^ Before I used this exchange when there is no KYC, but after they announced that they start implementing KYC, I switched to other exchange that has good support and does not have usually a technical issue. Just keep in touch with them and probably they will answer be able to withdraw after you will submit all documents needed for the KYC. If you have valued the amount that you left in there, there's nothing you can do is to proceed with the KYC and recover your money. Nevertheless, I have doubt that this is a small problem if you did not violate the rule, read the TOS for this concern so that you will know.

I'm using HitBTC for quite a long and I have no issues with them. If you are following their rules and provide what they are asking for will likely complete your transactions. Yeah, it gonna be our discretion to comply with KYC or not, but you did not complete it and a reason that holds your transaction. For me, it wasn't a big deal when complying with KYC if we know that we are giving it to the right person. However, you didn't trust HitBTC.com and have to live that, and never think that you can find a way to have your coins out from this site.

Does your activity's normal things? If yes, you can send some ticket to asking why then how to solved the problem. Usually they had lock on your account for reason security, you will be asked to do KYC procedure.

i contact support and they asked to complete KYC documents.
but my trade volume is low, and i don't want to share my personal documents with anyone.
plus, i used site long time ago and they never asked for that before.

do you know if they will release my funds automatically by the time?
No, they require you to provide kyc and they will not release your funds unless you documents are completed. I dont know why they suddenly become strict to your account. Perhaps you have surpassed the amount of money of providing kyc, right? I know you do not want to give your personal data to hitbtc but there is no other way.

He wont have any choice but neither to comply or not and most likely when an exchange do ask out for some verification on where the users had already passed their trading limit.

Its expected for platforms like this will ask it out but there are some who are really having some decent limit on daily basis just like Binance on having 2BTC per day

and I don't know why there are still people whom do make use of Hitbtc which it does have a bit shady kind of reputation.

Hitbtc is a trusted exchange, I have never experienced problems while using Hitbtc. Some exchanges now do require KYC procedures,
this is indeed a regulation from the government to prevent money laundering from happening. My advice is to just follow their requests,
by providing you with KYC documents, and after that you can withdraw your funds. Because there is no other way to be able to withdraw
your funds from Hitbtc, if they have enforced these rules.

The last time I used hitbtc it was on peace, It was in 2017 when I quit using that exchange because I found out that there is a better exchange than them but I didn't expect them to fall too much. I've been seeing different complaints about them after implementing their KYC procedures.

i'm old user of HitBTC too, but today i used to exchange 0.2 btc into 3600 USDT.
when i try to withdraw i got that error. i used HitBTC before with up to 7 btc total. but don't know what happen after a long time. so be careful.

if account verification is required, why they don't ask for it before i invest.
however, for small trader i don't think documents should be required.
I think you didn't read their TOS after depositing that amount. I am an old user too, using it after a long time of inactivity it would be our responsibility to read their TOS again before using it, their KYC procedure is strict and pain in the a**.

Disabling withdrawal doesn't mean that Hitbtc is scam. Probably, they have reasons for doing that. Try to submit kyc so that you can get  your funds out of the exchange.

still same error after 3 days.
Withdrawals are temporarily disabled on your account. Please contact us via this form.

as they said on ticket reply, i was using Proxy/ VPN and that was right. i use VPN normally when i enter wallet or exchange site for security.

part of ticket reply :
We kindly ask you to disable all tools masking your network activity (VPNs or proxies) when logging into your HitBTC account while your identity and the activity on your account are being verified.

I read now on their terms :
HitBTC reserves the right to close any of your HitBTC Accounts, to liquidate any open trade positions, and to force you to withdraw all the crypto assets from the Technology Platform in case if: (i) HitBTC determines that you are accessing the Services or the Technology Platform from any Restricted Jurisdiction, or (ii) you have given false representations as to your location of incorporation, establishment, citizenship or place of residence.

in this case, they should allow me to withdraw my money and then close my account.
i will agree to leave HitBTC forever, after they give me my money.

what you suggest in this case?

Did you sent documents and waiting for their approval now?, as far as I know after your documents get verified you should be able to withdraw all your assets without any problem since legally they don't have any other reason to keep your account blocked, there were similar cases like you here in the forum before that had the same problem as you with HitBTC and they had to do KYC and after that they were able to withdraw so there's no need to worry, just wait for now, unless there's a problem with your documents you will be verified just fine like the others.

After long time you are immediately trying to withdraw huge amount that is why you account is under suspicion so you are required to pass KYC if you want to get the access of your funds,it is really the issue with all centralized exchanges and try to pass KYC to get the funds back or else it will stuck there forever.

OP what makes you afraid of complying simple rules by providing KYC ? Are you a public entity or has some serious records on your country thats why you are afraid? KYC is mandatory now in most exchanges because of money laundering if you understand this then send KYC and comply with all the rules if not let Hitbtc take your funds forever.
There is a certain grey area where users are asked for KYC just when they try to withdraw their money. I understand that rules state that we should be able to provide documents when asked but honestly this is a strange kind of thing because you do not ask user when he trades and deposits but ask him for ID proofs as he withdraws. I am fine with that but some users might not and same happens with some gambling sites as they see a user wins big, they will ask documents.

That been said though, at the end of the day if providing documents actually solves the problem then I would have no issues.

why they didn't ask for documents when i want to deposit bitcoin. this is hidden trap inside the rules.
I can feel that but since you agreed to their rules, you have to provide them whatever they demand now.

There are so many information about Hitbtc that suspend withdraw their users like this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5194492.0

Indeed, this is an old exchange but they have a bad reputation.

Have you contect their support? If you have then the support didn't give any clear information then your money will loss and there is no one who can be able to restore your money.

If you really want your money back, you have to follow all the requests asked by Hitbtc. Since you are currently in a bad position,
you must follow the Hitbtc rules. Like prohibiting accessing Hitbtc with a VPN, you have to access their website without VPN.
Next Hitbtc wants you to send the documents, just do whatever they ask. I'm sure you can get your money back.

no you miss understood what they say . they dont say you can withdrew but they say that they control all and wont allow you to withdrew  . the only way is to turn off your vpn for a while and logon back so that they can process the verification ln your account . hitbtc wasnt a scam but it was among those top trading exchange before when binance was not popular . have you access them before with a vpn ? it can also be thier mistake if they change rules and dont announce it or yours too if they announce it but you didnt read it .

Maybe there is a suspicious activity on your account. Better review TOS again and see it your self if there are illegal thing you do that violated their TOS https://hitbtc.com/terms-of-use .

The only thing that you can do for now is ask them what kind of violation you do that resulted of being suspended.

in this case, they should allow me to withdraw my money and then close my account.
i will agree to leave HitBTC forever, after they give me my money.

what you suggest in this case?

This is the reason why you need to continue contacting them.

When they have scam intentions, they will definitely not spend a penny on those who have money stuck in Hitbtc.  But in this case, they still try to come up with a solution to the victims, which is also a good sign.
I just hope they continue to grow and not steal any of the coins from everyone here.  So the best way is to wait and do not do anything detrimental to Hitbtc's reputation.

Maybe have any reason when your withdrawing disable from Hitbtc, did you change your password last one day before you make withdrawing or not, if you change your password or you change 2fa absolutely your account should disable for 1x24 hours later. Another reason maybe your coin withdrawing are disable from Hitbtc and you should use other coin support for withdraw, if above reason is not the same maybe you should asking on hitbtc support, be careful with this exchange because they can reset your account and I faced with this moment my 2fa reset by exchange and I try to log in not needed 2fa code, but I don't have any balance in hitbtc after sell coin on hitbtc I will withdraw to my wallet.

_snip_
what you suggest in this case?

Yes you can leave the exchange (after your problem is resolved) if they make it difficult for you to withdraw your own funds. If you don't want KYC, then you can't sue for anything because you can't comply with their policies.

But I think your actions are too bold, I read this thread from the start. What makes you confident that HitBTC employees are not hanging around here? You offer someone else to do KYC for you and then you change your mind about asking your friend to do it.

This space for rent.

I have used hitbtc and it says withdrawal disable there, but it only lasts a day,
maybe Hitbtc maintains their system, and makes withdrawal disabled, try visiting again tomorrow

No, all withdrawals work flawlessly but something is wrong with the account of the opponent. If any of the coins has been disabled for trading or deposits, withdrawals this page will warn the user. Check this status page of HitBtc exchange for detailed info: https://hitbtc.com/system-monitor You can check the different token's status via this link and be sure if the HitBtc has disabled any feature related to the specific altcoin.
