Tezos? Its not a new project mate. Among the projects you listed I thought Im gonna see a newer defi project like yearn finance, uniswap governance protocol. Those top 2 are surely a beast and keeps innovating but these projects are already known one. Aave and synthetix are top defi projects but Im still rooting out for yearn finance to build more useful contract applications.

Top projects means nothing if they are still nothing to show so these list is technically winners by default. Kindly pick a newer projects that are worth to eye.

Of course new projects are still very promising but it's getting too hard to find the rare gems among the bad projects, it's like looking for a needle in the ocean, sometimes even promising projects failed, the best advice is always use diversification on so called promising projects and invest only what you can afford to lose, thanks for the nice post OP

The only new project on your list was Polkadot which is launched this year. The rest was launched during 2017 to 2018 ICO hype. 4(AAVE,Chainlink, Dot and Synthetix) out of 5 are DeFi that's why they benefit on DeFi hype which drives the price high. Most the DeFi project pump atleast 100% last month and every DeFi becomes hidden gem. Only Tezos shows an organic growth due to there product development.

Well here is my own list of new projects that do wonders this year so far, few of the projects on OP list are old projects from 2018 era but did well today because of DeFi hype

OP shouldn't have removed Tezos from the list, Tezos is a 2018 project but who would thought that a project from the bearish era can make it to top rank on coinmarketcap? This is encouraging honestly, Tezos deserves to be on the list because many still thinks that projects after 2017 are bad

It's been hard for any projects since 2018 to make it to top 20 on coinmarketcap and it's good to see few new projects doing so well today, atleast this will confuse those saying we already have enough coins in crypto space, this shows that's new projects can still kick asses, I'm so into Polkadot and Chainlink, they are my favourite

Good to see fresh projects like Chainlink and Uniswap to be on the top of the market. Most new projects since the last bull market hardly survive the market. Indeed there are still rare gems in the market you just need to look hard for them and it will be worth it. Can't wait to see new innovations and fresh projects this upcoming year.

Not surprised, we can't expect all new projects to be this successful I guess that's why it's tough finding good new projects like Polkadot and Chainlink but still nothing is impossible in this space, more new projects will still bring surprises I believe, let's be ready and keep watching, hopefully more new projects will deliver

I understand that new projects can still delivers but just imagine the numbers of new projects since 2018 that failed today, out of only God knows the number only very few delivers, it's getting more harder for new projects to survive due to not only scam but other reasons too, it's very sad to be honest

Frankly speaking many new projects are just way too bad, out of thousands of new projects since 2018 only 20 to 30 are still alive and still have good adoption rate today, majority of new projects have a good start and later end up dead or abandoned, you can never predicts what will happen

You could easily judge the list because you haven't heard about the projects before and again coinmarketcap top 20 isn't what any project can just jump to, remember that coinmarketcap ranks project with volumes and liquidity, it's really not that easy for a new project to have better volume than Ethereum or have you seen one? DYOR because only very promising projects can get to top20

So is coinmarketcap top 10 and top 20 ranks are simply for show? To rank up to top 20 isn't a joke mate, that project must have achieve insane adoption rate to get there, do deep research on the projects on OP list they are all very good and promising compared to many other new projects today

I believe that this is just the beginning, many new projects will storm the top 20 ranks in future, it's only a matter of time, this is why is still develop interests in new projects today even while many are from scam artists, with deep research and careful analysis we can still find rare promising projects to invest on.

Regret not listening to someone when he said Synthetix was rising it quickly. I remember him creating a threat for it but I ignore that signal. After few mknths the token is worth $2 each, this is then I decide to get in before the prices shoot to the moon.

The project is really worth watching and I think they can tokenize projects even from the stock market as well. Aave as far as I know has this type of plan in their roadmap. Both SNX and Aave will likely among the defi projects that will have higher value.

Of course, a new project can still deliver and can still perform the best. They can be even much better than the existing or old projects already. And this will depend on their intention of launching their project. We can see that's lots of new projects just come to raise funds and then run away.

The case scenario is, every project once had their early beginning, therefore it means they were once called new projects, thus can not be denied, but where some new projects aims for the betterment of their users and the crypto space, others only want to scam, and it is this high level of scam among new projects is what keeps driving investors away as well as giving many people the mindset that we don't need new projects. Taking a look at your list, explains everything I have said so far; all these listed projects are growing everyday therefore showing that, something good can still come from upcoming projects, but however we need to be careful and be able to differentiate genuine projects with good use cases from those that are hyped projects, hence the scam as well as pump and dump nature.
Thus, I agree with you, some new projects can still deliver.

There are few new projects that I like better than those top altcoins and they haven't made it to top 30 yet, I'm just saying that we shouldn't underestimate new altcoins under top 30 on coinmarketcap, gradually they can start raising up in top charts before you know it, so better be more friendly with deep research
