They're probably the people who regret the most for not buying BTC at a low price when they had the opportunity before. In investment, your money's growth is not guaranteed if it will gain a profit or what but when you take a risk and believe that your money will grow eventually, then you'll succeed someday.

What rule are you exactly talking about though? I am pretty sure that you can probably provide that rule because I would label it as absurd if there is no proof. The reason that the value of fiat is getting lower is because of inflation but it can always be counteracted if the worker's wages are increasing in parallel to the inflation.

Also, buy low and sell high is a pretty good rule of thumb but if you are trying to make a living out of trading, it's not a really good idea to use it because you need to make money for short-term gains.

But the psychological fear that is instilled in people works in exactly the opposite way - when the price falls, people panic and want to escape this fear, so they sell. When they have sold all their coins, they no longer feel threatened because they have nothing more to lose.

Unfortunately, most of society is taught to think this way from an early age.

Also for those that even hade the will to have bought while Bitcoin was at $16k+ back in November 2020 did still make good profits from there to above $60k Bitcoin price.
