Ok to make it easier for readers to understand this thread:

- Oscillators = Altcoins charts history that look similar to bitcoin chart history (Multiple bull & bear market cycles).

- Degenerators = Shitcoins (Just 1 bull market pump to triangle shape peak to forever downtrend dump kiss of death bear market cycle with no chance of another bull market cycle in the future) = $0

When searching for altcoins on Coinmarketcap or Coingecko then how you search/filter out shitcoins? Whats the best tried & tested rules of selecting a good altcoin, is it any coin within the top 100 rankings out of 10000 altcoins out there on the market?

Obviously there will be yearly fashion trends like De-Fi, ICO's, STO's that will go out of fashion obviously.

yes, this is right, because only a good and solid altcoins project will have a similiar chart to bitcoin
but not with shitcoins, thats mean there is two kind of altcoins in simple words real altcoins and shitcoins

Okay how I search for these real true altcoins on coinmarketcap or on coingecko without the tedious long process of comparing each alt chart to btc and eth charts?

So only a handful out 6000 altcoins are worth the investment.

Whats the minimum marketcap of a altcoin is recommended? Top 100?

What if a altcoin is a degenerator but maintained its top 100 position in the last few years from the last bull run in from early 2018?
