Don't hold your breath for altcoins. There's a lot o FUD going on coming from big social media influencers saying that Bitcoin dominance will go to 80% and alts will go to 0 when SEC sues other projects the same way they did to XRP.

I think this FUD is what is holding altcoins back and making people buy only BTC. But it won't last forever that's for sure!

SEC sued XRP because the owners/founders did shaddy actions. So it is justified in my opinion. However, many Altcoins are different from XRP and will therefore not be prosecuted by the SEC. Litecoin, for example, is basically a Bitcoin clone. In principle, you are currently spreading FUD yourself.

I'm starting to see signs of alts wanting to move. Bitcoin is just such a powerhouse at the min. It seems inevitable that 2021 will be the year of the quality project. Shame I didn't have this foresight with naming this thread!

It is always not a threat, it will also make bitcoin bullish because there's no way bitcoin will dump during the altcoins season, maybe the dominance of bitcoin will be reduce a bit, but bitcoin will continue to rise, that's what I saw in the past, I think we will still head to the same scenario if altcoins season will happen.

Yes, but your doubts on the condition of Altcoins for the next time will not affect many people in crypto to continue to believe in their respective analysis of the market, because now is a condition where everyone is very kind to act even though some people do not consider the current conditions as Altcoin season.

Be patient if you're into most altcoins. But if your asset is mostly in bitcoin, enjoy and keep rocking with its soar. People are expecting the altcoin season so quick because that's just what happened in 2017.
We can try to analyze it when 2021 comes and if this bullish will stop for bitcoin then, the possibility for the altcoins to come might be there. But as long as it's there for bitcoin, the bulls, don't expect it yet.

Definitely when bitcoin stabilizes and its dominance goes down a little bit we are going to witness the best altseason in years.
The bitcoin money will flow elsewhere to try and keep the pump going after breaking ATH.
Just don't forget to sell this time like me in 2017.

The right time for the altcoins will come for sure we are in the first week of the 2021 and I see some good improvement to the most of the altcoins now and also bitcoin is still pumping the value. The value of the altcoins I believe it will pump soon because altcoins season is this year and many crypto user are really think and believe about that which is really possible to happen.

2020 is over, there's no altcoins season that year, so we would move this year and hopefully it will come.

Ethereum broke $1,000 already, it could be a good start but we are not yet there.
If bitcoin will dump, things are not clear because eventually ETH will follow.

I have a feeling that bitcoin will not stand its bullish trend, and it will do a correction anytime soon.

That's right, this year is like 2017, and 2022 will be looking like 2018. And in 2018, as we remember, that was the year when the altcoin season came. But before looking to that altcoin season, we're hoping to see bitcoin manages to get $100k first.

There will be a different from 2017 altcoins season to a possible next altcoins season as the run would be good only for the major coins which has a good volume. those coins that have not survive anymore, they'll vanish and probably the teams are now creating a new project riding with the hype of De Fi or IEO.

the thing is " Are there really a  Altcoin Season '? is this really coming or just another BS expectation?
We saw that in 2018 before the so called "Altcoin Season" happens , Bitcoin starts to fall Late December and continues up to 2018 ,
But we are seeing different condition now as Bitcoin stays strong at more than 30,000 Dollar value.
So for me this will really hard to expect , Better to just Look at individual coin than to expect the whole coming.
And also Bitcoin is not Yet over so if ever that altcoin will grow together ? this is not happening sooner.
