Log in, registering, and understanding this forum process

I have tried unsuccessfully for the last half hour to register, login, locate the Electrum feed, and to post because the loser(s) that run this forum are too busy jerking off to fix it.

This site, set up by nerds for nerds should be accessible and easy to understand, yet the instructions are from the 1990s. Your system constantly fails to recognize simple English.

It fails to post when you click post, instead sending it to draft.


By the way, Electrum needs a SUPPORT or contact email as this forum is virtually worthless until the bugs are fixed.

you can only act this entitled if you were paying money to use Electrum! it is a free and open source software that is provided as is, and it is the product of years of work by many contributors for free. if you don't like it then don't use it.

Why do you need instructions to register / login into a forum?

No, they don't.
Electrum is open source software. If you have problems, you might ask other user or the developer for help.
But you don't have any rights to get any help. Use it, or don't. We couldn't care less.

1. This forum is not affiliated with Electrum and it's neither Electrum support. If people help you, they do it because they want to and those people are just Electrum users.
2. Is making an account there so much different from Facebook or Twitter? I don't think so.
3. If you read what it shows on the buttons there's a good chance you post instead of preview.
4. Electrum is free software. You can use it or find another one. If you want something with support I suggest you use one you pay for.

By the way, I whitelisted you so you should be able to post easier but is the childishness necessary? The posting controls are there to try stop spam.

It will be the newbie posting restrictions. You have to wait 6 minutes before you post or whatever and logging in and attempting to post reset the counter. It can be annoying but it's probably something most of us have long forgotten about now.

Although the forum is probably considered a heavily modified simple machines implementation, there's only a few complex features (trust system, flag system, merit system) outside the scope of the official documentation by simple machines. I've found the simple machines documentation to be far superior to more modern software, due to the incredible amount of depth it goes into, and how much information is available due to other people likely experiencing your issue, and have already solved it. Something, you don't really get with newer technologies.

Just note that this forum software is running on a older version than the current release of Simple Machines (SMF 1.1.19).

After spending about 45 seconds laughing my ass off at OP's post, I started scrolling through posts that might help me understand the connection between bitcointalk and Electrum.  Me thinks there be none.

OP sounds like he's able to write English pretty well and doesn't come off as some slobbering retard newbie (which is the norm here), so I'm a bit puzzled as to why he's having so many problems with this site.  Yeah, it's a little outdated--but not effin' 1990s outdated, like a Geocities website.  Registering and logging in never caused me any stress, increased blood pressure, anger, or loss of hair.  Sorry to hear OP's struggling.

Stick with it, bro.  It's like a big nitrous oxide balloon here from time to time, with a spigot for everyone.

If you're actually having trouble in using the basic functionalities of Electrum, knowing that there are tons of guides and tutorials scattered in the web, then sorry but, but problem here might be you. Probably try doing research rather than having a tantrum on an online forum.

Is this because previously you referred to the https://bitcointalk.org/ link from Electrum's Twitter account which did not directly refer to the Electrum discussion link, so you are suggesting that Electrum provide support via a contact email?

Are you really that high you even looking in the Bitcoin forum even the ways of potting?

* If you're having problems registering and logging in make sure you have your email address always ready.
* There's a search button located on the top you probably haven't activated your third eye yet.
