Merchant gateway to accept credit cards, any suggestions?

I'm looking for an easy-to-implement way to let customers pay using their credit/debit cards via my website (without going through third parties like PayPal, Skrill..), I have looked into AdvCash but it seems difficult to implement, lots of mambo jambo coding, well at least that's what looks to me, plus no assistance whatsoever. Any suggestion? Preferably the bank account should be located in Europe. Thanks.
