Ethereum: $500, $400, or $800?

Price is very much at resistance levels, so difficult to tell right now. I don't doubt it can reach $750-800 in the near future, later this year, but it'll need to break out of the long-term parallel channel it has remained in for the past two years. Given it's been trading within this range for so long, it seems most likely to get rejected at resistance, statistically speaking. Breaking out the channel and through resistance, means there is very far to go until the next resistance level. This is the hopeful sign at least in the mid-term.



Otherwise, somewhere between the mid-level of the channel, as well as 50 & 200 Week MAs around $250-300 doesn't seem unlikely to me what-so-ever. Bare in mind that despite the rally from sub <$100 to >$400 (300% rise), there still isn't a "golden cross" of the 50 & 200 MAs on the Weekly time-frame, so there is still bearish pressure around.

Ethereum 2.0 will launch in December. Along with the price, it is currently 500 but in the near future it will go up to 1000.

Can there be any guarantee that the launch of ethereum 2.0 will be able to change and influence developments that will be significant to ethereum? theoretically this is to fix and improve so that it can be better, but the reality will not necessarily happen.

But that ethereum will see an increase is understandable as bitcoin is giving all the altcoins a boost with the increase being experienced.

for several months altcoins seem to be confused by the rapid change of bitcoin, where bitcoin can go down quickly but can also go up quickly too. So far, altcoins usually follow but not when bitcoin does.

I am sure that eventually altcoins will get used to the way bitcoin works today, I can agree that ethereum will increase by the end of the year but for $ 1K it is still too far, but if next year I am sure it will surpass.

I can feel ethereum can go 500$ before this month end and going 800$ by next year. Like what the old bullrun did, its just history is repeating itself but this time it will be more exciting.

Exactly, its getting more exciting to see the market make its new ATH and with ETH we’re in good hands. I also believe that ETH will end this year on a big price probably beyond $500 and who knows, it might hit the price of $1k again. 2.0 version has been released as what i have read in other thread i just cant dig which it is,but yet nothing good comes for Ethereum price.

valuation, i am expecting the market to move to those levels by next year rather than this year. The markets are performing exceptionally well this year than i expected and hopefully we will see that continue next year as well.

Actually All Time high of Ethereum is more than $1400 so what OP is asking here is far low compared to the real target.
and I admit that it will take time but not that much longer because we are near $20,000 value of bitcoin again,if BTC break another ATH then why not Ethereum right?

$500 is so close now, ETH is priced at $454 now, but if bitcoin will breakout to $17,000, then I would say ETH will easily be heading to $500 or even more. So close but yet to achieve ,we already hit $480 but still keep on falling when we reached that high,
not like bitcoin that Keeps on taking another high almost each week,as now the next target is $17,000 that nearly to achieve today as the price surge up to $16,816 too close for another high.
though the price subside now to $16,620 again but still we are observing a good movement while other ranking currency are not.

Looks like you are mistaken here eth 2.0 has NOT yet released its only a deposit contract it means you can now deposit an exact amount of 32 eth if you want to take part in staking when POS started, the expected genesis date of eth 2.0 is Dec. 01 so still its really bullish the $800 level can easily achieve even in 24 hours.

The whole market is moving upwards now, led by bitcoin... so to a large extent what happens to ETH is determined by wider movements. I would expect the bullish sentiment to persist, and prices - including ETH - to continue to rise, as the case for crypto grows stronger against a backdrop of government bailouts and money-printing.
For ETH there is of course the move to 2.0 and staking, which will be an additional factor.. . but it's something that is known about in advance, and factored into current price considerations.
So I'd say the whole market movement is the bigger driver at the moment and for the near future.

My Bad i misunderstood the Thread i read or better say i am lazy reading the whole context thats why i thought the 2.0 version was released not knowing that it is the deposit contract .

2.0 version has been released as what i have read in other thread i just cant dig which it is,but yet nothing good comes for Ethereum price.

The news about ETH2.0 to be released is false though it still in the testnet stage and the last time i checked ETH is still in the Medalla phase. However, the Beacon Chain phase need to execute next month before ETH2.0 will be released and even Beacon Chain is done 2.0 version is not totally complete.
With that been said,the previous years trend cant be used to judge the price of ETH this year cause the traffic gained this year is huge.

It is very positive seeing ethereum price has an increase. It touched above $400 so more likely $500-600 is very possible this year ends. But let's see what will gonna happen once upgrade will occur in ethereum.
