I bet most people are still on the shit coins if Bitcoin didn't reach this price right now but who knows? Bitcoin has the tendency to reach above level of price than what we expected I guess every halving we'll experience this kind of bullish price compared to most altcoins. Ethereum is always the second best choice if there's a Bitcoin bull run because it sure does follow the trend that's why investing on it is recommended.

It's been the trend that each halving that take place, the value of bitcoin really rallied high who knows without this pandemic maybe bitcoin is not to this

level chances that it's already gaining back the last time high or it's already passing that level. With those corresponding alts, we don't know if what will

be the fate, chances that they might try to make the run and bring investors around, just need to be more careful and always think wise.

altcoins can't keep up with bitcoin even after bitcoin reach $16k, most of my altcoins holding still in loss in the portfolio.
Trading altcoins is a losing game, if bitcoin price rise up, altcoins price seems to increase a little bit, but if bitcoin drop, altcoins decrease even deeper.
Only a few altcoins seem to survive and tend to go up in price regardless of the declining bitcoin price.

I think a lot of the interest in alts is because people see that bitcoin increased hugely in price over the years, and feel they've missed the boat. They jump into an alt, lured by the upwards component of price volatility, and thinking it will be the next bitcoin. Perhaps they hit lucky and buy something good, most most likely they buy something that has no future.

The thing is, people haven't missed the boat on bitcoin. There is no need to look elsewhere. Bitcoin is nowhere near its maximum potential yet. Bitcoin can really change the world. It's not too late to buy in!

Not an altcoin season. In 2017-2018 the cryptocurrency market in general was in a bullrun, but we're in a different situation today. Maybe the rising number of shitcoins coming in to the market has divided the investors, thus lossing their focus to top alts, taking chances to get real quick once a shitcoin pumps.
This what's separates Bitcoin among the majority of alts in crypto market.

Since the last time on 2018 when was 16K many shit/alt coins we changed in price some of them are fallen down and some others are still rising. As you may know, Bitcoin could recover a huge part of price fall after 2017, but many other big shitcoins still couldn't recover. That's reason why we love it.

2020

Ripple

2020

Litecoin

2020

Ethereum

2020

I remember the time that when I used to buy Ripple at $0.77, but quickly sold it at almost $4.00 before it gets dumped hard. Not bad for a profit though. I honestly believe that Ripple may not be able to grow parabolic like Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc. I can call Ripple as an “almost stable-coin like” because it stays between the $0.20 to $0.27 range.

The high prices of altcoins in the past were identical with fake volume. However, time has slowly proven that no matter how hard the efforts of the altcoins, it will not equalize the existence of bitcoin which is just quiet without any nonsense promotion.

This is the reason why Bitcoin is the most desirable asset to buy in the market

Dominance: BTC 63.7% ETH 11.1% USDT 3.84%

All of us here have Bitcoin as their primary portfolio this is the most secured investment in the market, all the other are just pump and dump coin, yes there are coins with a good platform, but enough to get into the top, and some of these platforms are just imitation of existing platforms

I agree with you but add that Ethereum *might* get interesting on its own because of its upcoming shift with 2.0 from current Proof of Work (PoW) consensus algorithm to Proof of Stake (PoS) in 2021 (or could be an epic mistake resulting in the price crashing  Shocked))  Time will tell...

It's true, until now the price of bitcoin has remained at $ 16k. And maybe this value may not increase again until the end of this month. Just going back up in early December. Because the movement of other coins began to slow down and there were no major increases.

I think better to hold ripple and eth now, who know next year will be there year if now is for bitcoin. Well, bitcoin is really the best digital currency to invest. Those who buy during March and hold until now will surely gain a lot.

bitcoin is very easy to go up again because bitcoin is still used by people for transaction fees for buying and selling goods.  In shitcoin there are those that have experienced price increases and some have experienced price decreases, this is because there are some shitcoins that people still use and there are also shitcoins that are no longer useful, this is what causes the dispute over the price of shitcoin.

Nice presentation of data OP. I just remember that it did happen to ETH reaching to 1K USD but now down only to 400 + USD per ETH. Not bad either with ETH because we know that it still keep going strong in the market. However, we can see clearly now that among the coins in the market, it is bitcoin will stand. Chainlink may have a good market for now but we do not know what will going to happen in the future by the coin. Hopefully it will still get strong as what the community wanted to happen.

This pandemic had nothing to do with the Bitcoin price, it will continue to move unexpectedly but the only thing that budge the price is when Trump got covid-19. That news made the market to drop suddenly but it's just a couple or more days Bitcoin price did manage to grow back again. This just proved that the pandemic is not affecting the Bitcoin price it's just the adaptation is suddenly growing stronger that's why Bitcoin price did grow slowly.

Thanks for the reminder.
I have sold my Ethereum back those days. It was $1k+ also. I forgot the exact figure.
Then I bought it back at $230-260. Now, I am in profits once again. Lucky.  Wink

Bitcoin though is something I won't sell just yet. I believe there is much more we could experience than this.
Chainlink. Ahh, I never had the guts to buy that. Could have been profitable too.

It's hard to believe that bitcoin reach 16k$ once again but I guess this could only mean one thing for most of the investors, surely the potential for profit is high, Bitcoin market price could easily skyrocket up to 20k$ hopefully in the coming months.

Still, when it comes to altcoin there is still a lot of potential for investment in altcoin, trading altcoins in the market is really profitable even in altcoins or investing in a project. But I'm surprised that there was no major movement into these altcoins.

Sincerely those altcoins are shitholes from their existence, that which ban-fools me is the Ripple coin. Sometimes 2018 i bought some quantities for my holding before the price dropped and am yet to regain my lost glory with ripple. The regret i had was not buy Chainlink coin becasue the coin wasn't made my choice, i followed the market blindly. Bitcoin is the sure investment for everyone mostly those with the aim of long-term.

If the reverse was the case am sure you will say the same thing about chainlink, a shitcoin because the price is down, am sure base on your interpretation eth is also a shit coin since it has been unable to recover back to its price of 2018,
Maybe perhaps that 2018 price was just an over speculated price, what we are seeing at present is the actual worth of this coins, just something to pounder about.

Chainlink token (Chainlink does not have its own blockchain) became a successful project in 2020 thanks to DeFi.

Many altcoins have not recovered their value since 2020.  Ethereum's price in January 2018 was nearly $ 1,500.  However, this (probably) happened due to the actions of the cryptocurrency company Block.one (the organizer of the EOS project).  In 2018-2019, the drop in the price of Ethereum was more significant than the drop in the price of the first cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is the most valuable cryptocurrency.  Now its price is $ 16,000, but I believe that soon its price will exceed $ 20,000.

I read somewhere that it will actually happen maybe next month or Q1 of 2021  and I believe in that, that's why I am holding my money now and wait for it to pump because I feel it! 20k is coming, maybe it will go some dump now but eventually it will go higher so keep your bitcoin now, get away to some fud and trust bitcoin.

This is more reason we shouldn't compare bitcoin to any  altcoin, bitcoin has the potential to rise again after it must have fallen, but most altcoin when there fall there find it difficult to even come back to its actual price, so bitcoin still remain the best cryptocurrency so far, and there is a possibility of bitcoin hitting $16k early next year.

I have sold my Ethereum back those days. It was $1k+ also. I forgot the exact figure.
Then I bought it back at $230-260. Now, I am in profits once again. Lucky.  Wink

Chainlink. Ahh, I never had the guts to buy that. Could have been profitable too.
Nicely done with your Ethereum I held my Ethereum up to the peak then down  Cry
