap. Even if you look above, I have said this clearly that I have no idea on pancakeswap. And thanks for showing up here and helping the one who was banned in your group.
