Not really much and majority some of my friend that called me was Tech-Savvy, They was asking about How to mine Bitcoin or where the local exchange, The rest is just normal person and they was asking about how to get money from bitcoin, etc. Mostly they asking it around 2017 when bitcoin rally happens.
My friends and families are very curious how I am earning a lot and I told them I am investing here in bitcoin but they are not believing me because they say that I cannot earn with a scam. Other of my family managed to believe on me and now they are also earning but not too much because there are still some things that they don't know about bitcoin. Knowledge is really a big help for us because we can decide wisely for every thing we have to decide.

When people know about bitcoin, they will look the people who is before their in that field. So it happened same to you.Even it happened to me once, I was a new to this field.I had totally spread the knowledge about cryptocurrency to all.By knowing it as a trusted, they will start to inverse their money.Directly or Indirectly we are getting profit from it.

Yes, I do get such calls and messages, but I always tell them to wait for a while because it is clear they are calling because of the growth of Bitcoin at that moment (they hardly call during bear market) and once the market changes, I will be expecting their calls but I won't get much of it, why? Because it is now clear on what they want. However, only few later called back, I was careful enough to let them know what it entails, the risks, and all that, as well as my stand on whatever decision they make, that is, they have to be responsible for their involvement and/or investment in holding or trading Bitcoin.
Also, most of them think that, if they buy Bitcoin, that it will keep rising and once I sense such kind of calls, I try as much as possible to educate them, and then allow them make their own personal decisions.

No. They will call me at the absolute peak and ask for permission to buy whatever ludicrous shitcoin is up there. Then I will know it's time to sell. When I mention Bitcoin to them again a couple of years down the line when it's a load cheaper they will say 'nah, too expensive.'

Rinse and repeat. This is as dependable as the sun rising and setting.

This is why most people you know are poor and always will be.

Lol yeah trust me I understand this side of things too.  Obviously during 2017, the mega rise of alt/shitcoins, this was more prevalent than ever. I can't tell you how many times I've had people call/text asking me about cryptocurrency but despite my advice of only "investing" in bitcoin/monero/litecoin..they never listen and end up going after some shitcoin they heard some dude on YouTube say was going to be the next bitcoin.
Due to greed and lack of time on researching things up then thats most usually the result and when they get scammed or do end up on holding shitcoin then thats the time
they do pass out the blame neither into you where the ones who do talk about investing or to other people who had been suggesting the same thing. Its always depending
on our own research and if you do really rush up into things then mistakes will be most likely to commit up.When it comes to calls and text then i have received even not
into those bull run days but in the year of 2018 and 2019 where there are colleagues that do ask about it.

No messages yet, but a year ago my friend approached me about bitcoin since he was interested in mining then asked a few questions like the right time to sell and what exchanges i've been using for trading. The only advice I told him was to hold and accumulate since he was just starting and recommended Binance as they have a good limit for non KYC users. I remember that time he also suggested that we both should get a good mining gear but I wasn't interested and tried to explain to him that mining isn't that easy to maintain.

One of my friends did ask me about cryptocurrency, though she was asking that question when she noticed me open a bitcoin wallet in my phone, and she asked whether it’s Bitcoin and I said yes, then she proceeded to ask me other questions about Bitcoin, although the questions kept landing on about the price and when it will go up and whether she will get profit and all that, which is a normal question I get from people.

Their main focus is on whether they are going to make money, and some of them who have heard stories of the 2017 bull run will be asking whether that will repeat if they invest. I just ask them whether they have the level of patience as the early investors if they should invest, and the question is always a No.

I tell some of my friends before about bitcoin but none of them asking me back for it, how to invest Bitcoin and we make money from it? I believe they have no interest in cryptocurrency and probably they don't want to risk their money and time. Maybe they are not curious yet about this, could be sooner they will turn back to me asking HOW? Of course, I'm still willing to enlighten them, give them some ideas, and to give them.

It is just to say that Bitcoin is far known to everyone. Many were still not know about Bitcoin and so a reason that they are not asking it yet.

Something to ponder is that the price is at this level and sticking around with no media hype and few mentions. Even people here aren't that stoked. When it was here in 2017 it had doubled in a week or two and was a few short days away from its monstrous pop shot that had been building for over a year and your dead grandmother was making Bitconnect videos.

That's a reflection of how much bigger the staircase upwards has become.

I have not had that privilege, my family and friends circle still do not know Bitcoin. But I have in mind to teach my sister about Bitcoin so that she can take advantage and freedom to manage her finances.
Now that her economic situation is not the best. This year has been hard for everyone but thank God it has also allowed us to find opportunities. We are fortunate to know the technology of Bitcoin and Crypto and participate in the market because the digital world is booming.

I got a call from an unknown person and he invited me to invest using Bitcoin on a certain website. Of course I know this is a scam. I don't understand how he knows my phone number, is it from the websites I've visited? Looks like we need to be careful again in providing personal information.

Well that's a good thing.
But what are they doing with their knowledge about it?
Are they using it to earn profit? Or are they using it to make use of the benefits of this technology in general?
More people are being hooked up with this technology as years are passing by because its popularity is spreading. Some impressions are bad, and some are good, which lead to inquiries or questions about it. But to put it simple, they are asking if it will be beneficial to engage into it, and if it is, how will they benefit from such technology. Only a few of them will ask how "bad" it is.

Was just kind of curious if many of you also tend to get random calls or texts every time bitcoin goes on one of it's runs from family/friends/acquaintances asking you about bitcoin/how it works etc.  I'm also curious if you're getting more calls/texts this time around, or about the same as other rallies?  I found bitcoin back in 2013/14 so many of my friends and family members know this and I always get calls/texts during times like these, often conversations from people I've not spoken to in some time. This conversation I think can provide a unique insight on where things might be heading..

They could be curious about bitcoin and want to learn more about it from you.
OR
they just want to get closer with you, because they knew you are a bitcoin person, and the bitcoin price is really expensive now. So they hope you could be the savior for them lol.

I’ve never received any text/call from my friends regarding bitcoin. But my friends just started to trade his first bitcoin after he created an account on a local exchange 3 years ago. Since then, we have talked much about it in a group.

Also, I saw many friends of mine sometimes shares about crypto in their ig stories. I am happy that more crypto users in my circle.

^ I always have friends or even relatives that always ask what is bitcoin and how to earn money bitcoin, since they heard at me once they always asked me for a different question. And for me, I did not hesitate my self to answer those questions and let them understand how this bitcoin work and how they will use it. The most important thing is how we approach them, don't let them expect the profit of bitcoin that probably earn, instead let them first to understand that bitcoin is a good tool to use when it comes to online transactions.

That's good for you. You don't have to explain a lot of things from them but if you describe it as all, I don't believe it.
But what are they doing with their knowledge about it?
Are they using it to earn profit? Or are they using it to make use of the benefits of this technology in general?
Whatever they use it for, it's out of her league and our knowledge. Just like us, we have our own activities with our knowledge in bitcoin and we can keep it to ourselves or tell it to others, whichever is comfortable to you.

~
The latter one made me laugh. But yeah, that's possible. Maybe they're not really into bitcoin. They just want to experience the benefit from you. Grin

Well, as for me, I haven't received any calls or texts or whatsoever recently from a family or a friend. But when some of us gets to hang out during the past few months, bitcoin somehow joins the conversation even just for a little bit. My younger brother asked me about it months ago. He's bit of curious about it and showing interest of joining this forum. I just answer his queries that I can answer and refer to Google to those I don't know about.

Still hoping to hear from a friend that'll ask about bitcoin. But with a keen interest, though. Not just in it for a while.

We do have the same situation on my part I found bitcoin at the year of 2015 and started year 2016 Everytime I manage to participate on any bounty campaigns my friends always asking me about it and wether the campaign are still open for participants, so before participating in any campaigns I inform my friends about it coz I believe the more the merrier and It's make me more motivated to do the task.

I am from a place where some of my friends aren't aware of cryptocurrencies and their marketplace. So whenever i post something related to crypto on my social media my friends direct message me and ask me whether i invest in bitcoin.
They know the term 'Bitcoin' but they exactly don't know on how Bitcoin works , what exactly is the their marketplace or how to trade any coins
But when i just post profit images from trading on my social media they are really curious to know on how did i get the profit
What i'm exactly trying to say is that they don't want to learn about bitcoins or any other things related to crypto
Infact they just want to earn from crypto without even knowing what crypto is Cheesy

Yup, actually more of them are present during this time, I always have someone way back in college who would always message me if it's still good in this industry, specially when he already have heard that btc price is pumping. I don't mind it but sometimes I do see him as those people who didn't really appreciate the currency, he's just here whenever there's an opportunity. And I think he see me as someone who would give him information about the time where he can earn money here, I don't think he would actually be rich using this currency just like what he aspires to be if he's just here during the price bull run cause it's just too late...

In my country bitcoin popularity grows daily,  everyone keeps talking about Investing in bitcoin, tho it hasn't been adopted yet but there is no restrictions in using bitcoin in my country, and due to the fact that I participate in social media bounties therefore Making post and sharing of projects post in my account, this get to attract much people calling and texting me to know about bitcoin and how it works because there think I know much about bitcoin due to the things I post,  I keep educating them and also making them know the benefits of investing in bitcoin and the risk involved too.
