It's really subjective. The "best" use case will completely depend on why you actually personally need it. You use bitcoin as an inflation hedge? Then that's probably the best use-case for you. You like using bitcoin for payments? Then that's probably the best use-case for you. You like having self sovereignty and total control over your money? Or maybe you just like the privacy aspects of Bitcoin? Or maybe you just don't trust central banks? Etc etc.

Bitcoin as an asset or store of value is what others are familiar with it. They've even introduced to it as it is and not being a payment transfer method. Btw, what do you mean by VC on your title? virtual currencies?

In my opinion, the best use case would be to implement in buying digital services. So, instead of using credit cards, etc, you would be using crypto but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Imagine the biggest e-payment service having over 325M users selling bitcoin merely as an asset! It won't let you withdraw bitcoin, send bitcoin, receive bitcoin and use bitcoin. Restricting the use of bitcoin merely as a fluctuating investment.

This in my opinion is real-real bad for bitcoin. It's like Facebook not allowing Instagram users to upload images after acquiring it (which didn't happen thankfully). PayPal is setting different narrative for bitcoin, showing its users that bitcoin is nothing but a stock-alike, buy it, sell it and pay your dumb taxes. Imagine if even half of the 325M user base start using bitcoin in this way, without understanding the underlying technology and what they are buying - bitcoin will easily become bubble-riding internet shit-token gaining 400% one day and losing 70% the other day, no different than gambling.

The best use case in my opinion is already shown to public but they fail to realize it. That is the use of crypto as a currency and a mode of transaction that is censorship resistant and decentralised. This means bitcoin cannot have a central control and this type of a deflationary currency might be a different economic system altogether.

If governments may not wish to accept it even then it will be same and not stop growing in price and popularity

Surely we are still to see any significant flaws in this system.

BTC is good for retirement investment or sort off asset that will be need in the future since the nature of the price of BTC was for long term investment. Using it as e-payment or for daily transaction is definitely not fitted for BTC current condition since the fee is high and the transaction confirmation is very slow. There are several use cases of virtual currencies and it's very subjective to decide the best one! Let me list out a few,

1. Being a currency, the major use case is payments. Which is not yet a very popular method because of the fees and non-favorable legislation.
2. Removing middleman is another use case of bitcoin where a direct payment to the end recipient is possible. But again it comes under payment itself
3. Contactless payment is another practical use case of virtual currencies. Look at the video below,

Last but not the least, it provides power to you to manage your own finances without going through intermediaries like Banks.

There are many more like Investment, lending ecosystem etc. But these are major use cases!

Sky is the limit dude . The use of blockchain technology is broad, if you will imagine every place where fiat is involved can be replaced by bitcoin. So try to think further, its application is not only limited on store payments. It is now using as payment for availing in online streaming (e.g. Netflix, Pornhub) ten what more for the rest of services can be found in the Internet. It can now also be used to gambling whether on line or physically along with your friends. Ang Pao is out, Trezor wallet is in. See? There are lots of applications possible.

But here is my own ideas on what bitcoin can be more in the future.
1) Bitcoin as a stimulus package/financial aid.
2) Bitcoin as a prize in game shows or competitions.
3) Bitcoin as a ransom. etc.

A lot it can be an investment, micro payment, can be used in gambling you can also use it for a mode of payment actually you can do anything with bitcoin as a mode of exchange as long as the two parties will accept it for example user 1 wanted to sell his land and you ask him if you can pay in bitcoin and if he accepts it then you can use anything with bitcoin but for best use case? I think it's in trading.
