https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/jnorzr/bitmex_okex_kucoin_scandals_highlight_the_need/

Blocknet is integrating their DEX into their multi currency wallet: Xlitewallet.com - However its still in beta, altough it looks promising.

Which DEX's do you guys use for trading, and do you use a VPN when doing so? I'd love to know!

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

Due to liquidity issues(because obviously most people use the 100% centralized ones instead), these so called "DEX"s aren't really the best choices when it comes to day trading. They're decent for mid-long term trading though.

There is no such thing as the best “DEX” in the market now because almost all of them have the same features like integrating Metamask and Ledger, high transaction or gas fees, slow processes, etc. Although that DEXs doesn’t have any central authority having the custody of our tokens, there are many weaknesses of it. It is why most of the crypto traders prefer CEXs nowadays.

Liquidity is probably the factor to define the "best" one. As you said, other features are the same but liquidity varies. Just like why Binance is better than tier 3 exchanges because it has bigger liquidity.

OP, as far as I know, there is no "DEX' for cross-chain trading, some projects are still trying to integrate atomic swap but it is far from finished. So P2P platform is probably your only choice.

with more than $185 billions trading volume based on coingecko data, uniswap be biggest decentralized exchange now and most traders agree with this. people still thinking trading volume be main parameter to be best exchanges, another parameter such as security level, insurance fund , feature provided etc were second factor.. if there is crosschain trading in DEX, it will be great solution for all investors and trader, they could save assets in own wallet without any worry wallet will hacked except due their fault.

Uniswap became something huge with the tech it provided, I don't know what their token will be like because it promised way too much and I doubt that would happen but we should be able to differentiate the token and the exchange itself.

I am sure many people got the hold of it and showed interest towards Uniswap all due to them offering hundreds of dollars in bounty prize, which I believe will not be as high as advertised, but thanks to that fake looking bounty, they managed to get a lot of interest towards a product that is unseen anywhere else.

With them allowing people to exchange and trade without worrying about centralized exchange getting hacked or anything, their exchange part will become huge. I only worry when the bounty rewards come in and look like it is few dollars at best, many people may complain and try to destroy its credibility.

There are so many reasons why people prefer centralized exchanges to DEXs but it will point out a couple of reasons

  • Liquidity as mentioned by most members is a top necessity in trading, however excellent the decentralized exchange may be, if there's no liquidity people will continue flocking centralized exchanges
  • Blockchain fees when trading. A perfect example was the recent spike in Ethereum fees. This makes it so hard for day traders who are the biggest contributors of liquidity. This is not the case with centralized exchanges since transaction when one is trading are internal and don't require direct blockchain transactions
  • Simplicity of Centralized exchanges over decentralized. Some people who are new into trading find it easier using a CEX rather than take time to learn and set up a trading account on a DEX like bisq

all decentralized exchanges are currently popular, because of the guaranteed level of security I think all DEXs are good for exchanges,
provided that the DEX project really works, currently my recommendations are Uniswap and Justswap.
Uniswap from the Ethereum platform, and Justswap from the Tron platform, oh yes, there is another one, is BinanceDEX

I rarely using dex to trade due to the very low liquidity but here's the list of my favorite dex

- vitex - this dex has been supporting various blockchains. this is my best choice because you can trade any asset like bitcoin ethereum and many more directly without convert it into the asset.
- 1inch dex
- my last dex should be curve as a competitor for uniswap.

I don't even need to use VPN to trade on thex. These dexs are safe.

I think when you are talking about DEX you do not really need to pick one, because it doesn't require you to deposit and withdraw and keep your money there, you literally have your erc20 wallet or whatever chain you use, it could be something else, just your wallet and with that you could use any exchange you want constantly without any problems at all.

For example, exchange your eth to anything you want at uniswap and while doing that on the other tab you have blocknet opened and whatever you changed your eth to you could change it from blocknet to some other exchange as well. It is really nothing that could keep you there. CEX is not like that, if you deposit your money to binance, your money is at binance and that is the end of the story, you will have to withdraw it to take your trading somewhere else, dex is not like that at all.

Every people have their best dex for trading. We can say that this dex is the best, but other people will not say the same. The best dex is something that can give you satisfaction in trading, and you can make a profit from the exchanges. So no matter what the dex you choose, as long as you can enjoy your time to trade, that will be the best exchange for you.

No need to use VPN in the first place when trading cryptos.

There are some good decentralized exchanges available and also peer to peer trading platforms which lacks interms of liquidity and it may change only if the regulation gets more stricter. You can ise Uniswap for trading eth tokens and others if there is any but better use reputed centralized exchanges to get better trading experience.

do you use a VPN when doing so? I'd love to know!

Unless the decentralized exchange that you're using is just pretending to be really decentralized you should not need to change your IP and that's only the case with some centralized exchanges if you are located in restricted countries.

What's the best DEX for trading out there?

I would suggest you to use Uniswap and it only supports ETH as you mentioned but that's the case for all of them and if you want to trade tokens based on other blockchains then you should use another DEX, for example for trading BNB blockchain based tokens you should use Binance DEX but most of the trading volume and liquidity is on Ethereum so I'd suggest you to stick to Uniswap.

The "Binance DEX" isn't a DEX, sorry to burst your bubble. All the nodes controlling this so called "DEX" is owned and controlled by Binance themselves. Binance tried to steal Blocknet's source code, when Blocknet applied for a Binance listing.

Blocknet is by far the "best" DEX when it comes to hard assets like BTC, LTC, etc. It's not based on ETH, doesn't rely on other blockchains..

Blocknet is much more than just a DEX though, but I wont go into more details than that, you guys gotta do your own research.

Problem with most of the decentralized exchanges is that they are almost the same, starting from high transaction fee or miners fee to network congestion and longer transaction time. Uniswap is cool but it is Ethereum base and any dev can just come up with any ethereum base project there, whether good or scam coin.  Uniswap is still the most popular and has liquidity too, though the transaction fee/miners fee is  discouraging. I think Tokenlon has liquidity too. For me to call any Dex the best it must meet up with; security, liquidity, low transaction fee, atomic cross chain swap, etc

These dexs are safe.
isn't all exchain support various blockchain mate, not only vitex moreover vitex has low daily trading if compare to another exchanges. honestly i am rare use vitex and prefer to use binance that have best services. 1nch dex have high trading fee, i am ever using 1nch but after see trading fee directly cancel my order and moved to other exchanges , maybe uniswap better moreover they have uni airdrop for user.

The best DEX exchange which I prefer ahead of others is IDEX.
IDEX is a non-custodial exchange that integrates with any custody answer and permits customers to exchange with each other with out giving up manage to a third party custodian. IDEX is particular as compared to different DEXs in that it employs a hybrid model, wherein the bulk of the change is operated with the aid of using IDEX, and the blockchain is simplest applied for custody and settlement. This permits them to remedy a number of the UX problems that exist in extra decentralized models, consisting of such things as front-strolling and on-chain order collisions. And no VPN use for trading.

I make use of DEX, but I don’t make use of VPN, the ones I have tried are really frustrating or maybe I have not seen the better ones, and who even needs them when I have nothing to hide? VPN might be good, but it all depends to the level you want to keep your privacy, that’s what will tell whether you are going to be needing them or not.
Decentralized exchanges I have used: I make use of Bisq, but the number of coins you can exchange is limited.

Another one I make use of, which I started using when I discovered Exodus wallet, is Shapshift, and there are lots of coins you can exchange there, seems to be unlimited. Uniswap is still new and it’s trending because of DeFi, so I haven’t tried it yet.

TOR browser afaik works when you login on DEX. Just like Bisq which you also need the Tor.  I sometimes don't use TOR when login into a DEX actually but after Uniswap becomes popular I just keep going there instead of the dex I use to go. There are more reasons to just use the Ubniswap than other exchanges even with the high fees for swapping tokens.
