The market behavior of the ETH pairs don't look bullish, a single "hammer candle" can kill the temptation of buyers sooner or later. ADA and other alternative coins will be a strict competitor but I doubt replacing ETH will be possible for the next years. Trading the current market is not a good idea from a timing perspective, the price will make AbCd pattern which can create a few opportunities for investors who were late the first session of the bull party.

The update is not finish yet so I don't think ETH will touch that price before the year end and maybe a price of $500 - $700 which is a good price to end the year as well. ETH is a great platform and soon will touch that price especially if the ETH 2.0 was done already, this is the top altcoin so expect a more good news to come with ETH, buy more now while it is still cheap.

About that and have not we seen a bunch of new platforms introduced themselves as ethereum killers in 2018? What is happening right now is more than enough to prove that if it's an impossible thing to replace ethereum. The major coin will always dominate the market. I remember tron has placed at top 10 CMC and it was spreading so many shillers to say tron will replace ethereum but it's not happening right now.
Remember ethereum is still issuing more and more new ideas too and it's not stuck at the same place.

Nope not everyone is eyeing on Bitcoin alone because many of us has multiple Holdings and we are looking for those surely.
and also Ethereum gains too big community this past years and while others holding Bitcoin 1/4 of their Investments are in Ethereum as well so basically it is not only the BTC price they are willing to reach but at least 2 or more coins.

But defi has recently fades out maybe that will give some signficiant impact to the bullrun because eth 2.0 honestly is not as hype as I imagine it would be.

It's a matter of time for ethereum to reach $1,000, but unfortunately, I am not sure if ethereum price jumps to the high price in a short time unless bitcoin can increase so high that it will be possible for ethereum to increase high. Bitcoin itself is still trying to stay at $15,000 and we see now bitcoin price can be at $15,200, so that can give a chance for ethereum to increase more. Reaching 1000 dollars would not be possible before the year ends if eth 2.0 doesn't collect enough money. Obviously it could reach there if the money is there but it is looking like we barely got 10% of it covered nowadays and that was with the first hype coming in, I do not think we are going to see 10% incremental increases neither, we are going to see a lot less money coming in for deposit.

This is why I believe we are not going to find 500k+ ethereum until 2021 and it will take some time for us to reach there but the moment we get close enough we are going to also see 1k get close as well so there is nothing wrong about buying today in order to profit when it reaches 2.0 period. We are going to see major stuff, we just need to calm down about it and react without hype.

I already accumulate my ETH months ago and I’m happy to see the fruit of my sacrifices, I know ETH will pump more until the end of the year but of course you should expect more corrections along the road and if you do have long term price goal, you should wait for it because its possible to happen with ETH.

i think theres no correlation for eth price with btc in this case but that's true $1k is possibe maybe end of next year. $1k price itself is double the price and there's no stock or even index fund out there other than crypto that could reach double within very short amount of time. i think it's rather hard.

if you bought ethereum few months ago ,it mean you got profits now and continues holding ethereum till its price back to ATH will make you earn maximum profits. ethereum will hyped again when eth  ver2. released , many investors thinking this is the best reason to add more ethereum amount in our wallet.

The best time is yet to come for ethereum, but don't lose hope with it because altcoins and other btc alternatives will soon rise back. It's not always a downward trend for eth, and someday we will experience another brighter mornings. Meanwhile, eth also showed more developments of price after months of October that the price went down. Along with btc's progress I am confident that it will go along ways to come up a sustainable value that's beyond $1000 per eth.
