New feature on AltcoinsTalks forum - you can teleport your rank from bitcointalk

Because I think terrible for teleported member and gain Legend rank instantaneously, which we must to make a hard effort to reach it but he reach it for so easy.

Actually I have no problem with the admin's decision,. because the altt has a higher ranking than the legend. I know your problem mate is not easy to get ranked hero and even legend on Altt, but the solution is only one, namely actively contributing to the forum, I think your rank will go up

ranking up is tough on both forums, for btt it is even a bit tougher with merit, but yes, activity and good content is the key in both forums
we have some star wars ranks above legendary, so some fun can still be achieved ranking up

trust can not be teleported, we have a classified section overthere so the approach is different.
and i personally do believe that people are naturally good, so it would be unfair to makes the mistakes a user did follow him everywhere.

It's good to believe people are naturally good. But what if they would like to use this feature to scam one of your members. It's unfair for some members who would like to use this feature for advertising their project, but this could be an advantage for scam purposes. Still, if your decision is final, I can't change it. Teleporting ranks, quite a brilliant idea. But I would also recommend you teleport TRUST. A lot of Senior Members and above who do nothing but shill and naughty things. Last thing you want is all those red trust Legendaries to start going to a forum elsewhere and have a clean slate.

Applications should then have 2 or 3 max items to prove you're useful. Merit history maybe too.

so far haven't seen any, will keep an eye
but usually it is easier to create new user with blank reputation than use a user that can be tracked to bad behavior

This is pretty interesting.  However, I don't think many will take advantage of this teleportation opportunity.  I have an account with the rank of a full member since 2017.  Now no one can pump even to this rank, since first of all you need to gain one hundred merites.  To have such a rank on Altcoinstalks, you need to have 300 messages and an account at least two months old.  This is achieved fairly quickly.  However, it must be admitted that such a step by the administration of the Altcoinstalks forum is very smart.

The crypto community is growing fast, and with new waves of users, the experience gets diluted. We end up with groups of people talking nonsense about price speculation, with no real knowledge at all.
We want experienced people to have a say on our forum. That's why we are launching the Teleported rank.
This rank allow top users to teleport from other forums to ours, while keeping their rank.
That means they can have valuable discussions, share their knowledge and improve the quality of discussion, but also they can join bounties and airdrops on our forum as well.

There are few simple conditions:
- Need to open an account with the same username as the forum you are teleporting from.
- If you already have an account here, tell me to label the teleported one as duplicate.
- In the signature in the other forum, put a link to the teleported profile you opened on our forum, link should be: My Altt
- message me with details:
 link to your profile + info if it is your first account here or it's a duplicate

i don't get what you mean
a teleported rank, is basically your  altcoins talks account will be the same rank as you bitcoin talk account. this means > you get access to most boards and you can join bounties and sell on classified etc ... we are recognizing the users for who they are and not necessarily for how long they have been on our forum

altcoinsTalks is getting popular. there are many active users somehow, cryptocurrency will be populated with lots of people and I guess different forums as well will be populated by different people who wants to communicate with people of same interest. i will create an account there, it doesn't need to have same email address right?

the merit system is great and a big applaud to implementing it!
on altt we have other systems, we have karma, we have plagia strikes we have quality strikes, it's not an awful place ...

You may also need to consider the type of merit you get as a basis for granting teleport. I am sure you have known that members have received meritdrops according to the ranking of members when the merit system was implemented and some of them also managed to earn merit because they were good posters to move up to the next rank.

If you are also going to teleport members who have received meritdrops to date, you should give more privileges to members who move up the rankings based on the merit they have earned (eg teleporting them 1 to 2 rank higher than on this forum).

Thanks for the share up and the effort! I guess this doesnt violate anything yet they do just only decide to teleport or do copy on what rank you do have on this forum.
The only flaw i do saw on this one is that people can freely make use of other profiles of other users on this forum without even letting them know.
Unless if theres some sort of verification like some sending some pm's that proving out that they did really register on altcoinstalk.If theres none then
its no surprise that majority will be targeting out on using those Hero and Legendary ranks.

I checked Altcoin talk view days ago, just to offer my service there, turns out that I already made an account several months before. Their forum is quite new I think, the number of user is far less than bitcointalk but they definitely growing and they also have some good active bounty campaign.

I think this kind of features (ranks teleport) can be a good and bad at the same time. It will be good for people that came from other forum like Bitcointalk, they can just up their ranks without much effort, but it might be also seems unfair to totally new comers. I still dont quite understand how the ranks affect the user on altcointalk tho, I got a 'baby-step' rank and already able to put image on my signature

I have been away for quite a while and I wasn't aware that there is this forum for alternate cryptos. Thank you OP for posting this thread. For a bounty hunter like me, it is wonderful because I will be able to find another bounty and earn from it for my financial reasons.

Means they have a lack of effort to do, while many members started from zero activity on altcoinstalks have no such easiness from altcoinstalks forum.

I don't have an account on that forum. After I looked in general what the forum is and the activity of its users, I realized that I did not want to have an account there. Maybe someday my opinion will change, but now there is nothing to do there. Even such promotions will not change much.

The admin must consider this, it's not good for people to start from zero activity and must to try harder to get a high rank,, but he knows there is a system which allows new people can get high rank instantly, it's hurt for him and I think admin already know the lack of this system.
