Is Tezos going to be next Ethereum?

TEZOS is very good and will continue to grow, in the future it will probably be the main alternative choice compared to other Ethereum competitors. but it can't be the next Ethereum.

this is just hearsay and everyone can say that even a lot of cases a few years ago like this, in fact it is just nonsense that has no proof and just trying to get new traders to enter their coins in such a way is the wrong way , it should be better to provide information on the progress of the project development and be able to provide solutions for many people, so it will make the price go up and investors will certainly enter by themselves.

It has the largest followers in the crypto space. All of them share the common goal to make it Top 20 crypto currency.

There are rumours in the market that Tezos network will be used for Digital Euro in the years to come. If that happens then its price will sky rocket without any doubt.
Its current price around $2 which is very attractive for investment to yield huge profits in future.

I don't consider Tezos has any comparison with Ethereum. Tezos is now a good coin i know and i use this wallet for holding few XTZ coins. XTZ coins is now cheaper rate and i believe its price will go up as its popularity is increasing but it is not the next Ethereum. Polkadot may compete with Ethereum after the next few years but we can't compare standing at present position. If DOT will take the place of Ethereum in the future, i won't surprise at all.

Transaction speed is not a key criteria anymore because we had tons of project like TRON/EOS/Algorand

well said. You are absolutely right it  is all about adaption. Tezos Marketing and IT team are making huge efforts to attract new contracts and its network  can  potentially be used to issue digital Euro. There is lot of talks about it in the market.

That's the point. Don't know why so many people compare ETH with other coins. They raise question and think that the coin will overcome ETH in crypto market. While ethereum is one of the oldest coin, have strong position among crypto user and still developing their platform. So these are baseless question. Though Tezos have good position in crypto market but it won't be able to take the position of ETH.

I believe that TEZOS is a potential coin, thats why I have some of it, but to be called the Next Ethereum, I think it is not needed TEZOS should be known as it is so that TEZOS can build its name as a unique and useful smart-contract platform too. IMO, each project that has unique characteristics and functions should be proud of what it is.

Ethereum also possesses those characteristics thats why it is one of the widely used smart-contract service providers if Ethereum did it. and then there is no reason why TEZOS cannot do it.
Those rumors can be considered a bonus if that rumors will be true, I'm sure TEZOS investors and holders will reap the benefit of that particular development so let's wait and see until that happens.

I don't think the Tezos will become the next ethereum actually there is no coin that can beat the ether for this moment.
Before the Tezos coin is qualified there is a lot of coins that who is more qualified to this rank but now I don't see any coin but I don't close the door that in the future they have coin will developed that can beat the potential of the ethereum and people will make money bbut now just focus to the ethereum because value now is rising which is good for investing.

Indeed, Tezos has quite interesting technology at the moment, and also open sources. But why is it nearly impossible to beat ethereum? Due to the large usage base of the platform, if you look at most platforms on the blockchain you can see that they are using ethereum. besides that, in my opinion, ethereum is also one of the coins that has a big influence in the formation of this crypto community

The right answer for that is we don't know because everything can be possible to happen. We know that every coin at the market can be a competitor for ethereum and can be the next ethereum. If @OP thinks that Tezos can be the next ethereum, he can buy that coin from now as he says that the current price is $2, which is the low price for the coin that has the potential to be the next ethereum.

But so far, I still choose ethereum than to select the other coins, although I am trying to buy the other coins. It is hard to compete with ethereum as we know that ethereum has the potential to reach the next new ATH.

No Tezos isn't even close to Polkadot not to talk of Ethereum, I think the best ETH challenger right is Polkadot but still even Polkadot can't win over Ethereum on the long run because developers will still prefers to use ethereum compare other new smart contract platforms in crypto space

Every now and then, we keep seeing post like this, about the next coin that will beat Ethereum, take over from it and so on, but I always find it hard believing that any coin can actually best or be the next Ethereum. Every project or blockchain platform is unique in its own way and the only way to remain useful to users and attractive to investors is to continually improve the services of the platform, in this way securing that particular area of expertise; thus every project should just stick to what they do best and stop unnecessary competitions. Years back, many projects said Ethereum is slow and all that, but the same Ethereum is still waxing strong each day while those projects are no where to be found.
So, Yes, Tezos is good but doesn't have what it takes to beat Ethereum so are others, but however I love the challenges because it will make Ethereum's team to work harder.

I don't think it's so... Every year, new and new "Ethereum killers" appear and disappear! For example, before it was WAVES, XLM, EOS, XTZ, ATOM, DOT, but no one has achieved such success as ETH! I don't think anybody can replace it, just like nobody can replace bitcoin!

Very well said. The efforts of Tezos Research ,Marketing and Technically team will certainly deliver results in coming months/years and we will see it in the list Top 10. They have already started Banking/staking  services on many exchanges. There is much more to come.

How many developers are writing code for Tezos? 

The largest number of developers currently work in the Ethereum ecosystem.  There are also many developers in the Bitcoin, EOS and Tron ecosystems.  Tezos is not a very popular cryptocurrency (for developers)...

In 2017, many (including myself) were waiting for the implementation of this project.  But there were problems with its implementation.  As a result, another Ethereum killer (EOS), has attracted the main attention of investors.  Tezos has not yet managed to overtake EOS in terms of capitalization.

 Ethereum is likely to remain the leader among the "innovative" blockchains.

Tezos will be the next tezos and nothing more, people put too much pressure on teams and projects to become the next big thing but when you want them to succeed at that much higher level, gaining 10-50% profit becomes nothing important and not a big deal because you expected them to be 10x at least, which is why I am highly against supporting a coin to death in a way that you are hurting the thing you love.

I understand that someone who wants Tezos to beat ETH in price and market cap does it because they love that coin and want to see it succeed like a parent, however when you want tezos to be this good, whenever it fails to be like that you think of every small accomplishment as something too tiny to care about and that hurts the coin you are supporting.

Tezos has been here for a quite time. I know they gives reward for staking but except that, I have never heard of any real use case of Tezos. I don't even know if they are a utility platform like Ethereum or not. Never heard a Tezos token or a smart contract on Tezos blockchain. Tezos for me is an dead project. Old and useless.
