That’s a decision they are going to make for themselves. I believe this news of them accepting Bitcoin must have gotten to them already, and they have seen other giant companies invest in and accept Bitcoin, they are seeing all that has been happening, I guess they just decided it’s best for them to not get themselves involved now.

Moreover, I want to get where some people are getting at with this, is it that they want amazon to invest in Bitcoin or they want them to accept it on their website, because investing and accepting it are two different things. I am seeing some people saying that they want Amazon to invest in Bitcoin, while what we actually want is for them to accept it on their platform.

Amazon accepting bitcoin would be fantastic and could help.push the price to the sky. Although Amazon may be waiting for a more scalable bitcoin before accepting it, but not to accept bitcoin as a means of alternative payment could be suicidal in the long run when all.competitors finally incorporate bitcoin.

From what I understand...most?...countries can purchase Amazon products...I'm unsure if 'free or reduced' shipping applies..but I'm pretty sure you can buy

Amazon anywhere. Again, correct me if I am wrong and you are overseas and cannot in some manner.

So with PayPal accepting BTC....and being able to get a debit card from coinbase or wherever....exchange (others) that offer same..

IF you are part of the 'unbanked' in the world, can you not simply do a KYC with your passport on an exchange like coinbase..get a debit card...

convert BTC to USD and use debit card on Amazon anyway?

I'd assume with Paypal offering a to take BTC....you at least could use the manner to take perhaps some shitty high inflation currency (Venezuela) and

convert it to BTC on Paypal...and at least guard in case of inflation of your shitty fiat currency from some countries and then use such to buy

products via PayPal and BTC purchase on Amazon?

Anyway...I'm supposing a lot above, but it has to be a lot easier to simply do a KYC get PayPal account and get BTC on PayPal to HODL or whatever and

at 'worst' convert it to USD to use in a manner you could get on selling sites like Amazon that used to be beyond your scope?

Those outside the USA correct me please, but some combo of the above should work to get a product off Amazon ...even if Amazon does not take BTC/Crypto yet.

I would 'suspect' as an aside, as happy as PayPal is about taking BTC and folks just planting it on their site for now, to HODL or eventually sell...Amazon

could probably offer the same kind of thing...you can HODL BTC at the price you bought and use it to buy stuff in the PayPal manner....anyway....thus my

guess

Although Amazon and Paypal are different industries, but Paypal is one of the largest platforms in the world, so Paypal accepting Bitcoin
will definitely make Amazon a little bit affected and consider accepting Bitcoin too. We all can't predict the future, so don't be too sure
Amazon won't accept Bitcoin, anything can happen. Even before I did not believe Paypal could accept Bitcoin, because Paypal is known as
a Bitcoin hater, but now Paypal has finally changed its mind and officially accepts Bitcoin. I'm sure the same will happen to Amazon too.

The way Amazon works is it sets up centers that manage shipping within an area of neighboring countries.

Like in the EU you have amazon.de, amazon.co.uk and so on. These sites handle all the EU traffic and have warehouses in many countries, even those that don't have their own domains set up for amazon.

The easiest way to get a product from amazon is with a gift card code. You could buy those for bitcoin for years now. I think I used BTC to buy amazon codes first time in 2017.
The codes add to your amazon account balance and you can use it to buy whatever you need. Balances don't transfer between amazon sites so if you are using amazon.de, you can't buy something from amazon.com

That would be a big change in terms of adoption for bitcoin. I don't know though if they will be considering or plan to accept bitcoin since if you all can remember, Steam accepted bitcoin for some time but stopped accepting it because of the transaction fees and maybe its volatility.

If they saw that PayPal had influenced the market, Amazon might not be doing that instead to push themselves and work on crypto. With growing numbers of crypto users and companies that accepting Bitcoin, it will be their consideration to offer such kind of services. This opportunity that the pandemic brought to us is the way also it helps for known and big companies will adopt the system otherwise, it gives an option as well for the people to choose others where they can maximize their Bitcoin.

If Amazon accepted Bitcoin it would be incredible. I have declined Amazon gift cards because I preferred to claim my payment with Bitcoin. I imagine that Amazon would notably increase its sales. There is a total skepticism because Bitcoin is not accepted on Amazon, the most possible reason is that its CEO Jeff Bezos does not like Bitcoin. But what will happen when Bitcoin is massively accepted? Amazon would have to reconsider.

Other people will be confused on what bitcoin what really is when Amazon will start accepting bitoin but i don't that this too far from the reality, However Company like this and other company are not accepting this kind of payment method. Also they already saw that paypal already had done job into bitcoin market and if this kind of situation saw then maybe Ceo Jeff will consider it as one of payment method but i say earlier lot of people will be confuse but then the good thing here is it will become more popular and will grow more.

I agree that many would be confused by this because in many places bitcoin's and many people are unaware of bitcoin's lack of legitimacy even if amazon accepts bitcoin it will take a long time for it to be introduced because most people are more inclined to transact through cash. The government will not support because it has no control blockchains allow digital transactions without any middlemen such as banks lawyers or any social network like ebay or amazon this is because blockchain transactions are made up of rule based steps or blocks which only progress automatically once the transaction is completed at the pre established stage.

Volatility is the main driving force on why bitcoin is not yet integrated on most businesses. In a business perspective, I wouldn't want to give the advantage to the customer, and to make a system that updates with the current bitcoin prices is very taxing for an e-commerce website. I do think that Paypal's integration is different than Amazon because they are different type of business.

I think Amazon has accepted bitcoin as a payment method for a long time, and it seems that not many users have made payments using bitcoin, because many people are not familiar with it.

BTC is extremely volatile that's most the big merchant like Amazon is hesitating to accept. It will be hard for them to process return in a volatile currency. Plus the cryptocurrency regulations is still uncertain so they don't to risk on using it since there business is running smoothly using fiat and there is no strong demand for Bitcoin to use in there platform.

Yes, that's the main reason why they are really doubtful on adopting bitcoin as a payment tool in most of their transactions. We all know that businesses are doing their best to earn profits and grow and they don't think that bitcoin can give them that.

I believe in case they decided to accept BTC in the future, They will not directly accept BTC but they will use third party services to convert instantly BTC to fiat.

This can possibly happen, but still, they accept bitcoin as a payment tool in them and it is still a good adoption for bitcoin.

Well, I am not aware of it. I thought they are accepting digital currencies which are fiat based but not cryptocurrencies. But there is a huge tendency especially with what happened recently wherein it could be the start of global payments using this technology but it is not yet assured. It will depend on how will it benefit third party networks or the economy perhaps, in general. Familiarity is also a factor, so since influence is already there, I think it would be a good basis for other companies, on how will they respond to crypto adoption. So let us all wait.

It matters if Amazon starts to recognize bitcoin and accepts it as a payment.

But they are a leader in their industry and I don't think they'll open something big such as accepting bitcoin in their platform. They are aware of bitcoin's existence and what will be the impact of it in the entire crypto market.

Big news if it comes but I don't see it coming the soonest.

So far Amazon has shunned Bitcoin as a payment method. With PayPal entering the crypto market So can Amazon do that?
With $ 280 billion in annual revenue, Amazon is a global leader in e-commerce. So far, however, it has shunned Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a method of payment (although it's nice to sell you goods decorated with the Bitcoin logo). For Bitcoin supporters, the prospect of the world's largest e-commerce company accepting Bitcoin payments is quite an interesting one - one that will signal mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies. and promote a wave of new Bitcoin adoption. Amazon holds a whopping 47% share of the US e-commerce retail market, with net sales in excess of $ 280 billion (as of 2019) and has more than 150 million Prime users worldwide. And that's just Prime. While not being disclosed, Amazon's user base is certainly much higher. Enthusiastic demographic of cryptocurrencies - it seems that Amazon's acceptance of payments in Bitcoin is undisputed. However since 2014 onwards, Amazon has refused to accept Bitcoin.
In your opinion if Amazon accepts bitcoin, where will its value go and what do you think about this matter? Kiss Kiss Kiss

If Amazon accepted btc or eth or other cryptocurrency    than people can buy easily product from Amazon. I was brought some service from seo clark and so happy that it allowed crypto currency. I heard that they rejected bitcoin 2014 but now bitcoin going to another level so anytime Amazon or other e-commerce can add a crypto currency payment method. I hope this time the cytpo market will be cross the 40000$ and i am waiting for this moment. Day by day people are interested in online platform    so bitcoin make another changed to this section.

Despite being the king of crypto currency, the world's largest online selling app Amazon still didn't recognize BTC as a payment system. I think Jeff bezos is planning to launch their own coin for the payment system but still people can use BTC indirectly to purchase from Amazon as gift card, If Jeff shows green signal to BTC officially I am sure the price of BTC will boom more than expected.
Amazon does recognize BTC very well. They are not accepting as a method of payment in their ecosystem yet but this does not mean they don't know about it. They know it very well and Jeff Bezos no where said that he's planning to launch his own coin for amazon payment system. Please do not spread misinformation like that.

Amazon is doing quite Okay with Paypal and they don't need to launch their own coin for their payment system and BTW they have gift cards which works pretty much like a currency itself.

PayPal doesn't accept bitcoin as a payment method. In other words, any platform that wants to make move because PayPal made a move may not accept bitcoin as a means of payment either. The only good thing PayPal did for us is publicity (but in a wrong way) because they are making people see bitcoin as an investment instead of a payment method.

If really Amazon has accepted the use of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin, I think it will help to speed up the price of bitcoin across the nation compare to it's  initial Price existing, so it will be at advantage and also be at benefit to bitcoin users because been Amazon of the world adopting bitcoin it will definitely rise the price of bitcoin which will be approximately $40,000 in price because other company can equally accept btc as use of payment.

I think it would be great if Amazon accepted bitcoin as a payment method. bitcoin will be increasingly popular in all countries, this will increase the popularity of investors in the crypto world, a good impact for bitcoin because the price will be more expensive from year to year. I think investing in bitcoin is a promising investment for the future.
That is interesting. I still wish that bitcoin is recognized worldwide, and that we can pay bitcoins for purchases on any online shopping platform.

Bitcoin should be accepted everywhere. I believe that even big supermarkets will start taking Bitcoin. In several years our children will be used to this situation and call paper money something like the old-school stuff. Just let us wait.
