i didnt touch a single thing in the bios. just have the latest bios.
left it all alone minus i overclocked slightly for  my 3900x so i can mine monero on 23 threads at the same time.
i even have a m.2 nvme hd attached to the board.
not sure what you are struggling for. i even cleared with cmos before after failed oc attempts.
do you have added virtual memory?
performance power settings?
those are really only things i change with windows.

thnx for reply, ive tried with one card and riser and miner works fine ( yes ive adjusted VM) , when i try the other card that also works fine, but when i try both with risers i get a colorful pixel picture on my screen. ive updated bios and i get the colorpixelsscreen both with default bios setting and with pcie gen2, and 4G enabled. so i know that risers work, cards work, but not together ....  Huh Huh

Put the video card in the biggest top slot.  Use that for monitor. Put the riser on various small pci slots.

My motherboard is ASUS ROG STRIX B450-f Gaming 2, might there be a differense with ASUS ROG STRIX B450-f Gaming  and ASUS ROG STRIX B450-f Gaming 2?

It’s not a mining board.  Those small ones work.  Have used my board for over a year and probably least amount of downtime on my boards. Use the small ports.

i had this before on a few boards.  is it flashing ?

if so you need to find a way that you can ddu the drivers and then reinstall them.
something went corrupt.
i was able to get into my system with teamviewer before when my screen was flashing and pixeled.
perhaps its your card not the board.
or if you have a old video card say like a vga one try that.
i have a rage 512 that i use for situations like that.

I have several of these motherboards. They are my go to board. I don't like to build rigs larger than 6 GPUs, but I have tested and can run all 6 PCIe slots and 2x M.2 with adapters.

My board is full of 570 and 580s.  Only the one top pci do I put the card directly on the board.  The rest I use risers powered by a 1200w power supply. I do that so I have video to my monitor.
I would suggest you not over clock so high.  Bring them down and see if it gets better.  I had the latest bios as well. Think my settings are 1200 and 2150 roughly. Undervolted differently per card. All modded. Using blockchain drivers.
Because I’m running Polaris I’m using 5.1c.   Not sure what else to tell you.  Mine runs a month at a time with no problems.  Maybe try to find the problem. Is the 5700xt modded? Mine are modded
On my asrock board I use 2 5700xt and they would shut down several times a day.  Found the problem was I was using 1330 for clock.(I think of hand)  I backed it down 20 or so and been smooth sailing.
Because you are only running 8 fb ram maybe try adding virtual memory as well.
Are the risers new?

Can you share your BIOS Version and settings?

I have this board and I cannot get it to post more than 1 GPU on risers.

Im running same board, 3060 ti, vega 56 and 1660 super.
After BIOS update, disabling fast boot, enabling pciex RAID and using gen 2, I was able to boot with one card on mobo, and two with risers. But then all cards are running only about half the speed they should....

With 3060ti mobo, and vega 56 riser I get about 95MH/s
With 3060ti mobo, vega 56 with riser and 1660 super with riser I get total of 70 MH/s. So something is limiting the hashrate terribly....

Both risers tested separately and they work. Any ideas what to test next?

Any Ideas?

Now I tested same setup but with different mobo. Same results  Huh

Could it be the PSU... Im powering risers with molex to 6pin adapters. Maybe the PSU has problems when it needs to power two risers at the same time?

hi guys,

your tips have worked wonderfully.
I have been running 6 cards for 2 weeks without any problems.

Have any of you already tested 8 cards?
So 6x Pci-e + 2x m.2 interface.
I already have the m.2 to pci-e adapters, just waiting for the cards.

If so, how must the BIOS be set?

Thanks already
