Well, one who wants to scam you is not going to expose the real identity and its been a stereotype that Nigeria has been linked with scams at most. But if someone trying to scam you from Nigeria is not going to tell that they are from Nigeria, they are going to give some pictures and even Identify of English men to deceive you.

Yeah, it's happening all the time, they always impersonate a handsome man from the UK. However, the point here is a scammer of Inksnation and Pinkoin blockchain projects, that the person responsible is a native of Lagos-State, Nigeria. It has become widely known that many scammers come from this country, even they form international syndicates to break into the bank system, atm or credit card, etc. a reminder to be careful of projects originate from this country, it is better to check carefully before investing in a project that promises large returns without adequate fundamentals.

You shouldn't blame me from running away from any crypto project that has a nigerian as one of its members, I don't hate this country but it's majority of its people are something else, not all nigeriana are bad though but .......here is a news I came across yesterday,

Nigeria Authorities Put mastermind of Inksnation and Pinkoin blockchain projects on wanted list

The full details can be read on here too

https://news.bitcoin.com/nigerian-authorities-put-mastermind-of-the-inksnation-crypto-scam-on-wanted-list/

For unknown reasons, i see this post as a racial attack against a particular nation. I have spent enough years on this forum, joined enough bounty campaigns on this forum to have learnt and be aware that frauds are from every part of the world.

The fact that you neglected the successes of terra credit; to throw such tantrum here fully explains your bias. Right from deex, Hex, to bitagro finance to iagon to several recent defi frauds across the blockchain, but here you are name shaming a country. You should limit this to your whatsapp conversation.

If i may ask you brethren; how is inksnation and pinkcoin a crypto currency token  or project? on what terms, qualities and characteristics do you affirm that they are a crypto currency token.

Ofcourse it is a terrible behavior to be fraudulent and scamming people; but it is also a terrible behavior to categorize a nation as frauds; it is vile and racist.

everyone, be it newbies or professionals must take responsibilities in their investment. do your own research, avoid greed and desperation; and crypto currency will be for you.

NB: I am not taking bias; but it is totally wrong to drag a country because few individuals decided to be fraudulent.

Scammers cut across several nations not limited to a perticular nation alone. Well most noobs investors don't make researches they are lured by promises of financial freedom.

Very well!

It is not only in Nigeria where there are bad people

All over the world you will find scammers.

It's very sad and that's why I don't invest in blockchain projects ...

Scammers are from every damn countries in this world, I know nigeria is full of scammers too but don't go around trusting projects because their members aren't from Nigeria lol, I'm kinda reluctant on russian blockchain projects too hahaha, it's a pity there is no way to safeguard crypto space because of decentralization.
What you mean from every damn country?? If you say every country, Yes scammer can come from all country.
And how you know that Nigeria is full of scammers?? I think we talking about scammer here, not talking about specific countries. And scammer is not related to your country but about who you are, whether good guys or bad guys

Scammers are everywhere and from all countries. Since it is easy to scam in the cryptocurrency world and easily escape after being scammed, this is why there are so many scammers in this industry.

Whether he is from Nigeria or any other country he has scammed investors from all over the world. I think this is why the exchanges are getting tougher day by day and paying more attention to kyc.
Crime always happens because the opportunity arises. Criminals can come from any country, it all depends on the individual, so let's not generalize about one particular country that becomes a haunt scammer.
We must also be aware that scammers target people who have little knowledge and experience in the cryptocurrency ecosystem so that they are easily lured with big rewards, even though scammers have unique characteristics that we can avoid in the first place. Unfortunately, the fraud model is getting tidier, we also have to do more analysis, not be greedy.

For some reason, the news about the culprit already convinced me that authorities are already doing their job in protecting their citizens against scammers for both fiat and cryptocurrency.  I don't blame OP if he has lost his trust for Nigerian maybe because he has past experience but of course, scammers are not only from Nigeria they are around the globe like predators waiting for their prey 24 hours a day.

I don't want to blame these people but I think due to our economic crisis everyone can make fraudulent cases like this.  So, must be careful when handling our cryptocurrencies or investing projects.

Scammers are really detrimental to the cryptocurrency world, and I don't agree if anyone says that Nigeria is a country that has many scammers.
Because there are scammers in almost all countries in the world, and we should all try to avoid scammers. So educating yourself and others is very
important to do. So that we are not wrong in choosing projects for investment.

Scammers are not typical into just one nation or country. It is widely spread across the globe and Nigerians are just one of those nationalities that execute such kind of scamming. We are already aware of the possibilities and risks that upon engagement into a project, there could be a possible chance that we will encounter a scam project that is why we must be aware of all the details and information that we must know before deciding to engage into such project. It is very hard to trust at times like this because anyone can be a potential scammer so be mindful of where you put your money with. We must equip ourselves with prior knowledge how to determine a scam or a legit one and do not be easily deceive with great offers because most of the times those serves as the bait of those scammers out there.

No one will blame you for having to think twice before investing in any project. I will not invest if i do not have the conviction about the project irrespective of the country of origin and Nigeria has a long list of scammers and i only hate the bad people who scam people of their money which they saved and not everyone and there are certain third countries which are more prominent in this area and hence the typecasting.

After I read the article that the OP shared, actually the project was suspicious, for example, it promised a lifetime income. It's really too good to be true.

Btw, scammers are everywhere, especially in the crypto world, so we have to be more vigilant.

The more scams that are happening, the more chances that the authorities will regulate crypto.
It isn't only in Nigeria that has scammers but all around the world.

Like I'm always saying, there will be no scammers if there are no investors who are willing to get scammed or I should say ignorant enough to get scammed to these new projects. They want profit?? There is no easy money here. Go invest into old coins and hold it.

There's just no place for this kind of scammers tbh. They are literally everywhere and just trying to stain the name of cryptocurrency with their shitty scam coin.

After I read the article that the OP shared, actually the project was suspicious, for example, it promised a lifetime income. It's really too good to be true.

Btw, scammers are everywhere, especially in the crypto world, so we have to be more vigilant.
Yes lifetime income itself already a sign of an obvious scam but can't really blame people because some people aren't that exposed to this kind of scam method so the fault still at the scammers for scamming the money of innocent people.

Regulation will make the crypto market tighter than ever, it can be both positive and negative. I just hope that investors not only want quick profits, but also have to appreciate the process of a project. In certain cases, there are newbies who get scamed because they don't know how to do research on a project.

Only in the case of crypto there are scammers everywhere at work the number of scammers is increasing due to the increasing demand for crypto, we need to analyze the sites well before the exchange it is up to us to decide which site to exchange. Scammers use a lot of tactics to make these unhealthy gains not just for crypto but in most cases for medical and health care supplies many of which are becoming increasingly rare coronaviruses disrupted supply chains around the world.

Then who to blame? Scammers or Investors?

There is no way scammers will be eliminated completely even how strict the law is.

We are the one who needs to adjust. As much as possible, investors should take their research into the serious mode as always before putting money. Most of them like passive income that's why it's easy to deceive them.

I have monitored about Nigerians activities in this community and yeah plenty are doing the same thing and that is scamming.
But let us not account the mistakes of some for the whole community because still there are many of them that is fair and legal,i think these scammers are the same group even then and just hiding their identities or passing the career to someone closer to them.

hoping that this will succeed and made a domino effect in which all the members will be apprehended and put behind bars to make the Nigerian community reputation be bright again.

That's right, it's time for all governments around the world to agree to protect crypto assets from scammers because I think crypto has now become a commodity even though it's not the main one. at least alternative investment and payment will be very suitable to be used using crypto.
That's a bit of a double-edged sword when you think of it. I think nobody wants their money to be under put to watch by the government.
If I want to hold millions worth of an X coin, I would just want it to be known by me otherwise the authorities might try to hunt me down on where did I get that sum amount of money.

Because of these scammers that are using altcoins projects campaign to collect fund from the investors a lot of community also are not easily to believe if ever there is a new projects arise in this field of business, because they want be more careful in choosing a new investment form. And I think the reason why most of the Nigerians scam others its because We all know that Africa was one of the poorest county all over the world, but that's not be the reason to do it.
