And that is why house edge comes in the picture. They need to sustain the business so one way to have profits is by having house edge from their end. Doubt if a certain casino is offering 0% HE, they may have loopholes in the system. Your math is wrong, one gambler can win the whole profit from the prize pool, single Jackpot winner can change the balance between losers/winners. The house edge is designed to take from both sides no matter the player wins or loses, that is how casinos operate. A similar situation is not true for bookies because gamblers gamble against the bookie aka house. It's an answer to OP's statement about people losing more than they win in general because if you subtract house edge which I of course know about they statistically leave with less money than they came with.

If you put 1000 players on the floor and give each of them 100 USD you'll see that when the night is over they'll not come out with 100000 USD all together. That's how it works.

Taking down the house is harder than that. Plan and strategy might not be enough, you should also have that skills amd knowledge that you will need. You don't have to confuse about that because gambling is for making money, and if you try hard, you will not get better results. I suggest you play gambling without thinking about win and lose. Try to learn not from experience alone, go and step back and watch how others perform. Find a niche game that you will enjoy and you know that you can win more than lose, most games are in favor of the house so find one that favors the least and try to concentrate on that one, learn the do's and dont's. Do not feel disheartened that you lose, if you know that you are having fun and that it does not affect you financially then do it again. Maybe you don't learned your lesson while losing money because you already set in your mindset that you can easily win back what you've aready lost in gambling , and yet here it comes you already quit ng gambling , it is not about strategy it is about luck maybe you should try betting on sports even the odds is low atleast you can easily analyze team who will win and you can defeat other teams. Gambling is used as a place for fun and if you put all the money you have in the hope that you can get a lot of profit then it won't be possible because no one guarantees a win at every gamble you bet on so maybe you should be able to change your mindset. when gambling and use money that is not being used because the risk is that money at gambling can be lost instantly when you lose.

Strategy only lets you manage your funds properly and intelligently, it doesn't really let you win, nor does it help you beat the house edge. The only way to beat house edge imo is for the casino themselves to turn it off when you're playing. There were quite a few cases about such events happening, though the players already threw quite a hefty amount before asking the casino to let him play without house edges, he may have won in that case, but with the amount lost playing before hand? I doubt you could even call that a win.
