In the near future Ethereum will soon reach a price of $ 500, because now the Ethereum price is already at the price of $ 477.
This is of course positive news for Ethereum holders. But for Ethereum hitting a price of $ 800 is unlikely happen this year,
we should be able to think realistically that Ethereum's rise is not as high as Bitcoin. So my prediction this year is that the maximum
Ethereum price will only reach $ 500, even reaching a price of $ 600 is difficult to achieve this year.

In May 2018, Bitcoin was around $ 12,000, Ethereum was $ 800, and up to this time the balance has been severely disrupted. I believe that when Ethereum 2.0 is launched, ETH will start to catch up.

The reason for this thread is expectation of Ethereum price to 800$.Because when the price bitcoin reached 17k$ in 2017, the price of Ethereum had reached 1200$.So the Ethereum holders waiting for Ethereum price to reach 800$ again.

I have same feeling, as we're experiencing unparallel movement it will difficult for Ethereum breaking ATH rest of the years. Lately but moving up, and Ethereum 2.0 is coming so i'm optimistic ETH will catch the train.  

Let's see what future will bring to this coin although it's not following the same pattern like BTC. There is smart money involve in it and all big players entering to this ecosystem but retail investors will dive into ETH and altcoins like what happen in early 2018.

After this Bitcoin rally I expect all top Altcoins to rally after. There is high probability Ether price would hit $800, When Bitcoin price is $20k Ethereum at 0.035BTC gives it $700. Yeah, $500 milestone is finished. TBH, we need a new ATH on BTC, than we can see a great alt season and hopefully more bullish than previous one. If it's happened and probably we can also get a new ATH for ETH from upcoming alt season. Just need to wait for the bullish trend of alt season, IMO.

I think if they run Eth 2.0 before the end of the December price will rise up to 1000$. otherwise going back to 200$

its more possible for ethereum to grow and reach about $1k rather than going back to $200

The possibility of reaching $1k before the year end is somewhat high. If they can finally roll out eth 2.0. However, if it will be launched by next year, I believe we will be seeing eth in the $600-800 level by next month. If btc will continue to rise, eth will follow. I also don't think that they will go back to $200, that is way past already. So before it goes up again, if you can afford to invest, maybe it is good time to accumulate more, but remember the risk involved also. Not an advise here.

As of now we've crossed $500, upon the same reaching $1000 isn't a big deal. Probably we'll reach $1000 soon, because now ethereum seems to grow parallel to bitcoin. You are right, the expectations are high but the lack of any major feature on the next launch can cause a flash crash on the volatile crypto market. The current uptrend on ETH charts is caused by the hype of BTC demand, not because of ETH 2.0. I am sure the crypto market investors will price the ETH 2.0 before the launch and they never do this after the event, from my experience. The HYPE will die but the technical reasons will survive for a long time to save the reasons for the pump.
