Will Monero (XMR) ever break its ATH price?

Monero is a Privacy coin, founded in 2014 and some people call it " Improved version of Bitcoin" its price didn't see much action  till 2017 but in mid 2017 t0 2018 its price went up from $12 to @494 when it got popularity as privacy coin. The current price of Monero is around $120 which is the highest of 2020. Keeping in view the Technological developments it has gone through and Hype in crypto market, it is possible that Monero will break its ATH record.

Yes it's possible if Bitcoin can reach it's old ATH in 2017 then altcoins will have no choice but to surge too, presently XMR is over 100$, altcoin season is getting prepared as I can tell, with altcoin season this is 100% possible

Today there are a lot of cryptocurrencies with high security level and Monero becomes less and less popular. Some time ago many people were talking about XMR like about very prospective token with bright future, but time passes and now I don`t think XMR price can reach all time high, only if there will be a huge hyip on the market like it was in the start of 2018

there is a lot of altcoins that are far away from their heights in January 2018, take for example ETH, but all others are in similar shape, XMR is on 20% of his heights, so that is not far from ETH, which is on 30%, and better than a lot of altcoins that are below 10% of their ATH - for example NEO, IOTA, XLM and between 10% and 20% like LTC and similar
so, it is in range with altcoin competition, maybe value at the end of 2017 was not reasonable in any way, and could be reached, but does not have to, even if BTC reach and overcome ATH, which seems reasonable at the moment

I think that monero has a good chance to reach the heights of it's ATH again if a bullrun similar to the one in 2017 starts again.
The same goes for all established altcoins in my opinion.
In my opinion the big difference with the next bullrun will be that we will not see every shitcoin pump like crazy like we did in 2017.
Coins like Monero, ETH, Dash and so on will definitely pump again when a real bullrun starts.

In 2017, the privacy coin had a very high popularity, but because of that a lot of privacy coins appeared like XVG and PIVX, and now I see that very few people are interested in investing in privacy coins, so I'm not sure the price Monero will hit ATH like it did in 2017.

Of course it will, the real question is "when?"

According to Coingecko ^[1], exactly 3 years ago, the Monero price was around 120$-130$ in fiat and 0.016 btc per coin, today it's sitting at 118$ and 0.006btc, so we're in the red in satoshis levels (great opportunity to buy, IMO). But the altcoin market right now has not even started a massive bull run like the one from 2017 which began around June. Looks to me like the altcoin season will kick off a bit late this time, but i wouldn't discard reaching the ATH levels once more in the next few months if the btc uptrend continues.

I think most of the large cap altcoins that have actually survived in the past 4 years will eventually do well, surpassing their all time high. At least this was the case in 2018, but doesn't mean it will be similar next time around. Monero being the most popular privacy coin does make it likely it will make a new ATH eventually though.

It is quite difficult to say because no one can really predict this space, those who tried failed. Also, many old projects have made a name for themselves hence reason why it's hard to beat them, not only that they also try to keep up to what's expected of them through more Improvements.
However, base on assumption; there are many privacy coins now which claims to be better but yet Monero has been the top privacy coin till date, thus I can say with more positive news coming in, there is every tendency Monero will go up as well since privacy is very important, maybe go up closer to its ATH or higher. In addition to this, the year is almost coming to an end and with Iittle time left, hence might not be this year.

Yes, the price of Monero has a chance in 2021 to rise simultaneously in relation to the price of BTC and the dollar.

In May 2022, Monero (XMR) cryptocurrency will change the emission algorithm to a new algorithm called "tail emission".

This will lead to a significant reduction in the supply of coins in the market and, accordingly, to an increase in the price of Monero.

Also, do not forget about the launch of the Tari project (Monero sidechain).  The mainnet launch is likely to take place in the spring of 2021.

I am predicting the price of XMR in the 0.025 to 0.04 BTC range.  I find this scenario very likely.

Yes.
There is always that chance for Monero to go back to its all time high. XMR doesn't have that difficulty of going back to the peak price before. Unlike the other altcoins, they are struggling to even go at least 10% of their current price. But this coin, no doubt that it will eventually go up again and could even go more.

A 4x price increase is not unrealistic. It does have higher inflation compared to Bitcoin so it could take a while before it reaches that price again. Since it has a lot of trading volume in it's BTC pairing it should see some benefit from Bitcoin continuing to rise. Even if it can't rise at the same pace, there has to be enough demand to keep it's price in BTC from falling at a bigger rate than the BTC price is climbing against USD.

I see 0.01% chance it will not reach $500. Right now Monero have 6% of number of Bitcoin transactions and with difference to Bitcoin they are increasing for more than 10% a month.  Monero stock to flow ratio is higher then of Bitcoin or Gold.  Monero price will end 100+ times above old ATH.

Monero was the best coin that worked on the privacy tech. I see a huge potential is owned by monero but the climate is changed. BTW people are still keeping their money on the decentralized finance.
it's quite difficult to attract those back again even monero has a very big daily trade volume combined with a very big community.
This coin is still waiting to get affected by the bitcoin hype. It's slowly but surely monero will make another ATH again.

In my opinion yes monero can break its ATH price but we need to wait more time till it will do that. Most probably this will happen in 2021 in a alts season when bitcoin will be dumped and the money will come into altcoins.

It isn't just "a" privacy coin, I'd say it's the only one with real utility (there are others too but they all require direct marketing spending and efforts otherwise nobody actually adopts and uses the rest as a private currency).

I don't see it as improved Bitcoin, just Bitcoin with privacy. 20% of its ATH now isn't too bad considering where most other alts are right now.

Very important point: Monero is money, not an innovative blockchain (Ethereum, EOS, Polkadot, etc.).

Imagine a situation where the price of bitcoins reaches a large value.  Investors will be looking for a similar but cheaper coin.  Most likely, their attention will be attracted by Litecoin and Monero.  Monero is very undervalued compared to Bitcoin.  Plus, Monero is a decent alternative to cash.  Monero is digital money (fungible and anonymous coins).  The project is constantly evolving, important code updates are announced every six months (in spring and autumn).  The main risks for Monero are delisting from cryptocurrency exchanges, regulatory bans and arrests of leading developers.  It is also very important that this coin is used by a large number of people, and the hashrate is constantly growing.  

The chances of a rise in the price of Monero already in 2021 are very high.

Most (if not all) of the cryptocurrencies that reached their ATH price in 2017 have not crossed that ATH price again till today. That doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen, it will happen, but not immediately. The way people be talking about cryptocurrencies reaching ATH price really surprises me.

In 2018 we were just coming from the bull run of 2017 and people were still talking about another bull run repeating itself in 2018 and saying rubbish that’s quite annoying, asking questions like 'when is the next bull run?’. People really need to calm down and understand that it doesn’t work the way they think.

XMR must be above $ 500 to be able to reach the new all time high,
for some reason I still rarely hear news about Monero, even though XMR is the top altcoin on coinmarketcap,
and XMR should be a conversation too, if Fomo comes to XMR it's much better, because this coin has been silent for a long time.
