After Biden has been declared the winner of the US presidency, there's a lot of uncertainty regarding to crypto's (and the mainstream economy) behavior during the next 4 years. At times, it's been shown that crypto prices move either up or down depending on certain events in the mainstream world. Some people say that in a Democratic administration, the stock market (and crypto too) will experience a constant uptrend in price. Others say the contrary when Republicans are in power. Since 2020 has been filled with uncertainty, anything could happen in the following months.

This makes me wonder how will a Biden presidency impact crypto? Will crypto continue to soar towards new heights? Do you think that a Democratic administration will be much more friendly towards the crypto/Blockchain industry in general?

Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley

Biden is a very experienced politician, with a track record of decades in politics. He can definitely make the best decisions including in the crypto world to improve the current economy of USA. Isn't it that America has been friendly enough towards crypto? But I'm sure it won't be too influential because of the current popularity of crypto that many people have accepted.

However, you should take into account his age. If I am not mistaken, Mr. President (the elected one) is 78. Nevertheless, he is from Democrats, and many powerful people there support cryptocurrencies. Crypto might see the best times soon.

I think that cryptocurrencies, specifically Bitcoin, have become too large to be influenced substantially by the policy of a president or country.
Let us remember what happened with China.
Therefore, if Joe Biden is open to cryptocurrencies, it will rise quickly, and if not, the price will not back to 0 and maybe affected in the short term.

In the long term, unless a unified policy is adopted by all countries, it is difficult to stop cryptocurrencies.

Remember Trump already said he don't like Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, I assumed Biden is not to be worst than that.

You mean cryptocurrency would b better this time with the Biden presidency? Trump is a businessman and for me he knows a lot of things about crypto that Biden so I would think that there would be not much improvement on crypto in terms of adaptation but I just hope that I'm wrong and the bullrun will happen on Biden's presidency.

I think cryptocurrency will still move according to its course.  Biden might be the president of the United States but his power and influence do not include the whole world.  It may have an effect on the citizens of the United States but I bet other crypto-friendly countries will not be affected by this.  So whether a cryptocurrency will soar or not does not depends on Biden's decision but rather on the supporter of it.

Well, one should always stay positive and hopeful and also remember the rule of the nature that means that the new changes are for the better so i will simply hope that he will prove to be better and blockchain and crypto will prosper and flourish massively in US and all over the world in coming years due to US backing.

Joe Biden represents the same party to which Barrack Obama was affiliated and he remain in the office as president till 2016 without doing anything in support of crypto.
Anyways with new president and new team we can hope this time things will be much better because there is strong pro crypto voices now coming up from within the biggest political parties so we can expect some positive changes.

I think that the "color" of the administration will have little to no effect on Bitcoin and crypto.
Politicians may remember now and then about crypto and make some more regulations or find out some ways to tax it. But I really don't expect more than that from them.

But the world start to be more and more interested of crypto. And public opinion matters to politicians. That may help.

From my point of view, things will not change much for cryptocurrencies in the US and thus the entire market. Whether it's democratic or republic, there are few ministries that don't change their affairs. Even if any change in inclination or declination towards crypto will happen, it will take much time as these policies will not take effect immediately.

And if they will read that PayPal is the latest one to adopt cryptocurrency in their system, which is an American company.
I believe they will change their mindset towards crypto. But I think, this will not be his priority in his first year in office.
There's a lot more issues to resolve and the first one, is the containment of covid. And assist his citizens to recover from this crisis.
They have their own staffs to take care about these things, but for now I am not expecting any statement related to crypto.

The "expectations" is that not just crypto, but the traditional markets like stocks or even precious metals will soar high during Biden's presidency. But it is too early to see though where we are going. Will he surrounds himself with young advisors or at least have a knack on crypto? or old farts that doesn't appreciate it? And right now, Biden's priority is the Covid-19 pandemic in the States, so I doubt that he will have crypto in his agenda for the first six months of his term. So we will have to wait and see.

I read some articles about Biden, he doesn't seem to like the encryption stuff. and crypto is synonymous with this, so maybe this will be bad because of the Biden sentiment. but this is just my estimate, after all, Biden will be inaugurated next year. so we cannot predict what policy he will make in the future. if he makes policies that are not favorable to crypto holders this could have an impact on the market as a whole. so maybe the early years Biden was inducted into an important time for the future of crypto.

This is going to be more exciting since Biden has the good timing while bitcoin soar higher in his electoral wins. However we should be more precautions on what outcomes will happen after all, because it could be popularity or people will only rely on trend. We must go after reality and not with rumors, perhaps realizations always comes after and we can't predict the circumstances.

Well, it's too early to speculate how these Biden presidency will give a good or bad impact in the crypto space. However, he already stated that he is open about bitcoin and I think this democratic administration will be going to open more opportunities through considering the use of blockchain tech or crypo itself.

While, Trump expressed his feeling from the beginning that he is not a pro bitcoiner but later on he changed his mind about it. As I can see it, Biden  is going to make a good shape in crypto regulations that eventually make a strong impact for crypto industry in the future.

But, his tweet after the hack incident in his twitter make crypto users doubt about him with cryptocurrency.

If Biden or Trump has that much power to influence Bitcoin or crypto, then I don't think they'll be considering launching their digital dollar (CBDC), imo it's clear to the govt that they cannot be a third party in Bitcoin transactions and hence one of the things they do is impose regulations, Biden could lessen regulations on cryptocurrecies in the U.S. and that will be good for crypto and could affect the value, but Biden/nobody has any direct influence on Bitcoin, so that goes to say that as for what's going to happen in the next four years (of Bidens first tenure), to Bitcoin and crypto, I prolly don't think anyone knows.

The uncertainty will come after he made an announcement that he is against Cryptocurrency, I'm sure, the administration team will do a study of Cryptocurrency if it is beneficial to everybody, and of course it is beneficial, we should not speculate this early, the market is bouncing back we must not feed negative on it, we'll wait for his announcement while waiting, it's business as usual for us.
