Gambling is all about luck so to lose more money than to win is normal for me. If you think of gambling as a way to earn profit then you're just wasting your money.
There may be some people who earns a living from it but gambling is not a career for everyone. This is why gambling ruins some of people's lives because they think it is their ticket for success in life.

The reason we hear so many news and experiences from people of losing big money or getting addicted to gambling is because of the intention from which they play gambling. If they are playing just to make money will lead to many such things and mostly we have seen too people end up losing more than winning in the end. So only few may be lucky winning it big and not everyone.

You know, we gamble just to make money and I don't think that is the reason why there are so many people who lose money, the only thing that make us lose more money is because of our greediness. There is no such gambler who will play only for fun and do not want to make money, we just getting greedy after we win once or twice.

Indeed,  and I think its better to play and enjoy than after for the winnings.  If you're after the winnings, chances are you will lose more. But playing for entertainment, is much better because whether you lost or not that's not your goal. Winning the reward  is just a bonus. I agree with you. Gambling is always profitable, if it was only unprofitable then people would not gamble for so many years. Lots of people around the world gamble. Very few of them gamble online. Gambling is profitable. As long as you control it, you will lose money as soon as you lose control over it. its okay to find a job , make money and use that money to gamble than to see gambling as a job to earn money because that simply wont work easily . few sites allows you to gamble with zero bets and others offer free bets but you cant go anywhere with them although you can surely get entertained . not all but a part of the population dont want to work thier ass off but they want to earn money , first thing that came to thier mind is to do gamble because this fits thier criteria perfectly but hard earned money is still the best and more rewarding

Let's be honest mate 95% of all gambler play the game for the rewards involved which I personally don't see it as something bad while the bad part of gambling is not understood the concept of gambling to be game of chance which the possibility of winning a single bet is 1% and having the knowledge to gamble profitably cause it takes the mature mind to control buzz after exceeding daily bet range.

Well on some places (casinos) I am red, on some I am green! It's not possible to lose or win all the time, it's a game, and yes we lose money in most cases, but it's not total waste if you enjoyed playing, while you had a chance to make a lot more!

If I'm not mistaken, this is probably the reason why such activity was made, which is to just kill time. It just involves money which gave weigh to its importance for the gamblers. It depends on the gambler for me who gambles for fun back when I was still active gambler I only spend my extra money before my pay day or I receive my salary.
So if I lose then I wouldn't mind it at all or be greedy to try on win it back because I play to relax and have fun while aiming to win some extra money.

All the points presented by op on this thread are pretty accurated, but I would add that the main reason why gamblers keep losing without limits is impulsivity. That is the key which makes the gamblers vulnerable to break the *golden rule*, to fall for the classy environment and free drinks and food. If the gambler is a controlled person he won't commit these mistakes even if they are very interesting and flashy.
Stop being impulsive and you will stop losing without limits, that is the main precaution a gambler should take in my opinion.

In theory I could agree with that but in reality only a handful of people are that lucky to be winning strikes in a row, the fact is that the losses far out weigh the winnings. But this is the nature of gambling. I also find that when you feel lucky you go in big and when that ends in a loss because you feel lucky you keep betting forming this perpetual cycle. Of course, this is more the norm for people with an unrealistic idea of the world, themselves and gambling.
