Bitcoin is not steadying, mate. It is aggressively in a bull run. If your altcoin is not showing any signs of growth, sell them for Bitcoin. Bitcoin is going to create a new ATH soon and it might run over the altcoins on its way. But if your altcoin is one of the top ones, you don't have to worry about it. I think they are going to benefit as well from this bull run. I can see how ETH and XMR and other major altcoins are also gaining in prices in this bull season.

Nah, it just means that altcoin will further bleed as crypto investors will likely shift to Bitcoin. What's interesting though that if you talk about altcoin, only the top 10 coins are going to probably increase together with Bitcoin, the rest will suffer.

For some altcoins? yeah, specially the Defi and Uniswap hype, but for the top 10 and prime movers coins, the growth is good in the long run. The potential 'bubble' is still too far, I'm looking at 2021 and beyond. So better just continue to stack BTC on buy alts in the top ten.

one thing that I always believe, every time there is a high and so fast rise. there will always be bubbles. and you could say that now the bubble has been created. It's only a matter of time until it explodes. then will the end of the year be an altseason?

The answer will be maybe, as we don't know if bitcoin stability now is a sign for the altcoin to increase or getting the bull run. But if that happens, I think we will see another rally from the altcoin, and every coin will have their time to increase. How can you say 2020 was bad year for altcoins, perhaps you want their performance to be like that of 2017. Things has change, investors are looking for adoption and usecase than just ordinary shill projects with nothing to show for. Check year till date of top 100 coins and token on market cap, you will find out they have performed extremely okay with atleast a 100% ROI. That's pretty good compared to traditional instruments and assets. Check gold and Bitcoin, you wouldnt complain about altcoins.
On contrary to OP, the year has ended, I don't really see new Altcoin season but may be come 2021,we likely see bull run.

You have just answered some of my worries surrounding the current Bitcoin momentum, the rate at which the bitcoin price moved and still moving seem diffrent to me compared to the 2017 bullish movement. The space at which the market is going might or might not be good for the altcoins pumps but the issue here is the altcoinseaons will be back after this struggles. We have been in an altcoin season for months, in principle since March / April. Because hardly anyone speaks about it, it shows that it is a relatively healthy development and not a hype like 2017 when the price was three or four times as much within a few weeks. I expect this development to continue in 2021, with slight setbacks, but we will certainly be higher at the end of 2021 than at the end of 2020.

I completely agree with you, and I believe that if this growth trend continues at the same pace, then a little more, and the capitalization of Bitcoin will double. in my opinion is correct. If Bitcoin has reached a high and stable. then the altcoin session starts. and that would make the altcoin price 2-3x the current price. I think this is not the alt seasons because of the price of bitcoin currently is soaring high in the market. We cannot tell when it will happen since the market for alts were declined. Halving could not be a strong reason to prove why this is not a bubble but the strong proof could be there were so many billionaires started to take some portions from their portfolios to be used by bitcoin. This brings massive adoption to the bitcoin. Other than that it's still questionable, even BNB is still struggling at $28 for 2 weeks. First we need to reach to a point where bitcoin no longer can support going any higher, right now it is still going higher and even if it gives breaks a bit, it is still going higher after the break. SEC sued XRP because the owners/founders did shaddy actions. So it is justified in my opinion. However, many Altcoins are different from XRP and will therefore not be prosecuted by the SEC. Litecoin, for example, is basically a Bitcoin clone. In principle, you are currently spreading FUD yourself.

Be patient if you're into most altcoins. But if your asset is mostly in bitcoin, enjoy and keep rocking with its soar. People are expecting the altcoin season so quick because that's just what happened in 2017.

There's still no sign of switch up for bitcoin market to altcoin market but there would be a day on where it will surely happen but no one can predict on when it would happen.

You make a good point, I don't think it's only that the big companies don'tknow about alts. I think it's more that they don't know enough about the smaller projects and how they can bring great change. I think a lot of this will come with projects proving themselves with products.
